I hear the Skagway Rail Union has voted to strike and the strike will begin in about 30 days. Wife and I are booked for an Alaskan cruise in early September. And of course, we booked this excursion through our cruise line Celebrity. If the excursion is cancelled due to the strike, does anyone have ideas on how Celebrity will handle it? First Mediterranean cruise embarking from Barcelona. We are using NCL's Free Air (2nd guest flies free). It makes since that NCL would book the cheapest seats available, but I'm noticing that this flight will be anywhere from ten to twelve hours (Dallas, TX to Barcelona, Spain). Does NCL allow guests to upgrade their seats to business or even first class (of course we are willing to pay the difference)? Thanks for any help. JGAbrams

My family has a few horses in Gainesville. Main ranch is in Liberty, TX. Yes, for all of the reasons you mentioned, is why I wanted the aft-facing cabin. We are on deck 10, aft facing. But that Sky Suite is really pretty, and the balcony is huge. Still, it doubled the price of the cruise.

Just booked Sept'23 Alaskan cruise for 30th anniversary. Really wanted an aft-facing cabin, but Sky Suite gave me sticker shock. Now I'm second guessing it. Do you have any thoughts? I'm reading that sailing Alaska in Sept, we should expect rain almost everyday. Does that mean I'll be wasting money on the bigger balcony? This will be our first trip to Alaska. Mr. & Mrs. Bubbles
