  1. Many thanks for asking. We disembarked Coral on March 19th (before Argentina President changed his mind) and flew to JFK (we were originally scheduled to fly to LAX then SFO on AA but AA canceled all international flights out of South America) and arrived safe and sound but very tired. JFK was a mess and despite NYC being an epicenter of coronavirus, there was not one health check station anywhere. The Customs agents were all over the place especially right by the exit and none were wearing masks nor any PPE. They were searching almost everyone top to bottom. JFK should've devoted many of these personnel to monitor incoming passengers' health instead. Anyhow, we self quarantined at home for 2 weeks before venturing out to get grocery and naturally we couldn't find any toilet paper!
  2. I posted this same message on another topic "Currently on Coral Princess" ... Since we have a credit balance of about $1,500 as of March 19, the day we disembarked Coral Princess due to canceled excursions and the credit has not shown up in our registered credit card, we called Princess today. They said all refunds including credit balance on completed cruises, canceled cruises, future cruise credits ... are taking 60+ days to process so the earliest we'll see the refund is mid May. Princess rep said the refunds are being processed in batches. In the past, credit balance was refunded to our credit card almost immediately after we disembarked but then this is not normal times. Give them a few weeks. If you don't see a refund in your registered credit card by mid or late May, give them a call to follow up.

  4. There are still many of us without confirmed flights from Princess EZAir. I called Princess EZAir earlier. They are saying most passengers without confirmed flights actually have flights reserved for them departing out of Buenos Aires on March 20, not 19th because ship's official disembarking time in Buenos Aires is 6pm March 19 per EZAir whereas the ship's captain is telling us ship should dock by 1am, ready to disembark shortly after. Since EZAir goes by the previous official time of 6pm on the 19th, they can't release reservations or rebook flights until the Captain sends out a revised arrival time to indicate earlier arrival time. So we have a huge mess here with hundreds of passengers in limbo. Some of us may have to end up spending an extra night on the ship or in a hotel. The reception area this evening is jammed with passengers, not a pretty scene.
  5. I don't believe anyone without a confirmed plane ticket can leave the ship. Besides ship will pick up all checked luggage tonight before dinner. Without the proper color luggage tags, ship won't know what departure time to assign us. There's a special meeting at 4pm today at the Wheelhouse Bar for affected passengers for an update on the rebooking, we hope.
  6. Yes, we can only gather Princess EZAir department is totally overwhelmed by the thousands of rebooking on our ship as well as other Princess ships in similar situation. However, Princess EZAir should've known AA had dropped all international flights out of south America from AA's announcement almost a week ago. Good news is our ship is treating us very well.
  7. Princess EZAir have really dropped the ball on our flight rebooking out of Buenos Aires Argentina tomorrow. They weren't even aware American Airlines had cancelled all international flights out of South America. Princess EZAir were telling passengers who were booked on AA that all AA flights out of Buenos Aires were still good. Ship's customer service desk can't help with any flight rebooking. All flight bookings must be done by Princess EZAir. Ship's customer service can't even reach anyone at Princess EZAir because no one answers the phone. Only way to reach Princess EZAir is by email but unfortunately Princess EZAir department is not answering any emails even from Princess ships. Our ship will start disembarkation starting around 2pm tomorrow. All guests must go directly to the airport from ship. Guests who are not flying out until after tomorrow, they are required to stay in a hotel until their designated departure date.
  8. Front desk told us several times Princess EZAir would automatically take care of the rebooking for us due to our cancelled AA flights from Buenos Aires to LAX and advised us NOT to book flights on our own if Princess EZAir did our original flights. I actually contacted AA about our cancelled flight and AA would not help in the rebooking or refund because our tickets were handled by Princess EZAir. AA advised us to work with Princess EZAir for the rebooking. AA said we could book new flights but we would have to pay for the new flight arrangements on our own. The front desk seems to be giving you instructions very different than what we are hearing. Talked to a number of other passengers with cancelled AA flights back to US, front desk is telling them the same story that Princess EZAir is supposed to do all the rebooking. May I ask where your destination is and did you pay for the new booking yourself bypassing Princess EZAir?
  9. My educated guess is Princess will definitely assist those passengers who were planning to get off FLL with flight arrangements from Buenos Aires. Talked to a couple from Florida this morning. Front desk told them Princess is getting them and others in similar situation flights from Buenos Aires to somewhere in Florida.
  10. Our ship captain has just announced that all passengers will be disembarking in Buenos Aires on 19th as originally planned. Princess EZAir will be working out details on rebooking new flight arrangements for passengers who have booked flights with Princess EZAir. Also all passengers must have their temperature checked and recorded at the ship's medical office tomorrow to satisfy the new requirement from the Argentina health authority.
  11. Misunderstood captain's message. Apparently Argentina President wants an additional 15 days "quarantine" before any ships can dock and disembark. Things are changing every minute.
  12. Ship captain has just announced that Argentina President has issued an emergency order forbidding any ship docking and disembarking in Argentina for 15 days which is different than what Buenos Aires port authority has told our ship. We may need to spend an extra day at sea before we can disembark in Buenos Aires. I'm sure Princess EZAir is pulling out all stops to get all of us rescheduled with a moving target.
  13. Captain has indeed informed us we will be docking and disembarking in Buenos Aires starting midnight 19th because our ship by then will have met the 14 days "quarantine" requirement before disembarkation. We had previously booked Buenos Aires city tour on the 18th and disembark tour on the 19th ... well those tours have all been cancelled for now and we've been issued airport transfer vouchers for the 19th. The actual airport transfer departure time will depend solely on our new flight arrangements which have not yet been related to us. The passengers with independent flight arrangements have a huge challenge to rebook their cancelled flights. We met two couples from Australia with independent flight arrangements back to Sydney but everything is now changed due to cancelled flights and changed disembarkation ports. We must commend the Princess staff on this ship for doing an excellent job of keeping us fed and entertained all with a smiling face when their own future is in the dark after all passengers have disembarked. They have no clue whether they are staying behind, going back home on an extended leave, ... Talked to a Head Waiter. He was supposed to meet his family and kids in Buenos Aires but now nothing is sure anymore. Yes, we are looking forward to going back home but we'll miss all the folks we've met on this wonderful and rewarding cruise.
  14. Disembarking in FLL sounds good to us thus avoiding the problem with closed ports in South America. There are about 700 passengers with original itinerary ending in Brazil and Fort Lauderdale. This situation is very fluid so anything can change the last minute. So far our packed ship has been lucky with no reported coronavirus on board.
  15. Puerto Madryn in Argentina has refused our ship from docking today ... Our next stop is Montevideo, Uruguay but unfortunately Montevideo has blocked our ship from disembarking but OK to service the ship (getting new supplies) so no one can get off. Captain says all passengers will disembark in Buenos Aires Argentina on 19th. However, how we get back to US is now a big question since AA has cancelled all flights from Argentina. Since many passengers made travel arrangements with Princess EZAir, we are guessing Princess EZAir is working feverishly to get all passengers rebooked. We have so far received NO emails or notifications from Princess regarding flight cancellation and flight rebooking. Ship's customer service is also in the dark. Princess if you are reading this ... Please give us an update.
