Be sure to build in A LOT of time to get from the ship to whichever train station you choose. The Paris traffic is really bad.

For those who are going to Lyon may I suggest having lunch at Brasserie Le Sud, part of the restaurant group started by Michelin chef, Paul Bocuse. It offers Mediterranean Cuisine. You can walk from the pier where the ship is docked. We each had the two course meal and wine. Our bill was about $40 each. It was a wonderful experience.

We flew in from Amsterdam, arriving in Marseille at 11:30 am.

There is no tour of Marseille. It took about 1/2 for everyone to come out from the baggage area. The Viking rep was there waiting for us.The transfer was a little over an hour.

Thanks for sharing. We depart for our Viking adventure on Monday.

Peabody304  I see that Paris Webservices' 1/2 day tour of Giverney is 6 hours (to/from Paris) at 99E per person. Where will they pick you up? what time?  Thanks.

We are on the May 21 sailing of France's Finest. We will have a free afternoon in Lyon. Looking for restaurant suggestions for a nice lunch.
