That's weird I see it under dining when I log in. I'm staying in a suite is that the difference.

All yummy...

I love food porn. I'll be on the Pearl in June so, I'll post my pictures then.

Omgosh... I've been researching this question all day. So, where is the pre-cruise reservation section? Is it available so many days out from your cruise?

Sorry to hijack this thread but I was wondering if one of the suite perks is advance reservations in the specialty restaurants? If yes, when are we allowed to make the advance reservations? Thanks!

Would this even be worth it for Pearl cruises to Alaska? We have 3 late night ports in Juneau, Skagway and Victoria. I was thinking of doing MDR those nights or on land or some sort of quick service. Realistically I'd only want to do 4 nights in a specialty restaurant. Are they going to offer smaller packages for these types of cruises?

Can you post a link? I tried to search both here on CC and google and I'm coming up with nothing. There is already a long thread about it here on NCL board with link to and text contents from the FAQ and pretty much every imaginable question that has risen in the last few weeks since the info came. No, everybody in the cabin doesn't need to purchase. -
Disney charges more because they can. We love Disney cruises but we are going to try something different for Alaska and sail NCL. Our last 6 cruises were Disney. So, this will be an adjustment. One reason we picked NCL as it sails out of Seattle which works better in our schedule. I won't know until June if I made the wrong decision but I'm looking to go to new ports and Disney just doesn't have the variety anymore. So, I'm going to have to jump ship lines. I was able to get a Suite on the Pearl facing FORWARD for about the same price as a Verandah on the Disney cruise. I really wanted my own private place to view the glacier at Glacier Bay and all the trip reports for Disney cruises people were either fighting for a spot and had to hold it for a long period of time or they were super cold. Even though, I'm paying the same price for the suite vs Verandah, I'm getting a better cabin on NCL though. The suites on Disney are double in price compared to NCL. I'm really bummed to miss all the character photo ops in their Alaskan Clothes. There are tons of pros and cons to all ship lines. You just have to find the one you can live with.

Wow, you were busy yesterday. I'm happy Nativeways made it up to you from your last trip. I used them for a trip in 2004 when my daughter was about to turn 3 years old a week after our trip but Disney wouldn't let her participate because of her age. It was the first time I booked a non-ship excursion. I've been hooked ever since. Our tour didn't include rum point or food. Anyways.. Keep sharing.

I love your review and pictures. I'm a picture person. I've been sitting here all night reading reviews so don't stop.

Great review and appreciate you taking the time to post especially during this busy time. Did you by chance take a picture of the menus? I really liked how all the docs are in google. I'll have to remember that next time. We will be sailing the Pearl in June to Alaska.

I can't see your pictures and when I click the links I get an error message

Hope you are having a great trip. I can't wait to read the review when you return.

Just caught up, first so sorry to her about Milo. Pets always hold a special spot in my heart.
Second, loved your sail away pictures. I've never seen what was around port as we are always at the sail away party.
Last, your underwater pictures of castaway cay look very nice. I will have to check out that camera.
Thanks for taking the time to share your trip with us.

Great start. I'm so happy you are reviewing my favorite line. I've been on 6 Disney cruises. I know others have been on way more but I've done the Baltics and Med. with Disney. So, I'm excited to hear your opinion of it. We've done both the Fantasy and Dream and loved it especially the decor. Just amazingly bright. Thanks for taking the time to review.

Hi Gambee, I just spent the last week reading your reviews every night before going to bed. Thanks so much for all your hard work. It drives my family crazy with all the pictures I take on vacations so it was refreshing to read someone else with the same likes.
One question I had that you mentioned over the years you sold and bought cameras; may I ask who you sold them to? Camera stores? eBay? Craigslist?
Thanks,
Tina

Thanks for posting. We aren't cruising until next year but very useful.
So, I noticed the "main" shows are at 7 pm or 10 pm. How did you time around the meals? I know we'll want to see Blue Man group and possibly the Cirque Dreams & Dinner Show. When did you go to the shows? I'm thinking with my kids even though they are older we'll need to see the earlier shows. Can you have dinner at 5 pm or earlier? Thanks for any tips.
