I was on the same cruise, on the same deck in an interior and this was one of my all-time favorite cruises. I wish I were still on it.

I ran into the hoards of kids a few times, like 2AM the lady night of the cruise in the International Cafe.

Of course one of the best parts of the 3/29 sailing was meeting JasonTheGreat! :)
The soap and shampoo/conditioner worked just great for me. :)
Aww thanks. It was nice meeting y'all too.

Details about buying wine by the bottle at happy hour. It's been posted that there is a happy hour in the wheelhouse and one late in sky walker. And that you can buy one bottle and get one free to take to the dining room. I would like know if that's true on the Emerald and what bottles are available just a few or most of the ones offered by the glass.
Also are they collecting corkage after security before entering the ship.
Have a great time!
I'm not sure about buying a bottle in the bar, but it's possible. I do know if you bring a bottle to the dining room they'll charge a corkage fee. There was a table to collect it at check-in but I'm not sure they did.

I'm back home now and will be replying to everyone tonight. I will say this was probably one of my all time hottie favorite cruises.

OK as far as the crystal ship model goes they do have one for $122.00. It is also 10% off on the first night and 10% off for elite.

Ok everyone, I'll be sailing on Emerald Princess March 29 through April 5th.
Is there anything you'd like to know about the ship, ports, etc? I'll try and find answers to all the questions I can.
Thanks,
Jason

Not that it's a certainty but some companies (employers) will refund a cruise in this instance. I worked for a major health insurance company and we had to cancel vacation time for an employee for urgent business needs. The employee was reimbursed 100% by the company and allowed to substitute any time they wanted to make it up. I also believe they paid a small ($250-500) "bonus" to try and make-up for it.

We'll be staying at Best Western, free shuttle from airport. Around $100/night

Isn't that where you can swim with a Jaguar? I've never been but have thought about it. Input would be appreciated.

There are lots of TAs breaking the law then.;)
It's not a law, just Royal Caribbean will ban that TA of they find out.
We tried to book a friend from London and the TA sent us a copy of the policy. It was very clear.

US based travel agents are forbidden from booking guests who are not residents of US, Canada or Mexico. They shouldn't even be giving you pricing if you are not a resident of North America.

I'm hoping to do Chef's Table while on the cruise
-
I was on last February and had a decent cruise overall, but was very disappointed with handling of a Chef's Table reservation. That being said it was the best meal I've ever had (once we got there).

I think it will work out just fine. I'm a little nervous but also excited.

I'll start today. I need to dry clean my suit. I really should have bought a new one but oh well.
Trying to moderate spending because I have 2 more after this one within 6 months.

I'm doing my first solo soon and choose second seating in the MDR. I think the buffet would be a little more awkward sitting alone.

6 days to go!

I'll be on in September :/

I also agree with the Twitter tactic, that may help with Hilton too. It's not blackmail, it's "free-market economics" at its best. When the public become aware of a disagreeable decision of a company they make it known and let the company decide how to proceed. Just like when the story broke that Progressive defended a man in court who had killed their client in an accident so that they would not have to pay on her policy. They took much heat and suffered financially for it. They also settled the claim.

Here's that thing: despite what the two "people" on here would like, companies do sometimes show compassion. They have a sense of social responsibility.
It's bad for business to be the company that charges a deceased couple for a cruise they will never take while depriving their surviving children of money they likely need very desperately. This is NOT a case of canceling because they have an ear ache or because they can't get off work.

I'm sorry, but how would a missing person reply to Guest Services???? And there are always the winged out ones who don't follow directions.
Whoever is unaccounted for is the missing one. That's how they confirm who is missing.

Agree this is an awful situation, and I dread to think what the parents are currently feeling.
I only mentioned convening at muster station as technically that is the convening point for emergencies, and is specicifically set up to take roll in an organized and quick manner. I also appreciate that going to cabins is less stressful for passengers, I just felt that it may be more time consuming.
Whilst I am glad 2 of the 3 missing people have been accounted for, I still pray for the 16 year old.
You can't listen for a person in the water with thousands of people on deck making noise.

Did you check the gift order form?
I'll be on Emerald for the 3/29 sailing, anyone have any questions?

I know! I'm depressed we aren't there with our group. We should go find Mark and Ben in NOLA.
