Go to ncl.com and there is a Shore Excursions tab. Click on Rome and all the shore excursions are listed along with the prices. Do not sign into your account so as not to confuse the website. I was on the Escape in April and May, 2024, and decided to walk around Civitavecchia instead of going in to Rome since I also have been there many times. I agree with other comments, much easier to have that tour pick you up at the ship instead of making your way to the train station, especially since you have been there many times also and just want to have a leisurely trip to and from Rome.

I have never bid, but my understanding is that once you bid it either accepts or rejects your bid. You do not have the choice to reject the bid if it is accepted by the system. Not sure if this is accurate and hopefully those in the know will comment on this. Only reason I'm writing this is because in your post of a few minutes ago, you stated you would "...post what we decide in a few months, if anything."

Glad you enjoyed the cabin. It was so close to everything. I'm wondering, was the "recliner chair/sofa" still in the cabin? I guess it's the sleeping bed for a third person. When I got the room it had a chair and I wanted something akin to a sofa so asked for one, and they graciously brought it. Was it still there?

What cruise are you on in October? I'm on the Star Oct 13 and 23, B2B. I'm also solo. Nevermind. Just saw your other post -- different cruises.

I was in 11112 and loved it. Convenient to everything and didn't experience any noise. Of course, I sleep through anything.
