I had the same situation with the Panorama in Long Beach, CA.  When I got off the ship, the porter had no idea which shuttle bus we needed.  He asked and no one knew.  He dropped us off at one shuttle and abandoned us.

I kept asking and was finally directed to a particullar shuttle.  Then a Carnival employee moved us to another shuttle.  And then back again.  A complete clusterf***.  But we finally were shuttled to the correct parking structure.

Try to enjoy your last day and try to keep calm!

Did you what parking structure you park? Because I don’t

I recall our Uber driver said there is another lot not to far from the port. They shuttle passengers when the 1st lot is filled. Port workers should have info when you get back. I really don't think anyone at guest services on the ship would have any info

They don’t they are trying to find out only because I’m not letting go. I thought that when they sent disembark information they would include something for this group of people I’m not alone so I hope it will work out. When I wrote I was hoping someone else in my ship who parked like me will read it and reply.

thanks for the tip that Uber knows about this other lot.

Did you get charged when entering the lot?  Perhaps you can find the name of the lot on your credit card app.

No, the ship charged me. They said they received a list. Like now they trying to find out. I thought they will let us know but if I didn’t ask I’m “on my own “ maybe their will be shuttle I can only hope 🙏

Gust relation don’t know anything.

Correct on all points. Just make sure to check and see if turning on airplane mode turned off your wifi function. If so, just turn that back on. Some phones do, some don't. (AND test your wifi calling at home before you leave. )

Thanks soooooo much. I have bought the wi-fi now. I will keep on checking on the ship to make sure my wi-fi calling is on. I so appreciate your help.

Thanks for jumping in there! I was fairly certain that it worked both ways but I did not have any first-hand experience with it and didn't want to give bad info.

So if I’m on a single phone I can receive a call thru wi-if calling. I will not be changing from phone to phone. So please confirm for me as I’m old and don’t know much about these things. I will turn my phone to wi-if calling when I’m home and this will allow me to call out and receive a call the regular way without any charges. Also will have the phone on an airplane mode connected to the ship internet. I appreciate it so much

DON'T go off of airplane mode!  There should be no reason to do so.  If you receive a call it *should* show on your screen...as long as that number is in your contacts.

WhatsApp is certainly an option...but @SCX22 is correct in suggesting the use of WiFi calling.  Just make sure that you have it set up and tested *before* you leave home.  Turn on wifi calling, turn on airplane mode then check to make sure airplane mode did not turn off wifi.  (It sometimes does...just turn wifi back on if so.)  Then make a phone call while at home.  It should go right through.

I have used WhatsApp many times when trying to communicate with my so (who has iPhone.)  I have an Android.  It's the only way that we've figured out to do a video call between phone platforms similar to FaceTime.  Works great.  It even allows you to text BUT...the other person has to have WhatsApp as well.  That's not always a sure thing, so you might ask those who you are most likely to want to call (or whatever) to install WhatsApp on *their* phone.  That's kind of a big ask, though.  Both my son and I are pretty tech savvy, so it's no big deal to us.

I just tried it and it worked. Didn’t even know I have Wi-Fi calling and what the reason of it. Can I also receive a call same way ? Do I

All you have to do is turn on your Wi-Fi calling on your phone.  When you are at sea with no cell signal, connect to MedallionNet and turn off airplane mode.  Go to your phone settings to verify that your phone is connected to the Verizon WiFi Celluar Network, and it's just like you are on land at home.  The plan you have at home is what will be followed.  You can call any US number, landline or cell.   You can't make calls to Europe, for example, without incurring the long distance charges because as I stated before, it's your US plan that will be followed.  Texts will also go through.  To emphasize, make sure that the Cellular on your phone is connected to Verizon WiFi.  If not, you will incur roaming charges which are sky high while on a cruise ship.

  9. Hi all, I plan to buy a Wi-Fi next time I cruise. I would like to know how can I make a phone call to  another cell phone? Do I need to use what’s up app? I know of people who were on the ship and when they called it came up as regular call. Also will I be able to receive a call? If they place a regular cell phone to cell phone call? One more thing please. If I take off the airplane mode just long enough just to see who called will it be expensive? I have Verizon for my cell phone.

    thank you

If you look at my profile you will see that I got a 'reminder' years ago. That was for posting the name of an agency. When i first got it, they sent me a nasty message saying if I did it again that I would be barred from cruise critic !

SO....my suggestion is to just google internet travel agency's.

I am sure within the first half dozen you will find one that can help you out.

    Thank you

I use a big internet travel agency.

Just enter all the cruise info.....date, ship, etc.

then I click on the particular category cabin....inside,outside,balcony, etc.

then it will show every cabin available in that category AND location !

By any chance can you message me the agency because I don’t think we can post it. Thanks

  12. Hi

does any one know if Princess will have any ship with round trip out of Los Angeles in the later part of 2025. I read that the Discovery is going to Australia. So I wonder if we will have any other ship ?

  13. I’m still not able to have the app work for me. I called Princess few time and no one have any idea what to do. I created an account by using my name and created password the next thing it said to confirm my account and I recived an Emil WITH MY UPCOMING BOOKING NUMBER. I didn’t see any cruise company to pick from. So bad. I bought my stock at $60 per share now all of this. While I have the app I admit I’m no computer smart and have no help. What do I do?? Give it up?? Is that what they hope some of us to do ???

@racj846Regarding your above post.  Did you send your information via email to stockperks or to the regular/old princess email for SHB?  I still cannot get the stockperks app to work on my iphone.  Have done everything, turned phone off and back on again, deleted the app and reinstalled.  I have the latest update on my phone installed.  I even changed my password but the app still won't open after I put in my email and password.  I emailed my request for the SHB to the regular Princess email address several days ago and have not gotten a response as some people here are saying they are getting.  Thank you for your assistance.

It is indeed a very frustrating experience. Did you try the phone number to pay by credit card? That would seem to be the easiest but they list three different extensions to to pay and probably answer none of them.

I did no one answer these extensions the thing is once it’s even paid how will I know they cleared the matter???? Will they write what if they don’t??? I was hoping I can get some answers here other people went through the same thing
