Here'a 21 minute YouTube video that was posted 2 weeks ago. It's not in English but you can things for yourself. Looks pretty good to me. We'll be on the Spirit in November and looking forward to it!!

We don't get that channel. Too bad. Would have loved to see it. We are on Breakaway in March and it will be our first NCL.

We were directly below the Garden Cafe the week before Christmas last year. We never heard anything and it was a sold out cruise.

We've parked there several times and never a had problem. Also, if you pre-pay and type "fall" in the discount code box, you'll get $10 off.

We also used SAS this past April from Miami. We flew into Miami and back from FLL. We just did the one way to FLL after the cruise. It was $15 PP and the service was excellent. We will use them again in Nov.

On my Western Caribbean trip on the Pearl in April, we kept ship's time the entire week. I never had to change the time on my watch, and we were repeatedly reminded not to go by the time on our phones.

 

Just like luvcruzing, we were on the Pearl in April and stayed on ship time all cruise. I think it might've been because there were 2 time changes during the cruise. We were in Cozumel with the Jewel and were on 2 different times. At Salsa and Salsa there, they made 2 different time announcements referring to each ship. So cruise vendors were in the loop.

We did some strategic planning...We're doing an 11 day trip on the Jade. We booked a suite, 11 months out, and it was a Latitudes special. Grand total: 44 points

We were on that cruise and witnessed the medevac on that video. It was fascinating to watch the precision of the operation. Also comforting to know the brave professionals of the USCG are there in a time of need.

My wife and I did Salsa and Salsa and had a blast. It's held at the Hotel Cozumel and Resort about 10 minutes from the pier. It's a pretty entertaining show where you make two kinds of margaritas and six types of salsa. There are also waiters walking around with pitchers of frozen margaritas to make sure your glass is always full. There's also a non-alcoholic option if you'd like. The 2 "dancing chefs" that run the show are fantastic. When it's over, you can stay at the resort and use the pool or snorkel on the beach. We were the only ones that stayed and my wife snorkeled. We didn't go to the pool so I'm not sure how it is. We were the only ones from our group that stayed so they paid for our cab back to the ship.

What does the small print say about "category"? If it means (for example) from a lower level balcony to a higher level balcony.... well....

 

It looks like 10,000 will get you an upgrade within a room type, such as a balcony to a midship balcony.

On my 4/4 Pearl cruise, we never adjusted the ship's time, and they repeatedly reminded passengers to please take along a watch in port and not to rely on their cell phone clocks.

 

We were on the same cruise. We stayed on ship time at all ports. It might have been because the ship was on Eastern time, and our ports were in two other time zones. We bumped into people on the Jewel who were on local time.

We used SAS about a month ago for our trip from Port of Miami to FLL. We made our reservation on line about 6 weeks before the cruise. They e-mailed us a couple of days later with instructions for our return. The whole process went pretty smoothly.

I'll normally give a merchant and opportunity to credit my account when they cause an issue. When they seem to have no interest in correcting the problem, I do a chargeback on my credit card.

We saw Tim last year on the Dawn. He was so funny and a real class guy. We were hoping he was going to be on the Pearl when we cruised a couple of weeks ago.

We had been planning on the Canary Islands and Casablanca cruise on the Spirit. It looks like the Epic is stopping in Tangier instead of Casablanca. We're hoping the Spirit comes back to the Med for that reason.

It was fun having everyone come through!!

Jade sails the Med year round. But to answer your question; the 2016 itinerary most likely won't be out till the fall of this year.

 

The Jade is moving to Houston in November 2015.

With discussion here and on other threads about the murdered crew member in Roatan, has anyone seen anything about passengers on that fateful cruise? Were they told about what happened or did the word spread via the rumor mill? If information was given, was there a collection taken for the victims family? Just curious about reactions on board.

 

We were on the cruise. An announcement was made by the captain while we were still in port. He also made an announcement when there was an arrest a few days later. It was such a heartbreaking event, especially for his co-workers and friends. You could see they worked the rest of the cruise with heavy hearts. I didn't see or hear of any official collection for him, but we gave a donation to our concierge to forward.

We were on the April 4th cruise as well and met the a bunch of you during your cabin crawl. We were in 10166 and you were touring next door in 10168. We're happy we invited you in.

I haven't sailed on any of the ships, but noticed the portside of the Majesty looked like a rust bucket, when I was parasailing in Key West last week. I was very surprised.

My wife and I were on the Pearl when the crew member was murdered. We were in the general area about an hour before it happened. We're sure no "Chicken Littles" but we started to feel very uncomfortable with more than a few eyes on us, and headed back to the ship. That's when the captain made the terrible announcement. Also, there was zero police presence outside the port walls. We totally support NCL's decision.
