  1. Anyone else noticed the webcams on P & O site are getting worse?

time is now 23.40 and still daylight in places where it should be dark

they don't seem to be updating. I like taking a look at them every other day.

  2. Flying to Caribbean then joining cruise i presume its OK to buy duty free on the plane to take on board?

Can't understand why P&O don't let you buy drink for your cabin. They are losing out on this market if they sold it duty free people wouldn't need to bring on board extra profit for them. As long as it is reasonably priced i am sure people would buy on board instead of carrying it on

  3. Looking at booking Ventura in November Caribbean

Was going to wait and book saver fare but we want 8.30 dinning and it looks like you can't change if you get the wrong one on saver fare. So looking at booking select i know it says you are first in line for upgrades would you get a discount on say a balcony?

its our 25th wedding anniversary so want things perfect but can't quite stretch to a balcony just yet.

  5. Have cruised the Caribbean a few times at this time of year have always booked well in advance but this year have booked the time off but are waiting until nearer the time.

My sister in law and husband booked last minute (about 6 weeks) last year to join us on the transatlantic crossing on Azura paid £1049 for guaranteed balcony (only one flight on this leg so cheaper than usual Caribbean cruises).

We were on a back to back 4 week cruise they paid half what we did for this leg, we did choose our cabin & dining at the time of booking, not complaining but quite a difference in price.

I realise there may not be the discounts of last year but currently a balcony on Azura or Ventura for a 2 week fly cruise is over £2000 each we have always paid around £300pp less than this.

Not worried about flights, cabin location, dining so for the first time we are going to take a chance, if nothing available with P&O there are other options with other cruise lines or even a Caribbean land based holiday for the time we have off. (Lets hope I hold my nerve:eek:)
