Thanks! Definitely after maximizing points rather than cash back now that we are about to become empty nesters.
We don’t fly often and don’t stay at hotels often either (maybe 3 times a year) but are looking forward to cruise 4-6 times a year.
We want to try Oceania, Viking and Seabourn. We are already booked for Crystal and Azamara.

Has anyone compared these 2 credit cards Chase Saphire Reserve vs Amex Platinum as far as which is more advantageous for frequent cruisers?

That looks awesome!! Thanks for sharing!

They're treating us very well! Lots of activities too. The sea days are flying by.
Do you prefer their R ships to the O ships?
We are trying to book our very first Oceania cruise and are debating that... 7 nights only.

O - H!!
I live VERY close to Hilliard! Am over there often. Central Ohio is a great place to live....well, sometimes I'm not so sure of that during the winter, but no worries about it for me this year. 😉
I-O!!!

On this trip out of the 24 days so far, we have had 3 or 4 that were kind of rough. Past performance is no guarantee of the future though.
LOL Awesome! Thank you!

Our son is a Buckeye. I think I had already told you that. Living in Hilliard now :))

I'm CURIOUS...
On a world cruise, roughly, what percentage of days you get "good sea days" vs "rough sea days"?
Thank you!

I meant Sirena.

With a "one word" CC profile stating "Foodie," you may want to move Oceania to the top of that list.
As for the ships themselves, also look at the Oceania "Next" project. It includes total interior makeovers for the four 670 passenger R ships (already underway) and two brand new "Allura" class ships (approx 1000 passengers) due in 2922 and 2025.
I'm looking at Insignia Lisbon to London or Riviera Rome to Barcelona, both in September 2020.

As far as ship goes, watching videos on YouTube, my favorite is the Viking ship. We have Crystal and AZ booked and will definitely travel Viking. Still debating if we should give O a try.

Exactly! We love being able to drive from Orlando straight to the FL ports. We’ve been to Europe several times, specially Portugal, but never cruised there.
When we can, we like to avoid TSA and all the airport inconveniences.

there are some things I like better about the "O" ships and some things I like better about the "R" ships.
Can you share which please?

We will either do Caribbean, Mediterranean or Alaska.
Being that it’s our first Oceania cruise I’m still not sure which to take. We are basically trying to learn what we are likely to enjoy the most and will likely become a loyalist of 1 or 2 lines. Graduating from Disney with the kids and a brief trial of X

For those who have travelled both classes of Oceania ships, which do you prefer and why?

Okay, it's harder to get a two top at the "middle" times, but not impossible.
What's a two top?

Btw, how much is a lunch in Havana? Trying to figure out how much money to take as we always use credit card but already heard we need cash in Cuba.

We will take our first Aramark cruise in March. We will compare it to the Suite class on Celebrity. We have also sailed on Seabourn. It seems the cabins, and bathrooms are much smaller on Aramark compared to Seabourn. There is no question that the basic suite on Celebrity is much larger than Azamara. We will judge the rest of the experience on the Journey in March. I have noted quite a few complaints about the Azamara experience in Cuba and I hope our experience is better.
We too. We have been on Celebrity suites (RS this coming weekend) and will be on our first Azamara on March 21 to Cuba for 4 nights. Got a super tiny cabin 146 sq ft - smallest ever - but that was they had left. Expecting a great cruise.

Thank you Tom!
We booked the jazz club which is at 9:30 PM but now I’m thinking what if they have the Azamazing event that night? Was there an Azamazing even during your cruise? Ours is a 4 night on March 21.

I recently used a site that has several agents provide quotes to you. I ended up with better benefits than were being offered by one of the big online agents that I have used in the past.
Would you mind PM it to me please?

it is against Cruise Critic's forum policy to post the names (or hints at names) of Travel Agents.
Makes sense...

Amongst others, we have done one cruise on Azamara, one on Crystal, five on Oceania and about 20 on Celebrity. Have enjoyed them all. However, we felt Crystal was too formal, and would not sail with them again. The experience on Azamara and Oceania is very similar. They are homey, comfortable, relaxing ships. Celebrity is a different proposition...less costly, more crowded, can be very loud, and a younger demographic. In my opinion, Celebrity ships are more stunning. However, with the new Edge, prices of Celebrity are close to Oceania!
Seapoint, what is your favorite Oceania ship?

We were on the Edge last December and Luminae's food was very underwhelming. Cosmopolitan (not specialty) had a better fish, but the atmosphere was "too casual" and we are very casual but felt like Carnival in the Cosmopolitan.
Azamara BED. Who makes them?

Anyone knows who makes the mattresses for Azamara? We LOVED that bed!!
