  1. Did you watch that video that was posted above? It displays a vivid picture of the falls. We went there in November with Liberty Tours Jamaica and spent about 3 hrs there. We didn't want to leave. There are waterfalls, one large one that most pictures show, then smaller flowing ones that you can walk in and hike on with the guides. You can sit under the falls and feel the refreshment of the water on your shoulders and neck, in the pool of water. It really is amazing! So happy we found this paradise and Liberty Tours Jamaica to take us there!

Thank you for posting your experience at the falls and with Liberty Tours Jamaica. We will be visiting in late March and have booked this tour as well. Can you tell me if the water was colder than the beaches? I see some pictures with people wearing rash guards and I am wondering if it's because the water is cold. Thanks!

  2. Does anyone know how it works to reserve a cabana once on board? The website is showing to reserve "inquire onboard". I think this means they are sold out. Any trick to getting one once we board?

  3. Hi MsViola

Thank you for posting your experience in the Boardwalk balcony. We will be cruising in March and have 12729 last cabin aft. We are very excited about having our first boardwalk view and was wondering if you visited the "secret" balcony at the end of the hall on this deck and if it is still a "secret"?! Did the cabin have good storage space? How was the bathroom for storage? Was the view of the Aqua Theater and ocean good? Thank you in advance for all the info. :)

  4. After reviewing what the ship offered and what some other TAs offered, we decided to book directly with dolphin discovery. If booked far ahead enough, they offer some pretty good discounts. I really just wanted to do the manatee encounter, but my daughter and her friend (middle schoolers) wanted to be with the dolphins, so we booked both the manatee encounter and then the Royal dolphin swim. Together (for three people for both about $395) was much less than what the ship wanted for just the dolphin swim ($199 each).

This is what our family of 4 decided to do. It includes the buffet lunch and 2 non alcoholic drinks as well! :)

  5. This thread is over a year and a half old, but still relevant. We did this same cruise and used all the info to create an awesome cruise!!!!

Hey Rascalious! We still have great memories from our Baltic cruise! We are following Sherri's itinerary almost to the tee and have found it extremely helpful in our planning. Will be sailing in 5 months. Can't believe how time has gone so quickly! Say hi to the Mrs.! Take care and happy cruising!

  6. I agree with others who say pick by what ports interest them. We are in our late 40's and with such port intensive itineraries, we were in bed by 10:00 every night! We love Royal Caribbean and Celebrity!

  7. Thank you Dolfans. There are already reviews of Radiance 1100 and probably Serenade 1100 on that thread.

It is a great balcony on the corner aft. :D 2 loungers, 2 chairs and a table and plenty of extra room. It's a JS with the walk in closet and tub, sofa and chair with ottoman. The windjammer noise didn't really bother us, because we sleep pretty soundly and the noises were of short duration. The balcony is hot out there in the Caribbean, though...and there isn't much of a shade overhang. :)

Thank you so much, Coralc, for the information on this cabin! We are looking forward to it for our Med/Greek Isles cruise at the end of May. We have sailed in the aft on Radiance class ships but never in a corner aft. The center afts do have large/deep balconies with a nice overhang which we love, but wanted to experience the corner location and JS cabin. Hopefully, we will not be disappointed! Thank you again and happy cruising!

  8. We were just in 1100 on Serenade. I don't think they open anywhere on the ship, but they definitely don't open on the aft. They are welded in place, and of such a length, that if they did pivot, they would block your neighbor's access out the door to the balcony. :)

    Hi Coraic

Maybe you can share your comments on this thread of your experience in 1100. Would love to read your thoughts! :)

  9. The Mercer is in a nice area. You will love Barcelona, Cristina. How long are you staying? Does your cruise begin or end there?

BTW, how bout dem BRONCOS???? :D:D:D

Hey Jill! Thanks for the info! I was a bit nervous about staying in the quarter since I heard it can be a bit confusing getting around but we really wanted to experience the "old town". We are staying 3 nights post cruise and really looking forward to it!

Congrats on your Broncos! Manning is having an awesome year! Email me so we can catch up. :)

  10. Yep, they showed movies in the afternoon and evening on the big screen as well as the cinema. Never watched one on the outside screen, it's too windy for me out there. BRRR LOL. Yep, still have the toast beef sandwiches in the park cafe. There were 3 aerial performances on our cruise. One of them was on formal night and was part of the Captain's reception. I think that one was my favorite. Each show was performed twice.

Thank you so much for the info, BusyBlond and wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Holidays!

  11. Thank you for your post. We will be cruising on the Serenade in May/2014 for the 12 night Med/Greek Isles itinerary. We sailed her sister ship, Brilliance, to the Baltics in May of this year and absolutely fell in love with the Radiance class! Since the Brilliance was newly renovated, the aerial shows in the Centrum were not yet available so we are looking forward to seeing it on the Serenade. I do have a couple of questions...did the Serenade show afternoon movies on the large screen in the pool area? Did they serve the yummy roast beef sandwiches in the Park Cafe? Did they schedule a few aerial shows? Thanks for the info!

  12. Just one caution on the afternoon tour: you may encounter larger crowds. Not sure of that, but I can say, by the time we left (around 11:30 am) many (many) were arriving.

I also have to put in a plug for a private tour guide we used for 2 days pre cruise in Barcelona. Nancy Daum Dailey of Enchanting Barcelona Tours was fantastic. She's an American (from Maryland) living in Barcelona. I believe she can also provide private guided tours of Montserrat. We had already booked the ship's tour well in advance of our visit, otherwise I'd definitely have used her. Her website is http://www.enchantingbarcelonatours.com

Private touring isn't cheap, but you receive a wonderful, personalized experience. This said, if expenses are an issue, I'm sure the public tour that sonvoltken6 describes is perfectly fine. I saw the buses in Plaza Catalunya, easy to find. The important thing is to get to Montserrat and take it all in! :)

Thank you mooline for the recommendation for the private tour. I have contacted Nancy and she has provided me details for her 1/2 day tour picking us up from the airport. She sounds really nice and emailed me back right away. Thanks again! :)

  13. Dolfans - I have to agree with the enthusiasm for Monserrat. My suggestion if you are staying post cruise - take the afternoon tour. You can drop your luggage at the hotel, pick up the bus at Placa Catalunya and be on your way. The tour leaves after lunch and gets you back at dinner time. That is what we did and it was great.

Thanks for your thoughts, solvotken. Which tour company did you use or did you go on your own?

  14. Hi mooline. Thanks for posting your thoughts on Monseratt. We were thinking about squeezing in a visit during our 2 day post cruise and was wondering how early you went to beat the crowds. We were thinking about doing our own private your while waiting to check into our hotel. Thanks again for the info. :)

  15. Thanks again Sarah and Will for doing this review! Our group on CC all followed Sherri's review and it is nice to have a more recent perspective for this itinerary. A couple of questions regarding the tendering in Cannes. We have several couples in 3 groups of 8 who will be on a private tour and would like to tender together. Does each couple need to get their own tender tickets or will they give them to say one person from each group of 8? Do they scan your sea pass to get them? Greatly appreciate your thoughts on this and thanks again for the wonderful review thus far!
