  1. Welcome to Royal Caribbean's Dynamic Pricing.

By the way, are you sure you are comparing both prices with or without gratuities, i.e., apples to apples?

Yes, both were compared without gratutities. I have been keeping my eye on it for awhile seeing if it would go greater than a 20% discount.

  2. We are Canadians and have self disembarked in Ft. lauderdale (holland america) and in Baltimore ( Carnival). However last year we sailed on the Brilliance out of Baltimore and even though we had to present our passports to US custom officials who came on the ship a few days prior to returning to Boston, we were not allowed to self disembark.

We are sailing from Cape Liberty in January on the Anthem and were wondering, based on others experiences, if we would be able to self disembark there?

    Thanks in advance.

We are Canadians and self disembarked the Anthem in February of this year.

  3. Just got charged $12.36 for mini frig water post cruise, first time for us. We drank our D+ water but never touched the two larger water bottles. Made the call for cc reimbursement and emailed the CEO with our story and the link to this thread. I can't believe this issue is still on going.

Same. We actually never even had larger water bottles in our cabin. Just our 4 small emerald bottles. We also had the drink package which includes bottled water we could get anytime. I am very frustrated about this extra charge added after disembarkation that I now need to sort out once we get home since we are still travelling. Grrrrrrr....

  4. Another little sea pass snag we didn't discover until later was that for some reason, my husband was linked to Crown and Anchor (lowly gold status, but still, you guys) and mine was not. This is ironic because I am the one who has to cajole, coerce, and convince him every time to go on a cruise. I'm the one selling for you, RCCL, and you give HIM the credit? Come on! He's one of those weirdos who would prefer backpacking in a National Park somewhere, eating stew out of a can while sitting in the cold rain and harping on about nature and sunsets and fresh air. (He tried to ruin our entire cruise by reminding us that next spring break, we'll be in Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, where I'm pretty sure there are no drink waiters, hot tubs, or Kate Spade shops.) I know, I know. My second husband will most definitely be less outdoorsy and more of a cruise lover. And independently wealthy. And will resemble David Beckham, but will be lazier and not as thin as David Beckham, because what girl wants a husband with a lower BMI than she has? And...wait, where was I????

I have had the same issue when booking cruises and changing cruises. When I complained to the RCCL customer service agent she told me that their system was sexist and always put the male as the primary person. Ridiculous since I had cruised tons before I met my husband and I was the once who had attained the status!

  5. Can someone explain how it works when we have to change staterooms between cruises. I understand we will have to get off the ship to clear customs and then are able to get right back on. However if we are changing rooms do we have to wait until 1 o'clock to get into our new room? How is our luggage transferred to our new room? Any insight you can provide on this is appreciated. Thank you.

  6. I don't mind waiting as long as there's a bar nearby. Where is the nearest bar and do they have a pager like system, or do we have to keep checking-in? There will just be the two of us, my lovely girlfriend and me.

There is a bar just inside of the MTD restaurant where we had drinks many a night with our favourite bartender while waiting for our table which was never a long wait.
