I was in an obstructed view cabin once on a Sydney to Auckland trip. It was shockingly small; even the bathroom was smaller than the normal cabins. In addition to the lifeboat outside the window, they seem to need to light up the lifeboats, and the light made it through the alleged room darkening curtains.. They had to cover my window up with cardboard at night. In addition, there was a lot of noise generated from the lifeboat - possibly wind making it move about. A day after disembarkation I flew to Sydney and was on a Seabourn cruise from Sydney to Bali. My bathroom on Seabourn was larger than my cabin on Azamara. It took me several years to return to Azamara.

I think your TA could request some extra OBC or some other compensatory good will gesture. I am fairly sure that is what has happened to me in similar situations. (which seem to happen quite frequently)

I remember when Sycamore purchased Azamara this board expressed hope that these bogus sales would come to an end. I am surprised to be reading of the same old tactics.

Gotcha, Phil. I was going from the port.

I used Welcome Pickups 3 x on my recent trip and have only good things to say about them. I do believe OP was quoted a less expensive price than Welcome Pickups. Regardless, it is definitely a good idea to have a pickup. When I was in Athens airport a couple of weeks ago there was a very long line for cabs.

Thanks all who replied. I did send an e-mail to the azamara upgrade .com address and have not received a reply. I did clear my cache. My cruise is on June 29.

Anyone have advice for this issue? My TA, and her agency's manager have contacted Azamara, and Azamara "managment" say that I am eligible for an upgrade, according to all of the parameters of the program. They say to get this by going to the upgrade form and filling it out. I have done this at least 50 times, and repeatedly get a note saying I'm not available at this time. Anyone have similar problems or know how to trouble shoot? I am on a B2B and upgrades on the following cruise are readily available although it has more booked cabins than the one that I am trying to upgrade, which has literally dozens of cabins available. Thanks for any help!

I had a great haircut and blow dry when on board Quest in December. (I have long hair) Believe the cost was around $90 and because I'm discoverer the gratuity was a wash with my discount. no pun intended.

I received an upgrade offer for a July 10 cruise in on April 2. For some reason, I don't seem to be eligible for an upgrade on June 29 cruise despite it appearing that there are dozens of empty cabins.

I hope they also offer some compensation to the crew!

Is there a well illustrated deck plan available? I was unable to find one a few months ago. If so, would someone please post a link? thanks!

I just applied for mine. Citibank wanted verification that I had made the transaction, so I had to go through the payment process twice. Otherwise, no uissues. Thanks for the nudge.

2 hours ago, Dr H said:
As a physician, I carry my own stash of meds. I've seen people unable to get a tylenol/paracetamol on board, much less an antiviral!
I was going to ask my Dr. for a dose just in case for upcoming month long of travel on Azamara and in Greece. Do you think he can swing it?

I'm very interested in a video visit to the new bar venue in the former library.

Thanks, Leo on Geo - Yes I have. Neither that nor another chunk of obc promised to me after a very large price reduction have appeared on my account. I also noted after writing them a note in the comment link, that my submission was acknowledged. I just think it's odd not to have confirmatio
n of submission of the back to back request.

It used to be that my TA would take care of back to back discounts. Now it seems the protocol is to submit a form provided by Azamara. (here is the link - https://www.azamara.com/plan/back-to-back-voyages). I submitted this 2-3 weeks ago and have heard zero response. I do not know if I should assume that it has been lost, that they are still "thinking" about it or what to make of the non-response. Has anyone else used this form? Did you hear back after doing so? Any guidance greatly appreciated. In 10 years of Azamara cruising, I've not phoned them as between this board and Azamara communications, I've felt responses and answers were forthcoming.

I'm curious if this post is about the thelasotherapy pool and area, or the locker room/ steam sauna area which has always been open to everyone. Can someone please confirm. Thanks.

I also wrote several e-mails to Azamara, last month. Not one of them was replied to. I did ultimately get the information I was seeking, through this site, and then eventually, slowly, through other websites with cruise info, and finally Azamara's website. It's disappointing. I was hoping there would be improvements with Azamara's land support services with the takeover by Sycamore.

Has anyone received the itinerary for the June 27 sailing yet? Athens to Athens? Please post if you have. None of these changes are on the Azamara website yet. Thanks!

wow, I am very surprised they are entering the black sea. thank you so much for sharing! thoughts?

2 other cruise lines - Oceania and Silver Sea- have released their updated itineraries. As expected they are half Greek and half Turkish ports. I'm guessing many have already been to these ports but perhaps just being on a ship will suffice to keep people on board. At least one of those ships has offered 1K OBC and some FFC for the itinerary change.

I was hoping to get this communication 2 weeks ago, before I canceled after requesting (and being denied) a postponement of final payment.
Egypt Bucketlist?
in Azamara

Twice I took Azamara cruises that were meant to stop in Egyptian ports, but political unrest prevented us. In 2020 I was supposed to go to Egypt but on the day of my departure, New York was starting to shut down because of covid. I'm leaving tomorrow for Cairo. I think it's past the 3rd time is a charm point, but I rather wish I'd waited to go on this cruise, which seems like a lot less work than going on tour.
