  1. I see that a lot of people are commenting on the crowds. I have never been on Royal and therefore never on an Oasis class ship. I can tell that there are going to be crowds for my August sailing but I'm trying to understand these comments. Are the crowds worse in comparison to the sailings that had limited capacity due to Covid OR are the crowds actually that much worse than pre-covid. I sailed on the NCL Escape in 2019 and thinking back it was fairly crowded. However, reading the posts it seems like there are major problems onboard doing anything. Just wondering if someone could clarify.
  2. I am really enjoying your review. Thanks for taking so much time out of your trip so that the rest of us can enjoy it vicariously. You haven’t mentioned it much this time, but the last Oasis review it seemed like you had sushi all the time. My wife would eat sushi everyday if she could but the rest of the family not so much. I am wondering if it’s possible to get sushi from Izumi and bring it elsewhere. That way she could get her sushi fix and we could have more variety. If so, would you need a reservation? I’m trying to map out my reservations now so I’m ready to book them when I board.
  3. Ditto. I’m so happy to hear we don’t need reservations. I prefer to have flexibility and I was nervous I was going to have to plan the whole week around when we could get spots in AO. Thanks so much for the answer. With this info I am so much more excited about our trip.
  4. Thanks for your review. I’m looking forward to being on Oasis in August with my wife and two sons. I was wondering if you could answer a question about AO. This question was posted by a few people in another thread but I never saw an answer. Do you currently need to reserve times for AO? I see in your review that there was a time that they reached capacity but after that it seems like there was no problem. Any info you have about the process would be greatly appreciated.
  5. It’s been 10 years since I was in Santorini but my wife and I took the bus from Fira to Oia. I just checked online and there are still buses running every half hour in both directions. According to Google maps the station is a 7 minute walk from the cable car. The cost seems to be about 2 euros one way per person. If you’re worried about slow tenders and missing your private tour, this may be an option to give you more flexibility (and probably save some money). https://santorinibus.com
  6. I know that a reservation will be made for me on Night 1 or 2 of my sailing. Is there a way to know where and when the reservation is before boarding? I'm about 40 days out and I see a reservation for 6pm on Day 1 but there is no restaurant listed. I didn't know if that was an actual reservation time or just an indication that I have the UDP and to remind me something will be scheduled. Also, do I have to use that reservation or can I change it once on board?
  7. Does anyone know if Oasis has resumed My Time Family Dining? I’ve seen conflicting reports as to whether it has been reinstated.
  8. Does anyone know if Oasis has resumed My Time Family Dining? I’ve seen conflicting reports as to whether it has been reinstated. Also, if it has resumed does anyone know the time it begins? My plan would be to eat in the MDR most nights and have my two boys go to Adventure Ocean. Some nights we may just let the boys eat and make a Specialty Dining reservation for after they get picked up.
  9. I have a phone. I just wasn’t sure if I was going to pay for Voom or the daily messaging app. Now I am wondering if I will be forced to in order to communicate with Adventure Ocean.
  10. If they plan to call or text do you need to pay the daily fee for the messaging app or can they contact you without it?
  11. This is great to know. I have seen that there are some beepers but you may have to ask or it may be for special circumstances. While I was searching for info on the beepers I did find an update on masking in Adventure Ocean. I guess it is now recommended but optional. I’m happy to hear that because that was the other concern I had about my youngest. He’s potty trained but I was nervous he would get kicked out because he isn’t great at mask wearing.
  12. First time on Royal Caribbean and first CC board post! I know the rules about Adventure Ocean kids clubs. Children must be potty trained to participate (meaning they can remove their pants, do their business, wipe, flush and wash all without help). My 2yo almost 3yo son has been potty trained for a few months and can do all this, but his daycare has smaller toilets. He needs help using adult sized toilets. Does anyone know if there are smaller toilets or some type of step so that he is able to do this in his own?
