  1. As I stated it's far more than alcohol, (see the list, but maybe you don't drink anything). How do you know if you can get better food elsewhere, or if you can get the same services if you've never been?

The level of service from the concierge is far superior to what we have experienced from a butler in a Sky Suite.

    Happy sailing,

    Jenna

    1. I have been

    2. Others negative comments, in this thread, about the food.

    Thanks

    What is Michael’s Club?

Michael’s Club is available exclusively to guests staying in Celebrity, Signature, Royal, Penthouse and Reflection suites – as well Zenith members

of our Captains Club loyalty program. Dedicated Concierge service and food and beverage experiences by a James Beard featured chef will be

    exclusively provided to these guests.

The food is good, but I wouldn't say special. The drinks are all made to order and they'll make whatever you want, much different than the pre-made drinks on a specific list at the evening elite cocktail reception. If you stop by on your way in from an excursion and want a quite place to site, no problem! An ice tea or cappuccino from Cafe Al Bacio? Of course! Glass of wine? Soda? Bite to eat? Special last minute dinner request? Button sewn on your trousers, dress pressed? cleaned? No problem. But this is only part of what Michael's Club provides. The rest is simply a higher level of service and accommodation for requests which help to make a vacation special.

    Happy sailing,

    Jenna

Thanks, Like I said, we don't drink, and can get better food elsewhere. The other services are available form the butlers. But, I understand that some people like it.

  3. Captain's Club levels do not include access to Luminae or Michael's Club - only traveling in a suite provides access based on suite category.

Exception being, Zenith's do get Michael's Club access.

    • All suites get Luminae
    • Celebrity Suites add access to Michael's
    • Royal Suites add unlimited booze internet and dining

Well we have been in it, and did not care for it. The food is better elsewhere, and plus we do not drink alcohol.

  4. Since Luminae is smart casual every night, this is what I am going with:

    Smart Casual and Above

Ladies: Skirt or pants/trousers (no holes, rips or tears) complemented by sweater or blouse.

Gentlemen: Pant/trousers (no holes, rips or tears) with collared sports shirt or sweater. Shirts must have sleeves.

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip flops are not allowed in the evening hours. As a courtesy to our guests, we respectfully require and enforce compliance with dress code at the entrance of your restaurant of choice. Additionally, guests are asked to follow the 'Smart Casual and Above: dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances.

    Thanks everyone!

  5. OMG! Thanks for telling me how the forum works. I just posted my opinion on how the forum works, too. So, what do you really want people to say on how you should dress?

Thanks for your help, and best wishes. Bon Voyage!

  6. What else can be said? Go to Sticky.

Whatever...If you don't want to participate in the discussion, don't click on the link. That's how the the message board works, in case anyone is not aware.

The love and concern on these boards is just so overwhelming. Geez. This is why I have been a member for 11 years and have only 214 posts.

  7. I agree with you. We usually cruise with Celebrity in Europe. Our experience in the MDR has been really positive during formal nights, with most people following the rules. I don't see Luminae as a specialty restaurant, to me is a dining room. Hope dress code suggestions are followed.

On the Celebrity Website, it specifically states that it is Smart casual, I was just curious as to what everyone else does. Luminae is for suite guests and is not the MDR.
