Well sorry but that is not happening all over the country. My niece works with Early Year 2-5 yr old has worked all through the pandemic and has not got any health conditions and is aged 30 and was called for a vaccine because of her jab and she received it today.

There was a letter/text sent out in error to Early Years workers who somehow got mixed up with social workers. Our local authority sent out an urgent email telling us to ignore the message as some people booked appointments but were turned away at the vaccine hubs as they weren't eligible. Some may have slipped through the net but this wasn't supposed to happen.

  2. I work in Early Years with 2-5 year olds, we have worked throughout the pandemic and have extremely close contact with young children. We do not wear face masks because young children need to be able to see your facial expressions but this does not mean we should skip the queue for vaccines. Older members of staff and those with underlying conditions will soon be vaccinated when the brilliant NHS send us our letters.

I really wouldn't mind but he has dealt with some serious medical procedures which he took in his stride, not bothered at all having heart surgery that took over 12 hours but a simple vaccination is worrying him.

I think all the scaremongering in the news and on social media doesn't help Josy, my Mum is one of the most down to earth people I know and always been an advocate of vaccinations but had a last minute wobble worrying about side effects. I gave her a good talking to and needless to say she was fine afterwards and looking forward to having the second dose.

On Marr this morning the Vaccine Minister Nadhim Zahawi there were no plans to introduce vaccine passports, but minister says public should ask their GP for proof if its needed to travel abroad. Provision of a letter to confirm would be chargeable by most GP Practices.

If that is the case it could be another GP lottery, our GP practice is struggling to cope with the everyday needs of the community and has done for a couple of years now. It is quite normal for us to ring for a 'non emergency' appointment and be given an appointment in 6-8 weeks time. I can't see them welcoming the burden of this on top of their already overstretched practice.

Not correct. We hired a holiday cottage in the autumn between lockdowns. No need to wear a mask around the cottage. No need to wear a mask walking around outside. We dined out every day where we liked and when we liked. We had to put a mask on for a matter of seconds as we walked in and out of each pub or restaurant and that was it. We were free to travel around and go where we wanted and whenever we wanted to. It was lovely. A cruise under the proposed restrictions would be anything but, as far as we are concerned.

I completely agree with this, which is why we have transferred our cruise to next year and booked holiday cottages in the UK for this summer (for anyone thinking about booking in the school holidays, we booked last weekend and there was limited availability already). We are happy to wait for our cruise however it's ridiculous that P&O continue to insist that any cruise under the current potential restrictions is not a significant change to the normal cruise experience. I think most people understand why the changes are necessary but it's a shame that P&O aren't willing to offer a refund of deposits as an option once they are in a position to declare what the rules for each specific sailing will be and what the excursion options are so that people can make their own  calculated decisions based on facts.

  6. We had a C deck cabin on Azura which is directly above D deck and as Graham said you have no privacy on the D deck balcony as everyone above can see you. There is no 'roof' so you have no shelter from the weather however we were too busy enjoying ourselves to worry about watching people on the balcony below.

Looking at the calculator and I have moved from late March to early February but I will not take that to be written in stone .They will send for me when they are ready .

Put the calculator here if anyone needs it   ........

Nadhim Zahawi has just said on the news that the vaccine uptake is about 85% at the moment which is fantastic but pushes back the calculator dates slightly. Still very promising though 🤞

We have a lot, over 90,000 of very elderly people in Kent/Medway so I have not heard of anyone in the 70+ group being contacted yet. Still hoping for a late February call 🤞

Quite a few in the 75+ group have been vaccinated around the Maidstone/West Malling area of Kent in the last week or so.

Yes it is both ways.  One thing we had was we had looked at the cruise the day before and discovered we could get exactly the same cabin as our July cruise.  Next day all those cabins had gone.  However TA was still able to book it.  The website may not be showing correct availability.

    Thank you 👍

We have moved to this cruise last week.  No change in deposit.  Cabins however are filling up very quickly as lots of others having the same idea.

Thanks Dinglebert, did P&O say anything to you about the flight being the day of departure or not?
