  1. Sorry in advance but would like to ask this question without doing a lengthy search on here.

Thinking about booking a cruise as our first Azamara cruise. 17 days Onward.  Which level of cabin should we book?

Regular Veranda?  Club Continent Suite or Spa Suite?

I've been somewhat following this thread, and just wanted to note that in my cruise ticket package for a sailing on Meraviglia out of Port Canaveral, February 27, 2022, the health questionnaire does ask if you have received a COVID-19 vaccine within the last 6 months, even if you only got the first dose.

This is an especially interesting placement for the question on the form - every question above this one, presumably the correct answer to board the ship is "No".

In my case, I received a (third, booster) dose in late December 2021, so I'll be answering "Yes" to the question as it's written, and hopefully there are no issues at the port.

I'm wondering whether this is a generic international form for the scenarios described above  - because everything else written from MSC at the moment only requires two mRNA doses or one J&J dose.

That question is not on our form.

For those interested,  I just ordered a 25th anniversary on the Edge (just now) and yes they had Grey Goose VX.  I was surprised, but they have it in a cabinet behind the martini bar.    Unsure what the extra cost was or was supposed to be but they did not charge me for it.   It’s a busy bar (would be my guess).   These guys work their butts off and they are extremely attentive!

On the Apex this Saturday hoping they still have VX in the store.  I have noticed the bottles online the asking price is $400 to $600 a bottle if you can find one.  The two bottles I found on the Independence where $80 each.

It was still grey goose vodka. Delicious cocktail but now $16

They should have included it in the PBP since its drinks up to $15.  Its more paper work for the bartender

The guys at the Martini Bar got me hooked on the VX several years ago they never charged me extra for it.  As soon as I arrived at the bar they would set a bottle of VX in front of me with a glass of ice and a glass of olives.  They made me make my own drinks all evening. This happened on several cruises and on different ships.   Was on the Independence Of the Seas this last November they still had 2 bottles of VX in the store that I bought.

  5. I mentioned getting the Loyalty Discount.  It might have been done my mistake.  When I read the fine print I shouldn't have received it but what the heck.

Dunno but we have 5 cruises booked and the new sale would raise prices by between $400 and $1600 for us cause our deals are good.

But you can still get the Captains Club promotion applied.

I have a cruise booked for Aug 2021 and the prices have skyrocketed since I booked it in January.

But you can still get the captains club promotion applied if you call right now.  On this 7 day cruise the Loyalty Savings was $221 per person total $442.

  8. Noticed that the Cruise Fare for a Jan, 9 2021 sailing that I had booked a long time ago was substantially lower.  Called to get the lower fare and inquired about the Captains Club promotion going on now.  The rep gave me both the reduced fare and the captains club promotion keeping all 4 of my perks and OBC.  Sent me a new invoice showing my balance reduced by $1262.00  I called at exactly 8 am and was on hold about 10 minutes.

  9. Tell me everything you liked about it and the things you didn't.  But please I know that there will be people say not worth the money you are not in your cabin only to sleep.  I am not asking if it is worth it. Already have out first one booked for April 2021  Amsterdam to Basel.  Suite 340 is that the correct side for this cruise does it matter which side you are on?

We get the Spirits Package and Air Plus included anything else worth mentioning?  Thanks

Filed the dispute yesterday  morning around 7:30`am , and the $500 deposit refund was credited to our account by eary a.m today. It was one lump sum rather than in the 3 sep amts X  indicated.

Already called the auto system to  request a check for my credit balance which they indicate should arrive in 7 to 10 days.   ( We are still waiting on the other check from BOA.) We will also expect an eventual adjustment to our BOA cruise points down the line

Wondering if this is another coincidence or we are jumping the gun . We call and the credit comes through next day? But  It was at the 30 day mark from the cancellation date.

Also  received part of our LA fitness refund for auto  biling us  while Clubs are closed!

Would rather be enjoying all these things instead of chasing refunds.,.but  sadly that's not possible right now.

When you dispute a charge the Card Company does immediatly credit your account.  But unless the dispute is settled it will automatically be charged again.

  11. My final payment I had negotiated when I booked was 5 months out.  When I transferred it to a TA the agency moved the payment up 2 weeks not a big deal.  Recently I have tried to get the final payment pushed back a month or so no luck.  Tried again a couples days ago and got it pushed back 2 weeks.  So May 20th now.  Not a big deal but it felt like a win on my part.  So my TA will probably want it Mid May but I will hold out as long as possible.

  12. Have not cancelled the Cruise yet.  But did cancel some optional excursions and pre paid gratuities just to get a head start in case we do cancel the entire cruise.  They said 21 days for refund.  Yesterday was 22 days so I called.  They then said it is 21 Business days.  They applied the refund to my balance but said I would still get it back on my Credit Card in the 21 Business Days.  We will see.

  13. Just sign you doctors name or put any signature on it.    Here you go.  The people that are worried about this one are the ones who when asked for the email by everyone in the world they give them their real email or real phone number.  Just google search doctor signature there are 100's to choose from.  You think they will call the office and if they do they will really get someone to answer the phone in the office.

I reread the OP's comment and he says "it's not Celebrity" so you are once again correct. Why would the OP post on the Celebrity board?

Because I like the people on here have cruised with some of them and it is not a cruise line question it is a financial question. 'really doesnt matter who the cruise line or the world problem it is simply what would you do right now or in the next month.

I know you can't answer this question without violating the posting rules, but what TA wants final payment 6 months out? Now Crystal gives a discount if you pay in full 9 months out as an option. I'd look into other deals with other TAs if you decide to cancel.

Not a TA  it is Viking which when I originally booked they wanted full payment a year out. Negotiated it down to 6 months back then. And if we did re book I probably would drop down a cabin or two.

  16. Let me start by saying this is not a Celebrity Cruise but we are avid Celebrity cruisers and can always find good information on here.

My advice is needed for an upcoming final payment due date for a cruise.  The final payment is due 6 months out.  I have asked the company if they would push the date back from April 19th to something in July they said no.  The company if offering a full refund in future cruise credit if canceled at least 24 hours before the start of the trip.

But with that being said we are talking a $22,000 dollar trip.  As of right now I have a $1000 deposit down if I cancel before the final payment I would get back 800 cash and then the 200 in a future cruise credit I think.  With only knowing what you know right now or even next month what would you do?  Cancel now OR  Pay the final payment $21000.00  Which you can still cancel 120 days out and only loose the $200.

Why fight it? Just save the money and have  two great cruises! And with the right travel agent you should end up with more obc than if booked as a single cruise.

No fight just making folks aware they can save money by book separate cruises.
