  1. Normally we sail in an inside. This time I am looking for a window. Sailing on the Vision and ports of call are Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Colon, Panama; Cartagena, Colombia; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao. To be able to see the locks from the window, which side should I pick?

I know I would see more if I went up on deck, but my daughter needs a lot of down time and I would like to have a view of them. Please help me decide.  Asking the experts on here. You all are very knowledgeable. Thank you.

  2. For a virtual cruise go to facebook and search Abe Hughes-Royal Caribbean. He has a big following that has been cruising since March 22. We will be boarding on Monday for cruise number 10. We have the compass each day with daily activities and a cruise director chat each night. It is a blast! We even have t-shirts that most cruisers have ordered and are wearing. Join in the fun. 😃

I hate to break the bad news to you but shareholder OBC is now $100 for 7-13 days and $250 for 14 days+.

    $200 has been totally eliminated.

That is the now rates. The sale of the next cruise certificates was that in the future when you did the booking you would be booking at the OBC that was in  effect when you purchased the certificate. So it should be $200.

  4. But the idea of the next cruise was that when you used them you were to receive the amounts that were in effect when you purchased them. So with their rules I should receive a booking obc of $200. along with my shareholders of $200. as they were combinable when I purchased.

At least that is what I understood. Am I wrong?

I received $200 OBC for a couple cruise in 2010 and early 2011. One was 10 night and the other was 12.

They changed the amount around then. You'll probably have a tough time getting the $200

I thought it was $200 for a 10 + night cruise, but then that was a long time ago and was unable to find anything that told me for sure. Thank you!

  6. I have a Next Cruise Certificate I purchased back in December 2010. This was back when the Royal Caribbean gave you OBC for bookings. Amount depended on number of nights the booking was for. This OBC was also combinable with your stockholders credit. I am looking at an 11 night sailing. Can anyone shed some light on what these credit amounts would be and if there is anything else that we received when booking back in December 2010?

Anyone have old papers or emails that would shed light on this?

Muster stations usually run vertically and contain cabins from one side of the ship so you have the same block of cabins from multiple decks attending the same station.

As your cabins are 5 cabins apart there could be a chance that they are in different muster stations.  If you want to be more certain that they are in the same muster station book the 2 cabins directly across from each other.

There is is no way to tell with absolute certainty unless people who have stayed in both cabins post their locations.

Thank you. I was hoping someone who had stayed in these cabins would see the post and post on their experience. I know it is a long shot but I could not find out this information.

I have seen this and tried to ignore the absolute rudeness tone that you have. But, I'm sorry I cannot.

"On a leash on the floor"- IF you were ever to pay attention a service animals, when they are parked under a table or near their owner, the lead/leash is not held at all times. But it appears to me, that you only feel your opinions are what matter.

I do hope that you stand up and LOUDLY protest if you are ever seated anywhere near my family. My son requires a guide dog and if you were to ever try and blatantly embarrass yourself while yelling at my son, or my family. I can ensure you that it will be videotaped and shared with every resource available, to include guest services and ship security.

And to be clear.. You as a passenger have ZERO rights to ask my son about ANY certifications that he has. Absolutely NONE!

My son does have a disability, but he also can do rock walls, zip lines, pools/hot tubs and on and on.. So there are times that he will be doing activities that someone else will be attending to the guide dog. However in YOUR mind, that should not be allowed either.

You sir are very close minded and focused on yourself and NOT how your reactions could significantly affect someone who legitimately needs the service animal that you may or may not know the situation.

Good for you!!!!!! You are a great advocate for your son!

My daughter cruised with her service dog, often, and she encountered some very rude cruisers. I mean really RUDE. Even swore at her! The only good thing I can say about some of them is they helped her develop a thick skin which a special needs person needs to survive, sad  to say.

    Keep advocating for your son!
