Has anyone seen/heard anymore about the updates going on there?

    A few updates.

Does MSC have any tenders on this itinerary?

    Getting conflicting info

Not on this itinerary.  Where are you hearing different?
Nassau Dominican Republic and San Juan. Are docking ports.

  3. My review of Seashore February 18-29.

    Embarkation
Arrived by shuttle service.  Quick  check in at tent.  Once though security was escorted to the check in area.  Very crowded and noisy.  Did not like the process of agents walking around with wristbands and iPad calling out names and numbers.  Hard to hear.  Much prefer the counters with agents calling up guests as they finish with each guest.  It may have just been like this due to the time of my arrival. Butlers escorted a few at a time onboard and to the topsail. Must say that with a fully booked YC it was very crowded and noisy. But as days went by it seemed to be less noticeable.
It was a wonderful family reunion with so many of my MSC family in the terminal and in the Topsail

    Stateroom
Interior 16019 turned out to be a bad location under the YC kitchen area.  Each night and even during the day loud heavy noises   Interfered with sleep so much by the third morning I went to concierge. No other cabins available to be moved.  William, Christian, and Bianca were very sympathetic but nothing could be done to place me in another location. So even with earplugs I was denied a good nights sleep.  They did speak with the kitchen crew and noise was less for a few nights. I would not recommend this location to light sleepers like myself. I immediately cancelled the same cabin and
rebooked for my upcoming May cruise to a different cabin.  Hopefully it won’t happen again.

    Butler and Jr Butler
OomahPultee and Ari Sagita did an outstanding job talking care of cabin and supplied all special requests. When I became sick with laryngitis, they showed much concern and took extra care to provide great advice   Ari is very dedicated to performing his job and has great people skills.  I’d highly recommend him for advancement.

    Dining Room
Embarkation day is always hectic and this one was even more so!  Fully booked YC resulted in under staffed situation. Crew from One Pool were finally called up to help.
Matri D did an excellent job handling each day I was there for dinner and lunch.
Hostess Ciera handled sitting each guest promptly. And she had a very cheerful personality.
My main server for dinner  was John and his assistant was Wartawan. What a great team! Cheerfully delivered each order as specified.
Wine selections were expertly handled by Rodin and Edison
During lunches I had wonderful service from Manuel and Eblyn. Always ready with suggestions and fulfilled my requests promptly.
    Food selections were mostly
Good for me.  Taste is a very subjective issue. If I didn’t like what I saw my to go to dish was pasta. Chef Faiyaz Shaikh always provided my
Special requests and even made several special dishes for our enjoyment.

    Topsail
After first day, the bartenders knew my morning request and it was provided very quickly.
The lounge butlers, Ekta,  Lucky, Ariann, were fantastic. Always smiling and making sure I was well taken care of.  Also the regular butlers working in the lounge were very attentive.
Loved the selection of snacks available all day long.  Especially the different flavors of the potato chips.
The entertainment in the lounge was very good. And a good assortment of musicians and singers.
I must say this was the best cruise I’ve had that was so easy for making new friends while in the lounge. I really appreciated those of you who knew me from our Facebook group coming up to introduce yourself. I won’t try to name you all as I may leave someone out.  It really enhanced my cruise. You know who you are and I hope our sea paths cross again soon.

    Entertainment
Wow  what a breath of fresh air is the cruise director, Endrigo!! So much energy and liked how he interacted with the guests.  He has brought life to the Seashore experience.
Shows were so well done.  Talented singers and dancers and awesome costumes.

    Disembarkation

I left YC after most were off ship and was escorted to security and quickly out of terminal to wait for shuttle services.

Looking forward to returning to Seashore in May and December with my son.

    😁

I brought up the subject, on our October sailing, at the Diamond Event, of a higher tier having not materialised, despite promises over the years.  Later that day I received a gift of a model of the ship (Musica) signed by the captain.  Was told I was the first one to ever receive a signed one.

Maybe first one from that particular Captain but I have two models signed by several officers

We sail on our first MSC cruise one week from today but we will not be stopping at Ocean Cay unfortunately.  I have heard both good and bad things but we like to experience things for ourselves before passing judgement.

Which ship is not stopping at Ocean Cay?

Thanks for your review and pictures. Do you recall if the YC grill was open on embarkation day or is lunch in dining room only option in YC on embarkation day? Thanks.

    Weather permitting both are open.

Juan has done a good job. He was also a server at Ocean House yesterday so we have spent some time with him. Our cabin is 16039. Great layout and it feels really big compared to interiors on RCCL.

Glad you’re enjoying getting to know Juan Carlos. I’ll be in 16019. I think it’s at the other end from yours.  Hate you missed the light show but yes many videos of it.  Have you posted pictures of your stateroom?  Hope the rest of your cruise is fantastic.   Enjoying your reports.

  8. MandyMooToo, I’ve had Juan Carlos as butler a few times.  He’s very good. A little quiet but once you interact with him he’s very personable.  Please give him my best regards   I hope he’ll still be there when I sail  in February

Also what is your cabin number? I’m also in an interior. Thanks.

Waiting on the shuttle to the port now. Reading reports from B2Bs that there are still “hundreds of people in the buffet waiting to get off” so it may be a bit before anyone boards. No worries here, we aren’t in the predicted snow storm at home so we are good!

Look forward to seeing your comments and reviews of your cruise. I’ll be there in February.  Hope you have a wonderful cruise.

Resident artist Luke(vocalist), put on a good experience (show) this evening all Billy Joel tunes. Difference is audience was invited to dance like in Le Cabaret Rouge and they did.

In November there was lots of dancing including some of the hosts. Fun to watch.
