I have the same problem and could never figure out how to solve it.
Now I just use my spouse’s acct for random browsing.  When I have a cruise booked I can sign in by using the cruise booking number.

My husband has been doing this for about a year now.  Would be so nice if this could be an easy fix.  Unfortunately we have 4 cruises in the next 15 months, so are reluctant to keep messing with it in case he gets locked out.

Yes there was an update. We reported yesterday that the log in settings were not working and you would be logged/timed out.

If you don’t have automatic updates set for the App, you can go to your App store, Princess App and click UPDATE.

Went to Google Play and there is no option to UPDATE.

Things are mostly working for me today. I still get some errors and "can't do thats" but mostly it's there. I do have to log in each time, but username/password is working.

One thing I find odd is the muster station it's showing. We like forward cabins and have almost always booked those. Our muster station has always been the Princess Theater, but the new app is showing Crooner's Bar on deck 6. Anybody have any thoughts on that? Not a big deal, but just wondering.

We are on Riviera Deck mud-aft and for this location our Muster Station has always been Crown Grill Bar, but the new app is also showing Crooners Bar for us.  One more item to be resolved.

So far the new app is working good it did not make me put in a shore cc to be green I have not deleted the old one yet since I have a cruise in 8 days so I'll keep it for now and delete after this cruise.

Same for me and I specifically looked at that item.

I couldn’t book it on the original app either nor was my TA able to book it when she called them. As others have experienced their call center reps don’t have a clue why. It’s possible to make CG & Sabatini’s reservations but not for any day/time for Catch for our April cruise. 🙄

We are on Discovery in April.  I booked Bistro Sur La Mer in early November, even though I knew it had changed to The Catch.  My dining reservations are now showing the correct date and time for The Catch.

  6. If you are in a full suite as opposed to mini-suite, then it is comped.  Up until recently, you would receive a tel call from Princess asking which night and time you would like to attend.  However, now that it is available to all passengers that are willing to pay, reservations can be made on the app under specialty dining.  I tried to make a reservation but the app wanted to charge my credit card even though we are in a full suite.  I asked my TA to call Princess and see what the current situation is and she was told that passengers in full suites will have a letter in the cabin upon boarding telling you your scheduled date and time and if that is not acceptable you can see the Concierge to make the changes.  My concern is that the date and time we want may not be available by then.  We will see.  We have done it previously and LOVED it.

That point is in my survey each and every time.  Celebrity banned all indoor smoking a long time ago and they are still filling their casinos.

Also been putting that on our survey at the end of every cruise.  Seems like Princess is missing a bet, literally, as we spend almost no time in the casino anymore.  Can't deal with the smoke!

  8. We were in a suite on Discovery so we were comped.  We loved it and would definitely pay to do it again, but our next 3 cruises on Discovery will be in suites, so I am hopeful the current policy of comping suites will still be in effect.  However, either way- we will attend.  I am not much of a seafood fan and do not eat shellfish, but I promised myself I would at least taste whatever they served and am I glad I did because I loved the octopus.  The steaks were just as we like them, medium-rare.  My husband has food allergies and we provided this info when they originally offered us the invitation.  Also, the day before our reservation the host of the 360 experience tracked us down ( we were in the Piazza having a drink) and confirmed the allergies, which we very much appreciated.  I hope you enjoy your evening as much as we did.

  9. We are also desert dwellers (low desert near Palm Springs) and we also love being able to drive to the port.  We are booked on the cruise immediately following yours.  Hope all goes well and you are able to cruise.  This is our 3rd time on this itinerary, so ports are not that important to us.  We enjoy ship/sailing time.

When you board the Discovery, where do you go to make specialty dining reservations? Or do you call from your cabin?

If you don't make them in advance on the app, then you can call the dine line from your cabin or you can just go to the restaurant and check availability - even if the restaurant is not open there is usually someone there to take reservations.  If you are in a full suite you can ask the Concierge to assist you.

Can you please tell me where the 360 Experience restaurant is located?  Which deck and what restaurant?  I am having a hard time finding it on the deck plan/map.  Thanks!

It is inside Sabatini's.  The group of 20 guests are walked through the restaurant to a private entrance into the special room used for the 360 Experience.  I agree it is a wonderful experience.

It is day 75 for us so I can print out our luggage tags.  I was NOT successful at printing the tags from my phone as it still shows our old June Alaska cruise information.  I WAS successful at printing out the correct information when using my desktop.

Thanks for this info, very helpful.

The same thing happened to me.  When I went in to the app and saw the Print Luggage Tag feature on my upcoming January cruise I clicked on it thinking I could print out the tags now.  However, my tags were for this past June's Alaska cruise.  Fortunately, my 75 day opening window for printing out luggage tags is tomorrow so I guess I will just wait and see what appears on the app.  If it is still messed up, I will print out the tags from my desktop.

Please come back and let us know what happens tomorrow.  That would be very helpful.  Thanks

just check it is the correct travel summary on the app !!   The app shows the travel summary and luggage tag  for my cruise on the Diamond in July this year under my booking on the Royal in January next year,  All other details are correct and the travel summary is correct on the cruise personaliser.   Not worth trying to understand  why/ how.

Exactly same for us.  Surprised to see Print Luggage Tags but when I tried, the luggage tags that printed were for our Alaska cruise last August.  Oh well, we will just wait and hope that Princess IT eventually fixes it.

Bob since you mentioned tips I will ask you.

The last cruise we were on we had a full suite.Rarely do we cruise in full suites. We enjoyed Sabatinis every morning for breakfast.

The staff working were incredible ladies all from the Ukraine. The last day before the cruise ended and final breakfast at Sabatinis, we tipped all of the ladies the same amount , no matter what their duties were. They all seemed surprised that we tipped them ( and we were generous). What really shocked me was that morning the restaurant was pretty empty. The regulars that we saw every morning never showed up. For the incredible service and this being Suite guests, I was surprised.I know extra tipping is optional but these ladies really made our cruise. Enjoyed the wonderful start of the day with them.  We were made to feel special. It was a 19 day cruise.

Bob what is done usually regarding tipping here. I know you mostly enjoy the Suite Life.

I won't pretend to speak for Bob, but we also cruise in suites and love Sabatinis breakfast.  We always have wonderful service from very friendly yet professional staff.  We always tip either last day or next to last day but we have noticed we may be in the majority.  Very sad.

We're scheduled to sail out of Berth 93 next Saturday on the Discovery Princess, and its probably 5 years since we last sailed from SP . Do Princess still have the dedicated Platinum, Elite and Suites "lounge" area set aside for priority passengers, and do they currently do the light coffee and munchies set up like they do at Port Everglades?  We are very early arrivers, among the first to check-in then sitting around until boarding starts. What time does boarding typically start at SP these days, given the stated 3PM sailaway time. At PE, on our last few trips, we've started boarding as early as 10:30AM.

Yes, they do have the PES Lounge, with coffee, juices and pastries.  We prefer not to deal with the crowds however and so we wait until noon or so and then we can walk straight on, no waiting, no crowds.  Everyone has their preferences though.  Have Fun!

Good to know. We are in our first suite Dec 24. We haven’t cruised Princess since 2018. I downloaded the medallion app but it says dining reservations aren’t open yet. I’ll keep checking. We’ve done

Our next cruise is next April but is allowing me to make reservations now.  We are in a suite and typically have the 1st night dinner at Bistro Sur La Mer but since it is being changed to The Catch I am waiting until the change actually happens before I make reservations.

The page I was taken to when I clicked on "sign up" showed having to pay for a one, two, three, or lifetime membership. Oh, then instead of clicking on the photo icon on the deck plan, I found the box with "Looking for actual photos" and they all showed up there. Weird.

Huh - go figure.  I have been viewing the member site for many, many years and never asked to pay a fee.  Well, glad you were able to get to the pics.
