  1. I live in NOLA, I'm happy to email you a list of "not to miss" that I send to friends coming here for the first time. Plantations, swamp tours, French quarter, and D-Day museum are definitely top contenders.

Too many great restaurants to list! Happy to send you that email if you'd like.

Hi, thanks for offering some advice. Do you (or anyone else on here) have any ideas on any tours that would allow us to bring our luggage after the cruise? Or any kind of storage place for the day? Our flight home isn't until after 7 pm.

My email is mvaygibson@aol.com. Thank you very much!

  2. We stayed there this past Oct 30th. I booked through Trinity Reservations. Got a great rate. Room was very nice. Restaurant right next door. Free breakfast was ok. They had a nice pool, but we didn't have a chance to use it. The shuttle to the port worked out great-about 15-20 minute drive. Getting back to the hotel to get the car was ok-we were told to call them after we got through customs which we did, but we had to wait about 30 minutes for them and it was cold outside. I would stay there again if cruising out of Baltimore.

  3. In Nov '14, we booked through Irie Tours in Curacao. I would recommend them. The were very organized and it was a fun day. We went to a distillery, drove through the city and learned some history, drove through older and newer areas, had time at a beach, and when the tour was over, we still had time to see the floating bridge and do some shopping.

Same cruise in Aruba, we took a taxi to a beach and spent time there and rented a jet ski. Then took the taxi back to town and went shopping near the cruise port. Enjoy your planning and cruise!

  4. Hi, I'm not sure about the Magic but My husband and I were on the Glory a few years ago and we had an interior on deck 8 aft. We didn't pick it-got the guaranteed rate. This was under the aft pool. It wasn't too bad except for when they drained the pool and were doing repairs ( hammering and welding noise). While the pool was being filled, the water running was a little loud too. I don't remember hearing anything else like chairs being moved. It was a great cruise (New England/Canada).

  5. Just wondering what your opinions are with these cabins? I just booked on the Pride and picked one that is at the end of a lifeboat and to the left is where the balcony rooms start. I think having fresh air as opposed to the view is a bonus for me (I usually book interiors with my last cruise a porthole which was nice). Any thoughts, suggestions? Thank you!
