  1. Where are you sailing out of? I'm not sure how it works in every port, but out of New York City you can't purchase the package until the ship is in international waters so you buy drinks individually and then when you purchase cheers once the ships in int waters your S+S account get credited back for the early drinks and they count towards your 15. Not sure how it would work in ports that sell cheers from the beginning, but thinking you might have found another way around the 15 drink limit for day 1 lol.

    We are sailing from Miami.

  2. We want to purchase cheers. We want to wait till our entire party is onboard before we go to the location to do so. My cabin mate and I have faster to the fun. The others do not. Say I have 2 drinks before we go to buy the package. Will I be refunded the money for the two drinks and then have them count toward my 15 or will I start fresh at that point?

  3. I think carnival may have banned the over the door orginizers.

    Nope still allowed

Over-the-door shoe holders, long used in cabins by cruisers to organize everything from toiletries to jewelry, can still be used aboard Carnival Cruise Line ships -- but with stipulations. Line representative Vance Gulliksen says, "they may only be used if they are a fire retardant material and do not damage the door," adding that they must also be hung on the inside of the cabin, rather than facing out into the hallway.

  4. I know I have seen it before but someone traveling with someone in our group cant go. We sail in 3 days. She will be a no show. Will this have any effect on the other person in the cabin with the no show? They both booked on their own credit cards. Will the person who is going have any issues with printing boarding passes?

  5. We had hardly any charges after cheers and tips. Think I bought one picture and maybe a Christmas ornament in the store.

Better to get cheers, then you can get what you want when you want , we had booze in the room once it's a real drag having to go all the way back to the cabin when you want a drink

I agree with this. Unless you use the spa or buy lots of pictures you wont have much else on your tab. But if you play bingo or gamble then you may have more. I am getting cheers this trip. Last trip I spent a small fortune on booze and this time I want to know exactly what I am spending.

  6. Victory does not have American Table, they are still using the "old" menus. That is as of this week. If you check John Heald's Facebook page, he is on the Victory this week and there have been several clues that show this.

    Also, as per Carnival's FAQ's:

This new complimentary dinner concept is currently being tested on the following ships: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Glory, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Magic, Carnival Pride and Carnival Triumph. Please note: This experience may vary slightly among these ships.

Are you tasting the salt air yet? I am so excited. I hope to see you guys next week.

  7. If there is an emergency they can call 888-carnival and Carnival will contact the ship for them. Be sure to leave your booking number, the ship's name, date of the cruise and your full names as booked with close relatives and/or friends.

thank you kindly. I appreciate this.

  8. I have searched Carnival's website and am unable to find out how someone could reach me in the event of a true emergency! Can anyone point me to this information? I am sailing on the Victory next week and leaving kids at home and want to provide information for my husband who will be staying with the kids.

  9. We booked YVE in Miami for our stay next week off expedia. It was 169 a night before taxes. Its high season down there. But I can let you know how it is next week. There is also a forum for Florida Departures you can post this in. I posted a similar question and got some good answers there myself.
