We have sailed Carnival 28 times and have never seen anything like that either. I also have been looking at MSC as they loyalty match but now I am starting to question the friendliness of the passengers. We are well traveled, dress nicely for dinner but not expensively. One of the things that we like about Carnival is how many people we meet and how friendly everyone is. Pat
we have many carnival cruises also, but we love Msc... for the diversity in the people... its way different to be at dinner not being able to understand every conversation around...we love it !! we have not found people to be rude or unfriendly.. just the opposite.... if your looking for something different give it a try, but if your looking for a carnival exp.. stick to carnival... our fav carnival cruise was magic at Christmas....

The food looks no different to the Xmas sailing! ... :D
The Aurea sun deck has its own hot tubs ...
The food looks exactly the same as the 12-23-17 sailing !!!

Can someone confirm whether the teens with aurea experience have free access in to thermal area.If not, how much is the fee for 1 week access?
the last paragraph says yes, though on another thread a 14 year old was refused...so i want to know as well...

Can you explain this more? When you register your debit card, are you authorizing a certain amount? lets say for example $1000. Are you saying they immediately debit your bank account the $1000?
The best method is credit card or cash... debit cards are not good to use on ships.... Too many bad storys..

LOL...Nah.... Just a bit frustrated I need to ensure my CC is valid for whole cruise (Needing PIN#). Thanks for the headsup about the PIN # and the possibility of charges going thru European countries. I would have just told my CC company the Carribean stops!!
on the 4 msc cruises we have been on, we have never needed a pin.. the kiosk onboard takes less than a minute.. its way easy... its just different...

First off, I requested to cancel the day before the excursion. Second, it was a beach excursion... and it was raining and windy.
If I had been in the Yacht Club, I bet I could have cancelled.
We were in Honduras with carnival... zip line at port... pouring rain and wind.... they said no refunds unless the tour operator cancelled... We weren't going anyway in that weather... finally tour operator canceled about noon..... some of your complaints in my opinion are unrealistic...

???
I'm not a buffet only person.
So... I still don't understand. Enlighten me, please.
Hence the problem... if i only did buffet I would be disappointed in the deck 16 offering for dinner... But we are not buffet only prople... the divina had an awesome buffet.... breakfast, lunch and dinner... as does carnival... But the main dinning room and speciality restaurants are very good.. on divina also... it's a different experience with msc... That's why we just booked out 3rd seaside cruise for this year... We love the offering. But we go with the flow... We don't try to force msc into our previous cruise experience... We enjoy what they have to offer.... right now it's the best offer going... 10 percent civil service discount... everything is reasonable priced...

Having watched almost every YouTube video about the Seaside in existence, I can confidently say that there are plenty of food options available.
I'm confused about what you and others who have this concern find missing? Serious question not snotty remark.
If your a buffet only person I can see the disappointment with the deck 16 buffet. How many people only eat buffet?

Thank you for your replies, still confuse about MSC internet policy. I hope it doesn't mean that we can only use 1800mb of data for whole cruise (not alot)
you can add 500 megs for a very small amount.. it will tell you when it is running out to reload...

we had no problems on the vista... I had the little cases for the remote and mavic..carried in a back pack... make sure all software is up to date and logged in on app.. got one place and forgot cable, used daughters phone and couldn't log in... as no service.. we have taken them on other lines as well...

did u get the 100 obc? from the email.. booking with in 2 weeks?

Ok makes sense... the shower door would have annoyed me.... and I know u have seen the playlist productions on carnival... the entertainment on divina and seaside is way better than playlist... now like the dream, dancing in the streets is the best show at sea we have been on... right now it's the best value... Thanks.

MSC Customer service SWEARS up and down I have confirmed early dining in the MDR and we are Bella experience for Seaside; how on Earth are bar height tables and chairs going to work with a toddler.
listen, stop worrying and enjoy your cruise... the tall tables were at the entrance.....

We are not huge show type people. However I did play Bingo one day in the Theatre and it felt like all the other ships I've been on. I couldd bring up negatives or dislikes of the Breeze....which was our favorite cruise. But they did not impact our cruise. Its obvious the Theatre setting and seating is important to you...it wasn't to us....so thats why I said in my earlier post I know the product and what to expect. Theatre not important to us. Now if you told me the casino was 30% smaller... I'd pile right on with the complainers...lol
I agree. But people complain about the theater on seaside have prob not been on the vista... We have loved all of our cruises. The last 5 will be on msc. A value that can't currently be beat.

Some excellent points... I booked the Vista very late and read all the negative comments.... But I have cruised 20+ times and know what to expect and I know the Carnival product. Results....2nd best Carnival cruise out of 13 Carnival cruises. My positive review/comments get drowned by the negatives because people LIKE to complain.... I think these negative reviews/feedback impacts newbie cruisers...more than the experienced cruisers. However, some feedback , as Lovelights, pointed out such as size of Theatre, Dining room, crowd flow.... does have merit as these are things that cannot be fixed and passengers will be impacted in some way. So everyone should read and digest feedback accordingly
So How was the theater on the vista? Man now that sucked !!!! We have many cruises on dream, breeze, vista, magic... vista was our least fav...

My littlest two are good eaters. Would they have problems ordering from the adult menu in the MDRs for any meals? We are booked on Seaside for June.
TIA
no problem

Vista was one of my least fav... when they got rid of the nice atrium and the glass elevators.... we love the breeze dream magic... though I like the 8 day southern.
