Go for it you and your family will have wonderful memories.  We have seen many your age having a great time, we hope to be able to travel at that age.  Airports all have golf carts to drive you from the gate, as some are long walks.  Many passengers never leave the ship and are very happy.

And ensure your travel agent notes on your airline ticket “wheelchair”. Even if you don’t require it during the whole time, many airports are checking boarding passes before you use the golf cart. Can help going through the airport, customs.

I have read some said some noise others no noise.  We moved from deck 8 to 7 because on the Beyond the deck 7 balconies have more shade & we are hoping that will be the same on the Beyond.

Noise from any shows in Eden would most likely end by midnight so for us that s fine.

We were in a  deck 7 sunset Verandah on the.Edge and there was no noise from Eden. It was a great cabin.👍

That is interesting.   Celebrity used to loan wheelchairs to use while on your cruise.   We actually used wheelchairs provided by Celebrity when they were offering them to borrow.  This was a few years ago and then they changed that policy and their wheelchairs were only available for embarking and disembarking.  But it depended on who you talked to....  And sometimes the wheelchair was not in our room as promised.

It is good that you were able to borrow one during your cruise.

I am wondering if this is just on certain ships?

We have a couple of Celebrity cruises booked this year so out of curiosity, I think I will ask if they will provide a wheelchair to use during the cruise.

It would be nice if they would have a consistent policy on this.

Only 1400 passengers  on our cruise so that could be the reason why they  allowed it.

You will need to rent a wheelchair or bring your own.    There are a couple of companies spoken of often on Cruise Critic that rent wheelchairs (specialneedsatsea.com and scootaround).   They rent worldwide but you may have to contact them and speak to someone if you are renting for a cruise outside the United States.

The only wheelchairs Celebrity has to loan are for embarking and debarking, not for during the cruise.

And as mentioned, be sure to request and use Celebrity's wheelchair assistance for embarking and debarking.

You need to contact Celebrity's Access Department as they will need to know you will be using a wheelchair.

You also might want to hop over to the Disabled Cruise board where this matter has been discussed numerous times:   https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/114-disabled-cruise-travel/

Yes, they do provide wheelchairs for the cruise .. I was provided one for the embarkation, duration and disembarkation on the Edge March 27th sailing  by their Accessibility Dept. We had just previously rented with Scootaround and the Access dept said to cancel that, and they would definitely provide the wheelchair,, and they did. Also, if you do decide to rent from Scootaround there is a nominal insurance which is available for cancelllation and damage. We cancelled and got our money back promptly on our cc.

Please can anyone tell me if Celebrity are able to lend or hire wheelchair on cruise

Yes, they will lend one and there is no need to hire one.We just went through this a week ago on Edge and they were fantastic.  They will have one for you at the pier by the steeveadors and show you to your room. Then they leave a wheelchair in your room for the duration of the cruise to use.   You or your travel agent must call the Celebrity Acessibility dept. prior to your cruise so they have the info and request. Hope this helps🌷

  6. If you do an antigen test at Shoppers Drug Mart or Rexall you will be fine. We tested Thursday evening, flew out the next afternoon and boarded the Edge on Sunday in FLL. The antigen test covered the timelines for both boarding the aircraft at Pearson in Toronto ( one day) and embarking the cruise ship (2 days)

All the vaccines being used in Canada are approved by the WHO.

Even the WHO mentioned that in emergency circumstances the vaccines could be mixed.

It is interesting that technically AZ is being accepted and is not approved by the FDA and the U.S was more than willing to send us millions of doses to help us get our vaccine program up and running at a heightened pace.

I think that you are one of those people that just like to stir the pot but you would be ranting at the top of your lungs if you were the one caught in this dilemma.

I am out of here as I have a vacation to pack for.

Ontario has a watermarked vaccine certificate which is accessible for free from the official site and accesses your vaccine records. Difficult to forge.

    Accepted for travel.

IMO Trudeau will follow what Biden does. Trudeau has already stated that a vaccine passport would be divisive. Public sentiment will change his mind.

Any Canadians cruise or travel fully vaccinated with mixed vaccines?  Most of my family is now fully vaccinated (Pfizer/Moderna).  We didn't have much choice in Ontario as they are holding Pfizer for the 12-17 year olds.  We weren't willing to wait to see if we get more Pfizer.  It seemed the safest decision was to get it done ASAP.   We have a cruise booked October 24.  We know Royal has announced they consider mixed doses fully vaccinated but I'd love to hear if anyone who is mixed vaccinated has actually traveled and had no problems.

    Thanks in advance!

We are the same re. 2 vaccines- Pfizer and Moderna. Would also love to hear of anyone’s experiences.

  12. Oh brother, that's right, let people enjoy what they enjoy.... Personally enjoy Caribbean lobster well over Maine lobster. Much sweeter.

    Steak? On a cruise ship?

Only those who live in Texas or some midwestern states have had REAL steak...why eat what was probably frozen on a cruise ship?

The above comment is just as ridiculous and pompous as the lobster comment.

I have no idea what the OP is thinking.... lots of people have no access to lobster EXCEPT frozen, and at that, it is usually too pricey for them.

Let people enjoy what they enjoy... what's it to you?
