  1. Ok, question for all the seasoned Mediterranean travelers..........what is embarcation like in Europe? We will be getting on the Epic in Barcelona. Is it like in FL with a large terminal or more like a hotel check in? Also, are we able to walk on with our luggage or are there porters available? Last, as a newbie to NCL, what about lifeboat drills etc as we are boarding passengers in a variety of ports? Are they done the same way as in the states or is it at one's own option ?

Thanks for any and all info

  2. Just had to weigh in about the arcade. On our last cruise, our 14 yr old figured out that after we had said no charging on his card, he convientely lost his sea pass and was issued a new one. The new one wasn't locked (hmm...) anyway by the time we had caught it , over 270 dollars had been used to play video games in the span of an hour and a half. Had called RCCL about this and they said they were looking into it. So Parents, check your kids cards. We ended up putting a cash deposit on both of our kids cards. That worked

  3. Hi,

We were on the SS Antoinette for a Christmas Market cruise. Having done over 11 ocean cruises on a variety of lines, here is my take on the food. Uniworld is quality, not quantity. As mentioned before, there are 3 meals and tea. Now, that being said, there were also special meals for while we were cruising, a special brunch of local delicacies and the welcome/departure brunch also. There is not the selection that there is at sea but the quality was much better. The choice of white or red wine/beer for meals was great also. There was also 24/7 coffee and cookies as well as Glug wine in the lounge. You will not go hungry

  4. I too remember "the closets" on the Norway. In 1989, one of my friends and I did a cruise on the Norway. It was awesome. Yes, our room was cramped. I remmber having to crawl over the bed to get to the bathroom but we had the time of our lives. I remember buying a cockyail dress in blue to match the color of the ship
