I'm curious as where you are off to next month?

We did Viking Homelands in 2016 and chose the included Rostock tour which was visiting a brewery for pretzels and beer, then into town for a city tour and back to the ship by ferry. It was a very nice day with perfect weather. We decided not to go to Berlin since it was supposed to be by bus. At the last minute they changed to a train. Had we known the change we might have gone to Berlin. We did however enjoy the day in Rostock, the brewery, the ferry ride and having free time to walk around Warnemunde. The Berlin trip takes up the entire day.

South America was horrible.. We cancelled our South America Crossing to Europe because of the horror stories of passengers taken off of the ship and being put into isolation in hostels for up to 16 days.. Viking had no control and had to surrender their passengers to the different countries. They were denied docking for provisions and fuel if they didn't comply. Chile was the worst.

I could definitely visualize you and Arlona posing together as a few of those statues, clothed of course! Glad to hear she is not terribly ill. Great painting! At least she has a few things to help pass the time while in quarantine. Sorry you can't experience your upcoming ports together!

I only drink decaf coffee and as of 2020, our last cruise, the answer is no to flavored. The decaf in the room and in the restaurant, World Cafe, etc. is really delicious. There is also a machine in the World Cafe that serves lattes, espresso, cappuccino which is ground before it comes out, also very good, it is also open when the World Cafe is closed. The binoculars in the room are very small and not very good at all. I have never heard of any restrictions taking them off of the ship. If you are interested in good binoculars, I would bring your own!
