Let's hope there is still a rocking chair in the suite . But youn are right, if it's the only thing they are giving from the renderings, most will drag it out on the balcony.

Still, from what I've seen thus far, the ship is beautiful and I'm sure most if not all will have a great time and cruise.

I agree the ship does look beautiful and I know we will have a wonderful time! We are excited to explore and try all of the new bars and restaurants. We actually will probably spend less time on our balcony than we have on past cruises just because  we will be busy exploring and trying all the new things! Cannot Wait!

  2. Well I can't say that I am happy about this discovery, but I think it is pretty clear that the Sky Suites with have different chair from what was advertised. The advertised chairs just look much more relaxing and inviting. Oh well. Pool DH, he will be stuck with one of those other chairs because I have already claimed the rocking chair, which I will be pulling out onto my balcony for sure now!

  3. At least Raw on the 5 is back. My DH will be very happy.  I was thinking of canceling my 4 night package for 12/9, given the MC was not longer included and I was getting worried about not getting the times we like. However, I checked yesterday and all early times for dinner available to book and pay full price are no longer available. So I think I will try my luck at asking my butler to see if he can get me reservations earlier than 9 pm. If not, oh well we will just go to an early show and eat late.  At least I got the 4 night package before it went up. I agree with VT, that celebrity will make sure everyone with a package gets to use it but we will have to be flexible with time and date. I think I will be so excited to be on Edge, I really won't care what time I eat dinner. Only 21 more days for us!

Very helpful. Thanks! Just one more question: if you buy the pass, does it provide unlimited access? It seemed to allow only for 15 minute prereserved appointment blocks, which seemed odd. We, too, are looking to purchase a pass. Thank you!

I believe you get unlimited access. At least that has how it is on other ships. Given Edge is new only time will tell for sure, but I believe the "15 minute preserved blocks" are just kind of an IT/website hiccup. We have never been limited in the time we can go or how much time we can stay. Also, this week there is 1,2 and 3 day passes now available. People are reporting they cannot actually purchase them but those might be an available option soon, if you don't want a full 7 day pass. I did the math and for us the 7 day pass offers a better price per day when you buy the couples pass.

  5. Alright I am going to have a brat moment here, so please excuse me. The mock up Sky Suite video posted by a TA a few months ago, set up by X,  had the chairs that are in the rendering of the Sky Suite above. The white ones with the light blue cushions. While it will not ruin my cruise, I am going to be a little irritated if my Sky Suite doesn't have those chairs or something close to it. Using the chairs from the IV, is almost a complete 360 from the ones advertised.  If we have the IV chairs, I will be pulling my rocker out onto the balcony.  X you have been warned! lol

I was just reading a new email from Celebrity about my upcoming cruise.  It mentions the Sea Thermal Suite...

Embark on an unparalleled wellness journey through eight distinct spaces, like our tranquil Float Room or Rainfall Water Therapy Room, each experience harnessing the benefits of natural elements. Availability is limited, so purchase your passes today. Staying in AquaClass®? Then complimentary, unlimited access to this playground for the senses is already included.

DH and I are in Aqua Class.  Do we also get to experience the Salt Room without additional fees?  I've been wanting to try them.

Yes, you do. In Aqua Class you get free access to the entire Thermal Suite including the salt room.

Do you think you get to use these areas if one has a massage booked? Usually how it works in other places.

If I had to  guess, I would say no. I think you get the relaxation room but not the Thermal Spa area with a treatment.

I was excited to see that the 2 night pre-preview cruises (in 12 days!!!) offer 2 and 3 day Thermal Suite passes. It wouldn't be worth it to have a 3 day pass on this cruise, but I think I will book the 2 day pass to try it out on one of my two night cruises. Soooooo excited!

Hopefully these will be offered on 7 night cruises (maybe onboard since I haven't seen this online) to have an affordable way for people to try out the Thermal Suites.

These are now offered for my 7 day on 12/9. Additionally a one day pass for $59 is offered as well.

I did not get any replies before about opinions on the Blu chairs.  I found the photo and reposting.

    Portovénéré Dom 32.jpg

If I had to guess, I would say those are most likely the chairs that will be used at Blu for the outside seating and not for inside. They look a lot like the chairs used for the MC, during the TA tour a few months back given the chairs are more all weather. Below is a rendering for Blu and the chair are very different and more what we would expect inside for dinning. I will know for sure in 24 days, but  VT will know sooner.

Does anyone know if the app allows you to message other people onboard? I've called Celebrity a few times and they just keep saying "I know there's a new app but not sure what it does"! Frustrating.

Figured Edge would have something considering how new it is! I mean even Carnival and Princess have a way to communicate onboard!

Yes, it does. On the top right corner of the screen  in the app it says  " Beta." If you click on it, it says you can  stay connected during your cruise and chat with linked guests.

We’re new to Celebrity. We love the Thermal Spas, but it looks like they’re only available to Aqua Class guests (not Sky Suite). Am I reading this correctly? Is there an equivalent for Suite guests? Thanks in advance!

AQ has free access. But everyone can purchase a day pass or a week pass. There is not a promotion or discount for suites. Elite and above, do get one free day pass on a port day only. The  Day passes are not available online in the cruise planner but a week pass  is for an individual or couple. It is pricey at $399 plus 18% gratuity for a 7 day couple pass. We booked it because we were worried it might sell out given the Spa is new and has so much to offer.

That’s definitely a different version of Le Petit Chef than we had on Reflection in April - blast I had eliminated it from our choices as we had done it before!

Looks like you might consider adding it back! I personally was not interested in it but now after seeing this video, I want to try it on our 12/9 cruise.

  13. At one point Celebrity was advertising that if you booked a dinning package, it could be used for  Dinner on the Edge. I feel like with La Petit, that was only going to be offered once or twice per cruise but now will be offered twice per night, Dinner on the Edge will be offered more often. There is no way Celebrity is going to loose money, if people want to be have Dinner on the Edge, weather permitting.
