Outrageous. This behavior is becoming more and more common in the cruiseline industry.

Nothing. I have one left. One more and I'm done. They've priced me out.

I would go Adventure. I had a great time on that ship. I generally have a better time on Royal Caribbean than carnival. Plus you get an extra cruise day. Bermuda is very beautiful and you can't go wrong with at St. Martin. Although Aruba is beautiful, DR and curacao are just okay.

I fly to FLL to go to a cruise out of Miami a lot. Last year my Lyft ride was only $20. I don't mind flying into fort Lauderdale but I prefer to leave out of MIA. The hotels can be cheaper in Fort Lauderdale depending on what time of year you cruise if you prefer to stay near the ocean. I'm flying into Fort Lauderdale again in December but the Escape is going out of Miami. It's not a big deal. It's like a 20 minute ride. I do agree though. I wouldn't partake in the free airfare ever. I like to book my own airfare. Hope everything works out for you.

Breakaway. I prefer the room layout and prefer the beaches on that itinerary. Grand Caymans has that white sand and crystal clear water and I like the cruise ship private islands. Great stirrup cay is relaxing and the Bahamas has that really blue water I enjoy.

Is a cruise worth it?
Yes. It's amazing and addictive.

I don't care either way. On my last cruise random couples would show up here and there through out the week. Usually just one couple at a time. On the last night everyone showed up for some reason. I prefer to have the bread and butter all to myself. So then I have to slow it down...
-
I would do itinerary one. I prefer those islands and you won't be disappointed. I've been to all the islands except for Tortola and Grenada. I wouldn't choose a cruise just to go to either of those islands though. There's no wrong decision.

It depends. I booked a sail away cabin last year for my December cruise and was assigned within a couple of days. I make random installment payments so that doesn't have to do with anything. Another time I booked a sail away cabin and wasn't assigned until around 60 days before the cruise.
I just randomly checked here and there...

Leave as a bed. That way the person who is using it as a bed has a place to take a nap during the cruise with pillows and blankets all set up. Never know when someone is not feeling good or is just tired. Better to have it out.

Apples and oranges...the OP booked under a special offer that expired
Most cruise lines allow people to upgrade and pay more for a different cabin up until 2 days before sail date. I would be confused too and I've cruised 5 different lines.
-
I've been there once. Next time I'm staying on the ship. I try not to book a cruise that goes there.
-
I upgraded my cabin about a month ago and did not have to rebook. I am booked as a past guest still outside of final payment and I didn't have a problem. They used the current prices.

What type of a cruise were you on that you found the M6 too windy? (Transatlantic, Baltic, Caribbean or ???)
Caribbean, end of November like 5 years ago.

It was windy and the ship had a lot of movement in the front. I barely used it. I've booked another one for December.

Hi
I understand taste is subjective, but I can't help but chuckle. "Literally tasted like dirt"... that's pretty clear. You paid a fair amount for the meal... the chefs are there... they served you. Did you ask someone about it, they would have tried a mouthful of your "dirt". There can be a real problem with any given dish. You have to speak up. This is a dinner with several courses, did you feel they were all crap?
Personally I enjoyed my meal (that was a number of years ago), but that means nothing for the OP. I don't know what they like. I probably won't do it again.
It was the red beet square type dish. The lady next to me only ate one piece as well, three pieces were served. It was not delicious. Some of the items were good like the bread, mango sphere, and dessert. The wagyu beef at the end tasted like pot roast which is fine but it didn't blow my mind. I had stomach issues after that meal that prevented me from enjoying the rest of the food on my cruise. I didn't feel normal after that experience for about a month. I was fine until I attended that meal.
-
I didn't think the food was that good. Not worth it. I'm more into Rachael Ray then Michelin Star. One of the dishes served looked beautiful but literally tasted like dirt. I was sick for days after that meal. I think I got food poisoning because I was fine until I left that dinner. Never again.

I would rather be on a cruise ship in an inside cabin than not cruising at all. I've been on all types of cabins. I'm sure you will miss the balcony but you'll be fine and excited about the cruise when the time comes. You'll still have fun. Go for it!
-
Not anymore. I book and sometimes cancel cruises because I shop around. The true excitement starts when I'm boarding the ship. That's when I know it's real.

They are very aggressive. We paid them too. They were kicking so many people off the chairs. We had no idea. Thanks for the post.

2 on a five day cruise

I've sailed all three. They are all similar. No set dining with NCL. More restaurants for a fee. But other than that, very similar. Every ship is a different experience, even with the same cruise line. There will be trivia, games, parties, karaoke. NCL has more technology. You can book reservations, see activities, and view your cruise balance on the television. They have interactive guides near the elevators. If you like Carnival, you'll like NCL. It's a better cruise experience.

You're going to be fine. I have no intention of booking any ship on Carnival's fleet past the Breeze. I dislike how they have segregated people with Havana rooms by giving them an Aft pool and hottubs. The Aft area is the best and I think every paying customer on the ship should have access to all those areas. Put the segregated area on a top deck that people don't normally access. I'm getting tired of exclusives areas that are being sectioned off by these cruise lines. That's just my personal opinion. I'm not jealous. I could book a Havana cabin but it's getting out of control. The aft pool did it for me.

They are understaffed. Every time I call, morning, noon, or night there are long holds. I've never waited that long though. Sometimes I just give up. At times I'm so frustrated with the long holds.
Who feels good about an oct start date?

I canceled my October Breeze cruise this past weekend. Final payment was coming up. With Covid cases rising all over the country, we decided to pull the plug because we aren't interested in a cruise to no where and don't want to risk having to quarantine for 14 days for our jobs. Most Caribbean islands looks like they need an anti body test 72 hours before arrival and also we don't want to get stuck on a ship they may not let us off when the cruise is over. Wearing a mask all day is too hot. It just doesn't make sense to go. October isn't that far away so it seemed like the writing was on the wall. We rebook for next year, same cruise but now on the Freedom. Disappointed but than 2020 has been one big letdown.
