  1. I had this problem too. This is how I've been getting there, but you'd think it should be easier:

Goto celebritycruises.com. Click sign in and sign in. You should still be on the homepage, but your name will appear in the upper right. Click your name, then click "my tier and points". You'll now be on a page with Welcome [name] and your captains club number. Scroll down and you'll see My Cruises. There will be a "plan my cruise" button that will take you to the planner where you can reserve things.

You can do this from the 'my reservations' page too, but you'll get some prompt that you're leaving 'manage your reservation' or something. Considering these are multibillion dollar companies, you'd think they would have better websites lol.

    the old formal nights

I remember years ago on one of our first cruises headed back to our room still wet from the pool (and maybe a touch daysted) with a towel around my waist standing on the elevator next to someone in a tux lol.

  3. Ship: Scarlet Lady

    Cabin#: 8042Z

    Deck #: 8

Cabin Category: Ltd View Sea Terrace

    Sleeps: 2

    Cabin Location: Starboard, Aft

Terrace/Window/Obstruction: Terrace room, view partially obstructed by lifeboat

Noise Issues?: Room is over one of the interior dock areas, could hear some trivia one night while getting ready for dinner, wasn't a big deal for us.

Wind Issues?: None that I recall

Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: No

    Hammock: Yes

    Metal/Glass Terrace: Glass

Advantages/Problems: We saved ~800 if I remember correctly over a normal sea terrace. You still get natural light and can see the ocean, but that lifeboat is always there.

    Would You Book Again?: Yes

Is there a menu to select from? Assuming you walk around seeing what each station is making, how are you expected to remember the various items you may want?

Yep. There's QR codes at the table you can scan, and the menu shows what's available at all the different spots. I think there's a paper menu as well if you want.

There was one area that was a walk up that I remember that had cut up fruit and dessert items?

  5. midship is generally regarded as smoother in terms of feeling waves, so yea you would likely feel it more forward or aft. You may notice that there's a premium booking midship as it's a more desirable location.

You can, however, use your bar tab to buy bottles at any bar (not the store) if you have anything to use up.

We did ask one of our favorite bartenders on board what the price would be for a bottle of mezcal if we wanted to have it in our room. The price he gave us was basically the price of a shot *16 or whatever it would work out to be (no deals to be had really).

I did.  We are very excited . We are sailing on the Valiant Lady on October 30th.  Any info on this ship and Virgin sailings would help me. It is my first sailing on the Virgin Cruise lines.  Any suggestions for hotels in Miami close to the Port?  Thank you everybody .

we stayed here for our last cruise: https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/miaac-ac-hotel-miami-beach/overview/. It was...fine? There was a pool area but I didn't see a lot of shade or umbrellas up there so we didn't use the space. The bar was very much a hotel bar - kinda lackluster.

After leaving the hotel, we had a few minutes so we stopped here for a drink. They have a nice little bar/taqueria near the lobby. It looks stylish, prices seem reasonable: https://staygenerator.com/hostels/miami?lang=en-GB

  8. What address are people getting emailed from for this?

On the VV subreddit, someone said they won but received an email from reply@vvjlogiveaway.com. According to a poster there, that domain is only 4 days old and registered through some weird domain registry I wouldn't expect a multinational business to use. Be safe...

  9. You'll definitely get sans kids cruise even if the balcony view isn't up to par 🙂 . I don't think obstructed view bookings get an option to bid on a room upgrade (I didn't, anyway), but I was told people were asking about/receiving upgrades when checking in. This was for my June cruise which had like 700 people on board, so YMMV. May be worth asking about....

  10. I was on in June in an obstructed view room (8042Z) - I should have taken a picture of it, but yea that's basically what it looks like. You get the same natural light, can open it for a breeze or a place to catch fresh air, and the hammock but yea that boat is always there. We liked the thought of saving money (that we spent on champagne), so I would probably do it again.

  11. My last cruise was on deck 8. It was a limited view balcony room (8042Z), and yea that lifeboat was directly outside the balcony. Looking at the deck plans, 9042Z (one deck up) isn't listed as obstructed, but i'm sure the lifeboat is in your field of view if you're out on the balcony. I don't know if this helps.

We were on a caribbean cruise, and had really nice weather, so I can't speak to what it would be in more harsh conditions.

Vaccinated people are now just as likely to contract and pass on Covid as unvaccinated people.

I don't believe this is true.

    >Fully vaccinated individuals had a shorter duration of viable viral shedding and a lower rate of secondary transmission than partially vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals.
