We had a Guarantee cabin our last AZ cruise and we were very pleased with the cabin assigned. The Guarantee was in the same category as our previously selected cabins and we did research on the various cabin possibilities we might be assigned, so were comfortable with a Guarantee. We looked at it as another adventure!
Funnily enough, our best cabin attendants of all our cruises.

No, you are not missing anything. Just means your cabin has not yet been assigned. You just have to keep checking.

If it were me, there is the option of storing the luggage at the cruise terminal, touring Singapore for the day, then heading to the airport for the late night flight.
Depending on which cruise terminal (there are 2), cruise terminal has luggage storage service. Here's a recent TA thread of options:

Trip Advisor is a great resource. If your put "tour guide" in the search bar, you will get recommendations and feedback for actual experience.
You can also search on the cruisecritic ports of call board and your roll call may also have suggestions.
Travel guide books are also useful. And there's always Google.

Awesome information for our upcoming cruise re HCMC, Bangkok and Ko Samui. Thanks uktog.

We were on Quest this past October. Ship was 100% occupied. Service was absolutely amazing everywhere.

We brought it to the attention of management and we were told it was not an isolated incident. Action was taken.
We were completely taken aback as his behaviour and attitude was so contrary to the rest of the crew.
In Amalfi we took the local bus to Ravello, then walked the 1,000+ steps down to Minori where we had stayed a few years ago. It was exhausting, but a fantastic experience.

Great review! We enjoyed our cruise as much as you. And I think we may have had the same snotty waiter!

On our first 2 cruises we had V3 deck 7 cabins - one forward and one aft. Our third cruise we took a guarantee V3 and were allocated 6008. We heard absolutely nothing from either above or below. On our upcoming cruise were are back on deck 7 forward which is our favourite area and yes, I would say, favourite deck.
Nothing at all wrong with deck 6, but we found the extra floor made us take the elevator a few more times up to Windows, Library, etc.

We are cruising from Singapore in March and will board as late as possible so as to enjoy as much of Singapore as we can. We have only a few days pre-cruise in Singapore and want to explore the city as much as possible.
We are fortunate our first full day on the ship is a day at sea, so plenty of time to settle in and then another 13 days to enjoy the ship.

There has been some previous discussion on the Livorno Port thread. Just need to sift through a bit.

If I could figure out how to post photos, I would.
On our October 3rd Quest cruise from Venice, The Insider was an 8 1/2 x 14 page folded in half. The former Pursuits was 11 x 17 folded in half. New format, less space, less content.

MMDownUnder - Here you go. I believe this is your cruise:

marinaro44 - The daily newsletter was completely different format from our previous cruises. Not to mention, previously called Pursuits, now The Insider. New ship took the name.

The cruise itinerary will be clearly noted on the Azamara website. It will note if the ship is docked or tendered and name of the port.
Your can find out more about ports in Asia here:
https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70
Or go to the specific Trip Advisor Forum for that local. Here's the link to Ko Samui - Azamara does tender here:

The first day’s newsletter sets out what sort of food is on the buffet for each night of the cruise, so we always keep it for the whole of the cruise - we stick it to the stateroom wall with a magnet, for easy reference.

Not true based on our recent cruise on Quest (October). I just took at a look at The Insider from the first day on board, and it only details the buffet for that night. It did note when the White Nights, Chocolate Buffet and Azamazing Evening dates. Each following Insider only noted that night's buffet feature.
Also did not have any of the other information noted above - changes, docking vs. tendering info, arrival/departure times in ports, etc. Important information specifically for that day, yes, but not for the entire cruise.

"Remember, you cannot bring liquor onto a cruise ship."
Not necessarily true. It all depends which cruise line you are sailing.
-
To your point regarding the beds, we find the beds and bed linen extremely comfortable and sleep very well when sailing Azamara. The pillows are also wonderful.
-
While Grand Marnier is not one of the included beverages, Triple Sec is, so with a slight modification, yes, you are in luck.
-
Unfortunately you can't book dining packages on line. You will have to wait until you board to book.

Azamara's loyalty program is Le Club Voyage (LCV). Details here:
-
For us, no need for the lovely extra paper, folder or luggage tags.
-
You can easily print your own Express Pass documents. We never bother with luggage tags as the porters will have ones when you hand over your cases and they simply fill in your cabin number.
-
You can ask when booking your specialty restaurants when the Indian Buffet will be held. I agree, it's a must. Also ask when the Jazz Brunch will be held so you can plan pre/post meals accordingly. It's quite a fantastic spread.
Love the escargots in Discoveries. And really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail a few times this past cruise.
Sushi in Windows is good, as is the selection of salads.
IMO Azamara excels at soup. Every day we had fantastic soup choices in Windows and Discoveries. Don't shy away from the consomme as they are divine.
For breakfast I enjoy the Swiss muesli and various stewed and fresh fruit. The made to order omlettes are always a treat.

Now that I've unconfused myself as I thought there was an article on Marlene in the most recent newsletter and after flipping through the one I received and using the above link provided above, thinking I was crazy not seeing the article...... I've just realized the comment is from a thread started in February 2015.
I think a link to the LCV Newsletter is a great idea.... perhaps a new thread with the month in the title would avoid confusion.
Question About Chefs Table and Dining Package

From the AZ website:

Each theme is a different night, so French one night, Italian another, etc. You will need to ask to see the Cuban menu as it's not listed and would be another night. Number of nights for each can fluctuate based on demand. There is also the Indonesian Rijsttafel which is hosted in the Patio area and I believe the cost is $25.
