so, still kinda on suite perks/haven perks topic...

For people in the Haven, with the UBP, I know that if the butler brings drinks, there's a charge, but if you order through the courtyard valet, is that still a charge? Or is that part of the UBP?

We went to the regular Latitudes party on the Jewel - I had about 4 rum punches in the hour we were there, and didnt even get a buzz, which is saying something b/c normally, I dont drink. They did give away some nice prizes, though - jewelry, OBC, massages, ect. And lots of bottles of champagne.

We were in a minisuite on the Jewel in March.

We had our 2 kids (6 and 3) with us, they slept on the sofabed.

With the sofabed pulled out, there was ZERO room to walk or stand ANYWHERE except the entryway and the balcony. TO walk between the bed and the sofa, we literally had to "ootch" sideways, and walking between the sofabed and the desk wasnt any better. It was a LITTLE wider between the edge of the bed and the wall, but not by much.

We will not be doing that again. It was not worth it for a tub. I ended up taking the 3 yo in the shower with me because the side of the tub was too high to do a tub bath for her. We have a 2 br Family Suite in the Haven for next march on the Jade, and if we decide the Haven/suite life isnt worth the $$$ after that, I'd book 2 adjoining before doing a minisuite with 4 again. JMHO.

And no, we got no suite perks for being in a mini suite. We did get the Latitudes perks and things I purchased (well, obviously), like the Spongebob bedding for the kids and the Bon Voyage decorations and cake (kids first cruise).

Just got off the Jewel last month, the only time we were able to hear the announcements in our cabin (mini suite) was for 1) the lifeboat drill and 2) when 2 teenagers went missing overnight. (they were eventually found. Nobody fell overboard or anything, though I would bet that they got a bit less freedom after that).

My family and my parents are both in suites for our next cruise. We are in the Haven, they are in a suite in another location (deck 8 aft) on the Jade.

If we wanted to dine all together in one of the suites one night, how would that work? We are in a family villa.

Also, would my Mom be able to join me for afternoon tea in the Haven/my room? Or would she have to take her tea in her suite? Im confused as to how all this works. Thanks.

I'm a little confused how the points will work on our next cruise. I should have 21 so far, once they merge my 3 Latitudes accounts (don't get me started, I hate name changes). We booked an H4 on the Jade for next spring break. My understanding is we get 7 from the nights of the cruise, 7 additional for being in a suite AND 7 more for booking more than 9 mo in advance? It sounds a little crazy to go from 21 to 42 points in 1 seven day cruise.

Am I undestanding this correctly?

Why would you ever pay the price for the Haven. I can go on a luxury line for the price you pay for the Haven.

well, we just got back from a minisuite on the Jewel, and Im NOT doing that again with small children (3 and 6). So, we have booked The Haven for next year. The luxury lines are not equipped for kids.
