  1. I faxed in my stock certificate this past Monday the 26th. As of today i had not received the OBC. I called and they said that they are just now dealing with Sept 22 and to give them a few days.

Oh well. Will see what happens by next Monday. Never had them take this long. Must be a lot of people that now own stock!

This makes me not worry as much! I also faxed in mine on the 26th!

  2. I have done many upsells in fact usually book the cheapest room and wait for them but have never had to leave a voice mail usually get an agent right away

I have been lucky enough to get the email twice! Both times I had to leave a voice mail and both times I got the call back the next morning!

  3. We were on the December 6th sailing and Inside Out, The Martian, The Man from U.N.C.L.E and various football games were on Muts in the evening. Only saw the Martian (it was excellent) but people got there very early for the movie, like 45 minutes. People were showing up for the next movie before our movie was even over!

  4. This is why you shouldn't leave your towels, bathing suits, and hand laundry on the balcony....a stray ember could have been bad news!

OMG! You reminded me of something. When we were on the top deck at the back of the ship looking down someone had a clothes line strewn with clothes draped across their balcony! I took a picture because I thought it was so funny. Now I realize it could have been not so funny. I'll post the picture once I get home from work.

  5. Were you on the Marina Deck? We were in Baja 734 and experienced very bad Soot but for some reason I associated it with Friday night, not Saturday night but with my AIBP, maybe my days are running into each other.

Anyway, our cabin steward specifically mentioned Marina deck getting the worse of the soot on this particular night.

We were on deck C. Did notice soot was REALLY bad Friday night too.

CruiserBruce I do know the difference between soot and live embers.

  6. So we sailed on the Regal Dec 6-13, 2015. Gorgeous ship, outstanding crew, Captain Perrin is a gem, Cruise director Paul is hysterical and deputy cruise director Lynne is so cute you could just eat her up.

Took advantage of an upsell offer from a mini suite to an aft owner suite, how lucky were we!! Love love loved it!

So here the incident: Saturday at about 9 pm we were on our balcony having dinner and I see some LIVE EMBERS flying passed us and all around. Both hubby and I were stunned for a sec. It looked like they were coming from the horizon court. As one morning we woke up half a cigar dropped on our balcony I just assumed someone was smoking. Then I smelled fire. Hubby runs inside to call 911 the embers were flying around like crazy and I'm sure the ship,is going to catch fire. Apparently the 911 number is mainly used for medical emergencies. But the lady said she would report it to the bridge. In the meantime, I'm not moving from the balcony cause I'm sure by me staring at the embers will save the ship! A couple of minutes later a Princess employee is on our neighbors balcony saying he tried to knock on our door but there was no answer. When you are on the balcony it is very hard or impossible to hear anything inside the cabin over the sound of the wake. Anyways, he tried to tell us that it was just smoke from the smoke stack and nothing more when a few embers drifted by he ate those words. As my husband was going into the hall to take with him he met our cabin steward as our neighbors 2 doors down called him. The up shot is about a half hour later another employee knocked on our door to say they "were just doing some routine maintenance and everything was under control". Not sure what kind of maintenance you would be doing an a ship that involved fire but we are still here so it was just an exciting night, thankfully.

    Anybody every experience this?

  7. I confess, I know I am just a terrible person, but I have worn jeans on formal night. Very dark wash skinny leg with a black long flowy top and black ballet flats. I normally wore black leggings with the long flowy top but I had washed them the day before and they simply were not quite dry. Once I made it to my table I sat in the back in a corner so people couldn't see from the sides, and nobody noticed a thing.

So now a found a pair that have a lovely damask tapestry weave in cream on blue. I have a nice cream lacy top that I will wear with pearls, and cream lacy flats. Should I give it a try on the next cruise?

    Linda

Nobody should put Mommypig in a corner!

  8. Have you tried to do a "dummy booking"? If so, will it let you get through the whole process reserving that cabin?

If it does, then you may want to call Princess back... Just to be on the safe side.

Can't do that now as website is showing whole cruise is sold out. I was able to do that this a.m. My concern is what happened if someone did book it whilst the error was going on? I'm not sure Princess has any safe checks for double bookings.

  9. I'm freaking out! On the princess web site the caring that I am booked in shows available. Went to my cruise personalized and saw that I was still confirmed in that cabin. Called princess and they don't show it available and said not to worry I have "first dibs" on the cabin. I know she was trying to be funny but it did not relieve my worries that someone can reserve the cabin that I am in. Has anyone boarded an found out that princess double booked their room.

  10. Hi all! Our ship arrives at Port Everglades at 6am and our flight departs Fort Lauderdale at 5pm. None of the ships excursions on the last day are of interest to us. Does anyone know of a hotel by the airport that would rent out a day room. Allowing us to check in around 8am and leave around 330p? Many thanks!

  11. Thank you for the answers!

At the beach stop were you able to have a swim?

    Merci!

You could swim if you want but remember you have to go all the way back in a wet swim suit which would be very uncomfortable. Most people just put their feet in the very very very clear blue ocean!

  12. For,us it was worth the cost which is per dune buggy. We went out on the am run and it had rained the night before so,it was very muddy and you go through puddles and I did get dirty. You end up at a beautifull beach where you have the option of climbing up to the lighthouse. The view and the lighthouse were spectacular. Then a little more time at the beach before heading back. We trul enjoyed ourselves. But there were lots of mosquitos at the beach so I would take with some deet.

  13. HI - we have a cruise coming up soon and did reserve a suite. Since we are a large group of diverse people some wanted early traditional and the others wanted ATD. If you are a suite guest can you get preferred reservations in ATD? I don't want to have to hear complaints from the Traditional people if we have to wait. I personally do not mind a wait (under 30 minutes), you can have a glass of wine or get some sushi or both! But the traditional people deserve respect and I do not want to ruin their cruise experience. Thanks for any help.

Last year when we were in a suite aboard the Ruby somebody from the dining room would call us everyday to see if the could make reservations for us either in the dining room or specialty restaurants. This was the first time that it happened on a consistent basis. Normally we get 1 or 2 or no calls asking to assist us with dining arrangements when we are in a suite.

  14. I need an ink refill for a Princess pen and don't know where to buy.

    It's over 10 years old.

I can't throw it out for sentimental reasons.

It belonged to my DD who passed away several years ago and he loved cruising.

I love the pen as well. --

    Any suggestions?

    Dear. feelin Nauti

I have the same one except it says coral princess. It holds no sentimental value to me and I will gladly send it to you so you can use the refill. I don't know how to send a message privately so if you do just let me know your address and it's yours.

    Sincerely,

    Cathi

  15. I got an email yesterday for an upsell asking to call the number and leave a message. I called yesterday (it was a holiday) and then again this a.m. and still no callback. I don't want to lose on this offer but don't want to wait around all day for a callback. How long does it usually take to get a callback.

My travel agent got the email one afternoon and she called back seconds later & had to leave a voice mail. She got the call back the next morning around 11am.
