Send your holiday wishes to the ship

Yep! Sent mine to one of the crew I knew would still be onboard. It will be interesting to see how long it takes until she receives it!

Who is current Star cruise director?

Just got off the Star on Sunday after 15 days. I thought Marcus was great. The entire cruise staff is very talented and very friendly. They put on a great and varied program of activities and entertainment throughout the cruise.

    Trouble logging on

I just tried as well and was unable to login.

Golden and Star moving to P&O Australia

I’m glad I’ll get to sail on the Star this October before she leaves the fleet!

    Dominique Vines Bar Caribbean Princess

I’ve been fortunate enough to cruise with Dominique twice! She is amazing and of course she remembered me (and my parents). I’m glad to hear she has been promoted to bar tender. She definitely deserves it. Both times I provided comment cards and mentioned her by name in the post cruise survey. She really is the consummate host.
  6. I found a Patter from my last cruise (Caribbean Princess) on May 28, 2018 and they had 3 showtimes for the production show Bravo. 6:30pm, 8:15pm and 9:30pm. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  7. I haven’t been on the Royal, but I have been on sister ship Regal and other Princess ships where the main production shows were shown 3 times in one evening. I’ve never been to the earliest showing, but I’d say the “middle” show is the most popular and the late show may not be quite as crowded.
  8. I’m doing this itinerary in October and I can’t wait! Love the sea days and it’s nice to have the ports in the middle. I still work so 15 days is about the max I can do at one time.

Are Zumba and Yoga classes on the ships free?

Zumba is always free and listed in the Patter; there are classes offered in the fitness center that usually aren’t listed in the Patter. Some of them are free but most have a nominal fee. Those classes are listed in a separate schedule available in the fitness center. A couple of the free ones I can recall were “Fab Abs” and “Morning Stretch”.

Beverage Package and Platinum/Elite Cocktail Hour

Yes, I’ve had the beverage package my last 3 cruises and was always able to have my drinks at the PES lounge “included” in the package. Enjoy and have a Boulevardier for me!
  11. Can’t wait to try some of these. I’m hoping they’ll be rolled out by my Star Princess cruise in October!

    Leaving Captain's Circle

Princess may have done this to be compliant with the GDPR (General Data Privacy Regulation). The GDPR requires that individuals are given the opportunity to opt in or opt out. Companies can no longer automatically add customers to their database without the customers permission. (At least, that is how I understand it).
  13. Looks incredible - I love the updated and modern style!

    Zumba on the Regal

On my Caribbean cruise it was also held on the basketball/volleyball court on the sports deck usually around 9 or 10am. I’ve seen pictures and videos where they also hold it in the Piazza or on top of the fountains in the main pool area.

Are You Seeing Any Tuxes on Formal Night @ the MDR?

I still wear a tux! I get to dress casual at work, so I enjoy dressing up on formal nights. I’ve never worn my tux “on land”.
