  1. Hi,

Soooo excited for these ports. Definately wanted to snorkel at least once. Was wondering best place to go.

Also any particular tours that are awesome would be appreciated:D

    Thanks

    Kerri

The best "snorkeling" is Cozumel. Do a snorkel excursion to the Columbia or Palancar reef and you will not regret it.

In Belize there are a few good snorkel places but the reef is deeper and is one of the best places in the world for a "diver". Places like Caulker Cay are decent snorkeling spots.

Costa Maya isn't that great for snorkeling.

    Take care,

    Mike

  2. No sweet tea on any ship, on any cruise line, that I've sailed.

I was a "Damn Yankee" and lived in Atlanta and Birmingham for a number of years. Yankees come to visit and "Damn Yankees" stay. Or at least that's what I was told. :D

I could never handle the sweet tea. I could feel my teeth rotting with each sip. I would always ask for unsweetened and while most places had it they looked at me like I was a bit strange.

    Take care,

    Mike

  3. The best thing to give in addition to cash is: More Cash.

Phone cards are not a great idea. I've spoken to a number of crew and they do not like phone cards and many of them are thrown in the trash. People will give phone cards that are not international cards or they do not provide the recipient the access numbers to make calls.

The crew cabins are small and they have no use or room for the vast majority of gifts.

Of course they will graciously accept these gifts and give the giver a good feeling but don't be surprised if the hand knit scarf or other "little gift" ends up in the trash.

Money is greatly and genuinely appreciated.

    Take care,

    Mike

  4. For those who love Moderno...

News is that NCL will be rolling this restaurant out to the rest of the fleet in the future. Speculation is that it will take the place of the Tex-Mex restaurants.

Additionally, another dining option is about to be released. For those who love Moderno's salad bar...it will soon be available as a dining option all on its own.

I sure hope this is true. The Tex-Mex and Tapas restaurants have been the low dining point of my previous cruises.

    Take care,

    Mike
