Your collection looks awesome Mitsugirly!

Thank you cruisemom

Thank you for the information!

If you need a Joy mini ship for your collection, you can probably find a "used" one online.

Hi, I see that Celebrity has an entire page dedicated to solos. What has been your experience on Celebrity?
Do they have a solo meet and greet on the first night or all nights of the cruise?
Do they have a solo table in the MDR?
In general, are they trying to cater to the solo market, or is it just a dedicated web page right now?
TIA!

Hello,
I have never sailed on Celebrity and would like to try an Edge Single Stateroom with Infinite Veranda.
The lowest price I see is $1726 for 7 days. This does not seem like a great price for a solo cabin. Does this price ever go substantially down, or is this just the price right now?
I know only the new ships have this cabin, so that may be coming into play.
TIA!

Yes, I only asked for and received the first 5%. Sounds like I'll ask my TA to get the next 5% (which I understand will be slightly less than 5%.) Thanks!

All VC members get 5%. Because you’re more than six months out, you get another 5% after that. So it ends up being 9.75%. If you were at 9 months, you’d have gotten extra OBC of $50 also. 12 months gets you double points.
Hi, so I should ask my TA to call them back and request another 5%?

P.S. MSC did get it exactly right. They reduced the fare (must have been a price drop) and gave me the rest of the 5% discount. So the discount was 4. something %.
I'm impressed, they did get it right!

Success! My TA called MSC. They repriced the cruise fare $4.00 lower (an error I’m sure) and gave me a 4. something % discount. It’s not 5% off the old or new amount, but I’ll take it!
My new travel agent has been great so far, but it’s good to know about the concierge!

Okay, thank you for the feedback!

Hi,
My cruise is booked for March 2024. I received my Voyagers Club Number yesterday. Has anyone successfully had the 5% discount applied to the cost of the cruise? (Not an OBC, but taken off the cruise price?)
Thank you in advance!

I received my status match today. So it took about 24 hours. The email I received said I would receive another email with more details. I'm going to wait a couple of days and then let my TA contact them.

Hi Tami, the comments I'm seeing are all over the place. For many people it took two weeks, but some people got a response in two days! And some people were told their information was incomplete, they submitted the exact same information again and it was accepted. This all sounds like typical MSC 🙂

Great, thank you. I know other cruise lines have food available 24/7, I just wanted to make sure there was something available on MSC, especially between lunch and dinner. I can get into a pattern where I’m looking for lunch around 3pm.
-
Thanks everyone. I’m currently waiting for the approval email. Once I get that I’ll probably let the TA contact them. Fingers crossed that they apply my Voyager club number and that there are no hiccups.

Hi,
On the Seashore, are there times food is not available in either the buffet or YC? Maybe between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner?
-
Hi,
Is there any chance MSC will apply my 5% discount without the TA contacting them? After reading on this forum that MSC can often mess up a reservation if any changes take place, I’m a little concerned about trying to apply the 5% discount.

I agree. I once sailed out of Miami as a solo and I have sworn never again! A six hour drive home is not my cup of tea. Staying at a hotel to avoid a six hour drive home does not sound a lot better!
-
Thanks. I'm specifically looking for Port Canaveral.

Hi,
When do we expect the 2025 itineraries to be released?
-
That does work, thanks!

8420PR - Thanks!
Kernow – I’m sorry to hear about your phone!
Do they no longer slide a copy of the bill at the end of the cruise under your door? It seems like I remember that.

Hi, it’s been a number of years since my last cruise. I like to leave my phone in the safe for the entire cruise, I’m a luddite!
Will I be able to do that while sailing in the Yacht Club? Or are there now things in 2023 that require a phone on the ship?
TIA

Interesting! It looks like Edge has the solo Infinite Veranda cabins so I'd guess they might have a solo dining table. But maybe not!
I appreciate everyone's feedback so far!
