Especially seeing delays in Brilliant Lady are due to them not being able to pay for fitout. That has them negotiating between the Caribbean & Australia for 2024/25, fishing for a deal that will max their returns.
Whether they do or don't, they need to get out from under the couch and announce something so that those currently booked know where they stand for next summer, and can make other plans if they pull the pin. While the itineraries are on hold, they are still selling FCC's to unsuspecting passengers.
I’ve just disembarked from the Resiliant. I was speaking to the Future Cruise staff member and she said that the itineraries will be announced next week.

Pricing will need to fall if they want consistent bookings no matter how nice the ship is. Once people have tried it once they will return to cruising with the cheaper lines.
Have you cruised on Virgin Mic? -
There have been quite a few cases now on my Deck 9 as well as Influenza A

The RMS here are giving them out.

My annual insurance is my $150 annual NAB Velocity CC fee.
My Westpac doesn’t cover one of my pre-existing conditions or domestic.

I did a quote with Qantas and it came in as $2485 without pre-existing medical conditions.

The Qantas quote was $2485 with the pre-existing medical conditions.

I tried to do a quote for my husband 72 and me 65 with 1Cover. It’s saying that you can’t purchase an annual policy if you are over 65. Does anyone have any suggestions for annual policies for over 65?

I wonder if the person who missed there connections would be covered by travel insurance?

We are cruising to Noumea and Lifou in November. We only plan on going ashore in Lifou. I couldn’t use my Westpac insurance because it doesn’t cover my pre existing conditions. I’ve just been diagnosed with cancer so I hope that I can get cover for it.

We have the NAB platinum visa debit card and are doing as much travel as we can afford, before husband turns 76. Works for us and saves a lot of money in regards to travel insurance.
It doesn’t cover for cancellation for travel to Norfolk Island. Also It doesn’t cover pre existing medical conditions either.

Sorry to hear this Les. Take care.

Only last week I applied for and received free travel insurance through our Westpac mastercard, for next year's trip, which includes two cruises (Oceania and Cunard). I completely missed reading the last section of the Letter of Eligibility we received, and being concerned about cover for the cruises, I rang the helpline. A patient and efficient person confirmed we are automatically covered for cruises, and directed me to, "Eligibility for Cover while Cruising and for Epidemic/Pandemic (such as COVID-19) Cover".
Hope this answers your question, as it did mine 🙂
I wish the Westpac card (underwritten by Allianz) covered my pre existing medical condition.- 1

Definitely can snore sitting up,my husband’s snoring could wake the dead sometimes, the blowing not so loud.
Cheers Carole
My husband is the same he will snore on the lounge watching TV. He did the trail for the CPAP machine and they sacked him saying he wasn’t suitable. So I regrettably put up with his loud snoring. He drops off the sleep anywhere including short plane flights.

Given my experience with Southern Cross, I found it useful to be able to discuss medical coverage with an agent at Allianz.
Though when I was wanting coverage for Norfolk Island the Allianz agent gave me the wrong information. -

Cheers, I have been using a card from sim corner, 12 GB of data 30 days $30. Prepaid, dates set for when you want it to start and they send you the card.
I’ve used sim corner for New Zealand

Yes, the answers to questions were usually ‘yes’ or ‘no’. However, given my previous experience with Southern Cross charging for conditions which had not been diagnosed within the last year, or had a change of medication, I asked for confirmation of coverage and lack of charging, to make sure I had not misunderstood the agent. We then had a discussion about conditions which were considered stable because of my answers, not being liable for an extra charge.

I’ve just done a small claim through 1Cover. I had to upload a copy of my drivers licence and a selfie. I don’t look anything like the photo on my drivers licence. The claim is less than $100 for an GP consult and script after the excess is take off. They wanted a medical report which I completely forgot to get from the GP. If 1Cover say they want a report I guess I’ll have to email the medical practice.
To use wise card or not.
