  1. I booked my cruise in April 2015 for September 2016 with early saver. There was one price drop with obc about one month later which I noticed and received. Since it has gone up nearly $50 pp. I was totally willing to pay the price I purchased my cruise knowing that a drop in price isnot guaranteed. I have subscribed to shipmate and it emails me if the price goes up or down. I am very happy that I booked ahead of time because at the time you could book cruises that were two weeks out so much cheaper but that is not the case now and I had been considering just holding my money and purchasing the pack and go but I noticed they are not as inexpensive as as they used to be. I'm not complaining though because I know Carnival needs to make money to make improvements and to continue to be a thriving business. Although the dining room and the Lido Buffet have not improved the other eating venues on the ship have gotten so tasty!

Point is I don't think you can lose going with early saver if you know you're not going to have to cancel your cruise because if the price drops you can drop it but chances are you may not get it any cheaper.

  2. I've tried the patch, Dramamine, and Bonine.

Here's what works for me - I take a chewable Bonine the night before the cruise at bedtime, then one chewable Bonine each night of the cruise. I have never, even in high seas, felt sick and I get motion sick on an airplane!! So I am quite sensitive.

Bonine works better than either the patch or Dramamine for me. Will never sail again without it.

I too am a BONINE fan!! always take it when I wake up and when I go to bed. Perfect!

  3. I take all sorts of over the counter meds just in case. Like advil BONINE of course Sudafed rolaids etc in a container. Bugspray bandaid antibiotic ointment ok I overdo it but I don't want to have to buy anything on board.

  4. There's always that one cheap guy that has to try to squeeze more out of the deals and promotions. This will be cancelled soon too, with people like you bugging the crap out of the restaurant workers.

Really? When your in this kind of mood~ Just. Stop. Posting.

  5. It's all about the points.....you need 7,500 points in a 12 month period to start getting the premier offers.....For us once they started we've been getting them every round for the past 2 years and hope they continue forever lol

Were able to book the Vista Oct to Europe through one and I never though we'd go to Europe till we retired But with the Free Comp and cash it made it a simple decision lol

Slots gather points easier than tables.....Sometimes you don't even have to actually spend lots of cash outta pocket to get lots of points

Say you've put in $300 and then your machine starts hitting or you hit a jackpot. Well then your able to keep playing and playing and playing with your points racking up but hardly any outta pocket money

We just got off the Conquest recently and my MIL did this. She wound up with 7,300 points just from that cruise alone

Hope this Helps and Good Luck 😃

Ahhh I see. Thank you for the info!

  6. How much cash do you have to go through in the casino to get offers? Or rather how much to get to 7500 points? I am a rather newbie cruiser. I have taken 2 and have one booked in the fall but we haven't spent much time in the casino.

  7. Where did you get this information? Why even post a date if you don't know for sure?!?!?

I'm going to guess they'll be out in 10-14 days but I'll post when I know for sure.

You're going to know for sure the same time the rest of us will know for sure...when they actually appear on the Carnival website!!!

I haven't had my morning coffee yet and don't feel like overlooking your rude sarcastic post. Some people appreciate the heads up when the offers are available and others just like being helpful but your post did nothing but make fun of someone. Sure you are right and you do look kind of funny but really being funny at someone else's expense has a name. Bully. This is why I don't enjoy cruise critic much anymore. Sad.

  8. If I do not have faster to the fun purchased how long can I expect it to take before I can get off the ship at Cozumel. The ship arrives in port at 8 and I want to take an Excursion that is private, what time should I tell them reasonably to meet me? What if I do have faster to the fun? Then about how long does it take? I know faster to the fun is only $60 but that is a night in the steakhouse and that sounds so much more fun than getting off the ship a little bit earlier. We don't have any children with us so standing in line doesn't really bother me that much.

  9. I would get fttf if for only this excursion so you can be one of the first to tender. There are a lot of people on a big ship like the breeze. I would contact the company you're getting an Excursion through and ask them if they wait if you can't get off quick enough. they are used to vacationers coming off of cruise ships.

  10. I think his ships are so creative and awesome!! It is so fun to look at each room and all the details! Ship exploring is an adventure. I loved the conquest! So artistic and creative. I really was in awe at his work even if I didn't love every room I appreciated it( I actually do love them all really). He's amazing.

  11. The food is going too be better on the freedom until they do the 2.0 upgrades on the dream. I think the dream is the most beautiful ship in the fleet. I love the red dining rooms! But I care about the food so I am sailing on the freedom. Although the freedom has the pub and they aren't cooking pub grub in it and that is ultra annoying to me because I love the coconut shrimp and crab bites! Oh well. Freedom does have fish and chips, Guys, and the better Mexican food which was desperately needed as the old Mexican food tasted like bad cafeteria food imho. I love cruising and would gladly Cruise either ship without complaints but if I had to choose I would choose the one with better food. I have sailed on both off their sister ships and liked them both.

  12. I have not been on a regular balcony only a cove. I liked

the cove but I thought it was kind of dreary and damp. There was no sun on it. I had one of the open ones with no lifeboat overhead and I would do it again if it was free but I think I will choose regular balconies from now on if I get one. I usually just stay in port hole rooms for the nicer room at less cost and read books on a quiet spot on the aft.
