  1. Update: Clara from RCL called and she applied the $200 to my next cruise. took about a week but I did get the $$ I was entitled to. All my issues have been addressed and corrected. too bad I had to chase after them to get them, but thankful that Royal did honor their promotions.
  2. Was on Oasis Sept 25. didn't get compass first day and asked cabin attendant and he couldn't find one for day 1 but brought them every day after. Vision fair. Can't read on the phone. Need paper so I can use my magnifying glass that I bring along. I understand they are trying to cut costs, but not everyone can or wants to carry a phone around all the time. Personally I need to highlight items so I don't forget them.
  3. I have called twice, emailed twice, and documented this in my survey. No response so far from any contact. this is about the $200 credit. Also, about booking the free cruise, update. I Did manage to book a cruise w/JR suite on Harmony out of Miami.. Definitely not the departure port I wanted by we will try to make it work. Better than nothing. Have 6 months to figure out how to get there. I can't fly because of health issues, so it is a challenge. .
  4. Free play is downloaded under promo when you are on the machine. that is different than a transfer from points. from ones account. If you have no points you wont see the option to transfer from points. You will only see the promo option. My issue is about my points, not free play.
  5. Earned over 10,000 points and checked in with casino host on last day. Had $200 in my account. Host said if I did not transfer the money to free play, it would be credited to my final bill. I did not transfer the $$ and it was NOT credited to my account. That is $200! I sat on hold 1 hour 15 minutes when I got my final bill and they were not able to help. Said I had to call again in 48 hours. they already overcharged my discover bill by the $200. sitting on hold again.... I did not have this problem before. My final bill was always credited correctly in the past. I am thinking about called discover and disputing the bill??
  6. Just got off Oasis. Played in casino every night and earned 10,000 points. The current promotion advertises earn 9,000 points for Jr suite w/1,000 free play. Went to next cruise to book and was told no Jr Suites available on the sailing dates the certificate covers going on the Oasis or the Anthem. I asked if I could pay to upgrade and they said there was nothing available. They said the best they could do was downgrade me to a balcony cabin. The current promotion advertises 4,000 points for balcony cabin w/$500 free play. 10,000 points should be worth at least 2.5 balcony cabins! Next Cruise suggested that I go back to casino host and ask them to upgrade certificate so it would include additional dates that might actually have a Jr suite available. I tried that and as expected they said no they could not do that. They said if I couldn't use the certificate I could trade it for $1,500. So Complimentary cruise for 2 in Jr suite w/1000 free play = $1,500 trade in. Really.... The host said there was nothing else they could do and that the supply is very limited. It seems they only offer the dates that are already sold out. why don't they offer more dates where there ARE cabins available? I enjoy playing the slots and I didn't play JUST to earn the points because this happened on my last cruise in May. I knew this probably WOULD happen. But lots of folks out there do NOT know this probably will happen, Wanted to give people a heads up. Better to save your money for local casinos where you can actually collect what you earned on the promotions that you qualify for.

  9. Some of us don't have the luxury of waiting till this is all behind us. Worked over 50 years, never had more than 2 weeks vacation a year. Looked forward to retiring so I would have the opportunity to travel during the other 50 weeks. Retired 2020! had 4 cruises booked. All got cancelled. For people like me, my time is running out. its now or never.... Don't like covid, don't like all the rules, but this the way it is today, whether we like it or not. To each his own. Live and let live... thank you to the people that are kind and try to offer helpful suggestions.
  10. Just off Oasis yesterday. Played in Casino every day and earned 13,000 points. According to sign on Casino Host desk, 10,000 points qualified for free Jr suite and 1,000 free play. On Saturday afternoon certificate was delivered confirming that I earned the certificate and stating the details Junior Suite. It also stated that to QUALITY for the free play, I had to create a reservation while on board via Next Cruise Dept! Didn't know that ahead of time! So we scrambled at last minute to create a book later reservation. The email that came from Next Cruise stated my reservation number and also stated that if I didn't reserve my cruise in next 7 days I would lose my free play offer. But the phone number to call to book as stated on the email. 3059822694 comes up as a non working number and I am unable to reach anyone there. They also said the $200 deposit is non refundable. went online to clubroyaloffers and my offer is not showing up. called club royal and spoke with rep. She was very polite. But she said she couldn't do anything until the certificate was posted to my account and that could take up to 1 week. I will be going into hospital Thursday for Heart ablation, and don't expect to be in a position to deal with this for a week or so after that. Especially since this run a round is so frustrating and stressful. the certificate listed only 2 cruises from NJ to bahamas and they were limited to (Oct only for oasis), and (Oct-Dec for anthem). I went through all the dates that we could possibly go on these cruises and only 1 had a jr suite available. I asked rep if she could hold that room for me until certificate came through and she said it was not available through casino. Even though I was sitting on royal website and it is clearly showing available there. she said the ONLY thing she could do since there were no Jr suites available was to DOWNGRADE me to a spacious balcony. sorry but this is so WRONG. I asked the host while onboard what cruises out of Cape Liberty were available for these offers and he said there are lots to pick from. Only to find that is completely untrue. the fine print on the certificate on the bottom states to go online to view the Complete list of cruises and date options. My only hope is that when the certificate is finally online there will be other dates to choose from that ACTUALLY have a Jr suite. Don't assume you will get what you earned. I have had this happen before with certificates that I was unable to use, but they were 4,800 points and I didn't invest as much time and $$$ to earn them so I wasn't so upset. But this time I really looked forward to the Jr suite and put in many many hours in the casino to earn that. good luck to anyone that tries to use their certificates and I hope it works out OK. but be aware this could happen.
