According to Copper 10-8's post it was actually a dry dock at Freeport, Bahamas.
Thanks! :):):):)

Anxious like others to hear/see re: how she looks post wet dock.
Hoping folks onboard are enjoying their cruise. :)

They have put some investment into getting the ship ready for Alaska. The video about it said that they added a deck and cranes for the zodiacs. So it seems likely that they will be back. Perhaps they want to see how at least the first of this year's itineraries go before announcing for 2019.
Thanks for that info. Hoping they decide to sail Alaska in 2019 as well.

Hi!
Anyone aware/heard/read if Windstar will sail to Alaska during the summer of 2019?
Realize that they will be in Alaska this summer; but, curious if anyone has heard re: the summer of 2019.
Thanks!

Thank you all for your replies-they are greatly appreciated. My apology that it took so long to respond- life just got a bit hectic since I posted my question.
I am big on researching our vacations and really enjoy learning about what others did, and did not, enjoy.
When asking others which places or activities they would skip the 2nd time around, I often learn facts I might have missed otherwise.
Again, many thanks. :)

Hi-
Curious for those who have been on a cruise to Alaska, which port and/ or excursion was your least favorite and why?
Looking for info on the ports and/or excursions you would not elect to do again.
Thanks!

Princess has fit our schedule and budget more often than Celebrity. I wouldn't mind sailing on either again. If the price is the same, I'd go with Princess for our past passenger perks. The last time we strayed from Princess was for a Holland America cruise in February. The amount of money we saved was enough to be willing to give up our Princess perks.
Straying a tiny bit off topic- Geoherb: What did you think of the Hal cruise?

Thank you all again for your advice and info sharing.
I think we are leaving towards one of the aft Neptune suits. I just think we would really enjoy it. :-)
Hoping the keep the Crow's Nest on the Eurodam- such a nice space and one of the main reasons the ship caught our eye. And, from the video I saw online, look like others really enjoy it, too!

Thanks so much for the info. Will definitely check out the link/ thread.
Appreciate all of you responding.:-)

Hi! Considering Eurodam for a trip with DH in 2018.
Some rather basic questions about the Eurodam:
Is there still a Crow's Nest on the ship? Looks like a great place to read. ( Saw some videos on YouTube.)
Are there other quiet areas for reading?
Regarding Signature suite versus Neptune, could you share why you would choose one over the other?
Also, any Neptune suites that you think are in the best location?
Lastly, for Eurodam fans, what are your favorite features of the ship?
Thanks!

Hi-
Can anyone list which Princess ships have indoor or covered pools?
Also, are any of the indoor pools for adults only?
Thanks!

Looking for advice re: the best Aqua class staterooms on Infinity for Alaskan cruise; also, looking for advice re: best Sky Suite for Infinity for Alaskan cruise.
Key considerations- Stateroom needs to be far, far from any smoke and also offer quiet and private (balcony) location.
Thanks!

Budget Queen, thanks for brining up peak season in/at Wrangell. From what I have see online, this year for the Anan Bear Observatory peak season is July 5 to August 25; with some viewing right before those dates and right after (shoulder season). Budget Queen and others assisting, please correct me if I am wrong on that info.
FYI- Oceania has other cruises during that time frame with include Wrangell:
July 21, 2017- 7 Day Cruise, Round Trip from Seattle, which includes Wrangell, Sitka, and Prince Rupert.
August 21 and August 31- Ten day cruises which include Wrangell. (Seattle to Vancouver on the 21st; Vancouver to Vancouver on the 31st).

Hi, Nancy- We are looking at Oceania for the summer of 2017. They have itineraries which include Wrangell. We are looking at insides to Oceanview and plan to be out on deck for viewing.
-
Also thinking it might be a good idea to check the port schedules for 2017 (if they are posted somewhere) to see how many ships will be in each port for the different options. Anyone know where one can find that info for the summer of 2017 for Alaska ports?

Hello-
Looking for advice on best route for whale watching. Realize we will probably need to take some excursions.
Considering three itineraries-

Option 2- Seattle, Wrangell, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Straight Point, Sitka, Victoria (Inside passage once; Round trip Seattle)
Option 3- Vancouver, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, Wrangell, Victoria (Inside passage twice; Round trip Vancouver)
Thanks!

Thanks!

Like Suntan, I was hoping for some deals on cruises for 2016. Already have Alaska booked with 123 Go! All inclusive for later this year. Going to stick with that one for now.
Thanks to those who posted re: the fares they were seeing and their opinions as to whether they were or were not great deals.
Larger inside cabins/staterooms on the Eurodam and the Nieuw Amsterdam?
in Holland America Line
Posted
Good morning/afternoon-
Have been searching on the HAL threads for info about the larger inside staterooms on the Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam; but, have not been able to find the threads/related info.
Trying to ascertain which decks, which cabins are the larger inside staterooms.
Thanks in advance,
-EngSet
