  1. We have always done the early 6pm traditional dining. Our next cruise in April we thought we would try 8:15 late traditional dining.

What is your opinion? Can you make it to the shows, entertainment and movies with a late seating? We don't usually stay up late at night.

Or is it a juggling act to see the entertainment? Do one show then rush to dinner. Then try to catch another show after dinner? Hard or not?

    Any suggestions from your experiences?

  2. They need to improve the coffee. At the buffet lines offer self serve drinks. Especially juice. We went on Carnival this year. They have better coffee.Tasted fresh brewed not the syrup mixture that Princess uses. Also we liked serving ourselves the drinks especially the juice. Princess pours juice in the glasses. They tend to be warm not cold juice this way. Carnival also has self serve ice cream at the buffet.

Yes I agree the bathrooms are tiny. Carnival showers were huge compared to Princess.

  3. We have been there twice. We are going on a Carnival cruise in a few weeks. Looking forward to going there again. We absolutly love this place! They used to film the Coors Beer commercial here. The mexican buffet lunch is wonderful! Last time we layed on a lounge chair. They brought us all the drinks we wanted! There is some nice hammocks also. I highly recommend this. We went on the 45 minute boat tour. I do not like the more expensive twister. A fast bumpy speed boat. Not for me. A beautiful peaceful lovely beach. Just what you imagine a Carribbean beach should be like in your dreams. Please find a way to do this. I had to make Princess offer this as an excursion. They did a lot went there. Call your cruise ship line and ask for it.

  4. We have always sailed on Princess. We are going on Paradise in Sept. Have not done Carnival in 7 years. I do not understand FFTF for $50

Seems like a waste of money. On Princess you go right to your cabin as soon as you board. Your luggage arrives fairly quickly. Carnival does not do this automatically? You can't go right to your cabin like on Princess? Why not? No one is in your cabin. It is yours as soon as you get onboard.

  5. What do you think of an angled balcony room on the Royal Princess?

Never had a balcony before. Do you think you would see more or less of the view? It looks like the angle would cause you to view other balcony rooms as well. Do you think they would be covered by the room above it?

  6. We were on the Crown Plaza deck Cant remember the room. But just past the International Cafe several rooms down the hall. An inside.

We heard loud banging noises early morning. Say 3-5 am

I read on cruise critic others heard this also. Maybe the crew on the deck below? Woke us up every morning.

Loved the location on the Plaza deck. Just not the early am wake up noise!

  7. I have arthritis. Not as bad as some of you do. But going up and down stairs is hard. I can still do it. But I take my time. My questions are while you are on the ship. First you have the muster drill. They force you to use the stairs. I insisted I needed to use the elevator. What do you do? Then all over the ship there is stairs to climb. When you go to a show in the theater. We go on Princess. They have a wonderful adult sanctuary area we book. But to get there is hard. Go to the Lotus Spa. Out the door around the pool then up a flight of stairs. Then to get food and drink at the Lido deck you go around the sun deck and down a steep flight of stairs. So what do you do while onboard the ship? If go in a port and have to do a tender ship then you have short stairs to get into the ship. On and on problems for us with arthritis. As mine gets worse as I age what do you older ones do? I am 55 now.
