  1. On our last cruise, I took 3 classes and really liked 2 of them - Sicilian Cooking and Rock the Wok. I came home and made the Miso glazed salmon and it was excellent if I do say so myself[emoji4].

For me, they were definitely worth the cost. I also learned some basic cooking skills even though I have been cooking for lots of years!

One thing to note- On my recent cruise the classes all filled up on line quickly and there was a wait list by the time we started the cruise.

  2. I understand the benefits of booking a future cruise onboard. My question concerns what happens to this booking once it is transferred to a TA. Does the TA get any commission or do they do further work (airfare deviations, changes etc.) with no compensation? Are there any benefits for the TA assuming the booking?
  3. Thanks everyone for the responses! You have given me hope! As we board our plane for Miami this morning, I am psyched for our cruise start tomorrow! Will see some of you at the M&G this week!

    Go Badgers!![emoji7]

  4. DH and I are avid basketball fans and season ticket holders for Wisconsin Basketball. We leave this Wednesday on the Riviera for the TA cruise. Is there any chance we will be able to see the Wisconsin/Kentucky game while on board?

  5. So the date was February 15th, but the type was black yesterday?

Mike, I don't know what color it was yesterday - I only took note of the February 15th date. The only choice I had was if I clicked on La Reserv or Prive, then there was a choice to make a reservation. This was not available at all on the Specialty Restaurant page- only a long description of the room categories and when one could make reservations.

  6. Have done this multiple times....no link to booking. Just says I have no reservations booked. Must be a website issue. I could book La Reserve, but just not the specialty restaurants.

Maybe tomorrow Mike will be back and will fix it for all of us waiting to add specialty restaurants to our upcoming cruise ;-)

  7. Hey all you HAL cruisers,

I'm new to cruising and haven't been on a HAL cruise yet but would like to do Alaska during the summer of 2015. There are 3 ships , all with great itineraries: Statendam, Oosterdam and Zandam. Which would be your first choice and why?

    Thanks!
