Has anyone done the Chef's Table on Independence of the Seas? Where do they have it on the ship? Anything else you could tell me would be appreciated. I've done it on the Oasis, where it was done on the upper level of the Concierge Lounge and on the Harmony where they held it in a partitioned room off of the Solarium Bistro. While the location on the Oasis made for a very nice evening where you could hear what the Chef's was saying, the Harmony of the Seas experience was much different. It was loud and not everyone could hear the Chef. I've signed up on the Independence but don't know where they do it. Thanks in advance!!

Just returned from Constellation. We had 2 Sweet Sixteen rooms i.e. 6031 and 6033. They are in the cheapest category of balcony cabins and were fantastic. The balconies are enormous, with both shaded and open areas.
Very happy with our choice :D
So happy to hear this as we have 3 of them booked together on the 9/18/18 sailing!! Do the balcony separations open up to connect them?

The Sweet Sixteen cabins have larger balconies. But they are standard size cabins and are very far forward. If you want a combination of larger balcony and larger cabin, book one of the four C1s on deck 6 back in suiteland.
Thanks! What cabins are those?

I read somewhere on these boards about certain deck 6 balcony cabins that have larger balconies than the rest. I've done a search on this but can't seem to find it. Can anyone give me more information on these cabins? Thanks in advance!!

Last night was the second Chic night. Many people attended the Dining Beneath the Stars. We heard the winds came up and many left early.
We ate again in Luminea. Marteo has been serving us for the entire cruise, and is one of the best we have had. The asst waiter has been a delight and very attentive.
I know that food and tastes are subjective but we have been very pleased and everything has been cooked to our tastes.
I guess our only complaint as a frequent traveler is the menus get to be a bit repetitive. It would be nice to see it changed occasionally.

Thank you for your live report from the Constellation! I will be on the September 18th sailing and am new to Celebrity. Can you please explain what a Chic Night is? Thanks!!

I guess we will all find out if we are going on our Cuba cruise or not this Friday when Trump comes to Miami to announce his Cuban policies! Ugggghh [emoji849]

For anyone who has been on the Sky to Cuba - was your daily service charge $21.99/person? I've booked for November, and that's the price shown. Wondering why it's so much higher than the per day charge on other sailings. We are (yay!) in a suite.
I think it's because you're in a suite. Service charge is definitely more in a suite.

I am curious about the timeline for the Miami to Havana leg of this cruise. It's only about 90 miles from Miami to Havana, so I'm wondering if the ship takes a very indirect course to prolong the underway time, heads straight for Havana and waits off the Cuban coast till morning, or if the ship goes straight to the port of Havana and spends the first night at the dock.
It's 90 miles from Key West.

For those who have done this, do you remember how many they took at one time? And thanks for the info

Is there an Escape Room on the Harmony of the Seas? I thought I read it here somewhere but now I can't find it and tried a search but couldn't find any information.

If you plan to bring anything for your family, be prepared to get hassled, both by the ship and Cuban customs. The ship made us go to the guest desk to verify that someone in our party was Cuban born, otherwise you can't bring much off the ship. After that, Cuban customs held us up for about an hour thumbing through everything and just being generally difficult. The customs officer was friendly but his boss was making him check everything against a little manual of what you can bring it. It's also a valuation of $50 per person; he helped us fill out the form properly so that we didn't have anything seized from us.
Thanks for the heads up!! Enjoy the rest of your cruise!!

I'm on the current Sky sailing reading this thread as Great Stirrup Cay was cancelled. The Cuban government seems to be doing a great job of fooling tourists into thinking Cuba has turned some corner in its government. Our tour guide was very sanitized as they all are, since the vast majority of them and taxi drivers work for a function of the government. My dad finally got one of them to admit that the pretty area near the port was where the firing squads killed thousands after the revolution. We were lucky enough to drive outside of the tourist area to get a glimpse of the real Cuba - people waiting in lines for bread, typical incomes of $24 US a month. We visited our family who weren't lucky enough to leave when everyone else did - it was a wonderful experience. It will be very interesting to see how or if Cuba continues to change as tourism continues to grow. I also have to chuckle a bit at how many passengers are sporting hats with the red star of communism on them (they're for sale everywhere).
We've had a great cruise so far and it's a great way to visit Cuba without having to worry much about the infrastructure since you can just return to the boat at any time.
We, too, will be visiting family in Havana while there and I'm sure we will see that same side you saw. I'm sure it will be especially difficult and emotional for my mom to see this but she is eager to go!!

We just booked Blexie for December. There are 8 in our group and he is using a "modern" van ( hope that means it has a/c). Do you mind sharing the list of places you told him you wanted to see?

We saw mid sized vans, Mercedes-Benz vans, if I recall. Not sure how one would go to get one of these, or the costs.

Thank you much for taking the time to write this review and answer questions. We are doing this cruise in December and always like to do our own excursions. We will be a group of 7, so my question is, did you see any vans doing tours or were they all either in the old cars or large tour buses?

Hi
I just read the NCL Sky will offer cruises to Cuba through Dec 2017. Anyone know when they will open booking past April?
And does anyone know what excursions are offered for Cuba cruises through NCL?
Thank you!
They are open for reservations beginning 2/21

Where is everyone at the sky bar??

Do you remember who the entertainers were in the Schooner and in the pub??

Looks like they are cruising on Anthem in 2016. If so, that cruise has not reached its final payment date yet.
No adjustments or refunds after final payment due date as set by the cruise line; but like others said, you can move up a category.
That's exactly what I thought!!
-
FYI my January cruise was paid in full and I noticed a price drop of $635.00 10 minute phone call and I was reimbursed. No issue at all. Call them what do you have to lose.
Just curious, was it paid in full prior to the final payment date or after?
Waitlisted for Celebrity Select dining-Edge

We were wait listed for Select as well prior to our cruise, I can tell you its not a big deal. You can go to any of the 4 main dining rooms whenever you want and request a table. No reservations were necessary and we waited maybe 2 minutes, if that. There are so many different dining options that I just don't think its ever an issue.
