  1. Sorry for the late reply Jenny. In the post at the top it had insert image then a web box pops up asking for a web URL. I was putting in the address intead of the URL which made the photo un view-able. So i just right clicked my pic and copied the URL then uploaded the pic! Seems easy now lol

Thanks. Someone also told me how on another thread. Now I need to get off the phone, go back to the laptop and find my yummy custard crepe photo!

  2. Well that makes it easy!!

Open two tabs. One with Facebook, the other with the thread you are adding to.

Go to your Facebook page and click to open the picture so it is the 'full page' picture. Right click on the image and go to COPY IMAGE URL. Click on that.

Then go to the other tab. Go to the thread and get the curser where you want the photo to go. Click on the icon at the top - second row - mountains with sun picture. That will bring up a box, Right click and paste. Click OK.

    Thats it.

Have a go and let me know if I messed up an instruction.

I'm thinking getting off my phone and getting on my laptop would be a good idea.

  3. It recently occurred to me that DH and I will be on ROS during Halloween this year. It's a pretty big Holiday in the US. I live about 15 miles away from the Halloween Capitol of the World, Anoka Minnesota. So how big a holiday is it for you Australians? Should we consider bring costumes on our cruise? :D Just kidding! DH dislikes attending annual Halloween parties at home and would never wear a costume. I wonder if there will be anything special on our cruise to celebrate? :)

This answer is Halloween connected and not cruise connected......I live in Australia and I bought lollies to give to any kids who came to my door last Halloween. No one turned up. I ate the lollies.

  4. One name I hope they reconsider is:

    Endeavor of the Seas

I really like that one. It was originally considered for the Ultra-Voyager (now Freedom) class. The trademark for Endeavor of the Seas was abandoned when Royal Caribbean decided to go with all "patriotic" names for the class.

Endeavour would be great..... and then base it in Sydney.

  5. I'm not sure. I just saw it on a oz ta online site then I checked the RCL site and I booked it. It didn't last for to long. Couple days later it was double the price. So it was either:

    a) a mistake

    b) RCL wanted to shift some cabins.

    c) solo special.

Wow you did well! It really pays to keep an eye out for bargains.

  6.

It is your vacation, enjoy it....pack what you want....you will see everything.

I have never seen someone scolded or prohibited from entering the MDR.

I have been on one cruise and one cruise only on the Radiance out of Sydney last February.

I guess I have seen something you never have! One port day morning in the MDR, as we were leaving after breakfast, a guy tried to get in to sit with his friends as they finished breakfast, before going ashore, and he was refused entrance.

He was wearing what we in Australia call a "wife beater"........ie a singlet with wide straps.

The funny thing about it was that when I looked around at the women in the room (myself included) a lot were also wearing singlet tops.... including me!

  7. I think I might have been really lucky when I booked radiance of the seas 9 nights cruise leaving 11 October. I got deluxe balcony deck 8 for $1864 as a solo. I havent seen any half decent pricing since. That price includes pre paid tips.

Curious here. When did you book it?

I had a look this morning.

The Radiance 23 of December must be a joke........a balcony would have cost almost 10k.

The 7 night to Tasmania in January though isn't bad. Balconies are cheaper than internals.

  9. Sucks but I'd probably still buy one. Having the reduced deposit to hold any cruise I see just because I like the price is nice. Sure I may change my mind but if I had to shell out a full deposit of $500 for the two of us, I wouldn't do it.

You're lucky...... In Australia the full deposit is $400pp. The NCC brings it down to $100. To me they are definitely still worth it even though in the end you pay it all anyway. Last cruise we had to stump up $2400 deposit for six of us. This latest cruise booking was much nicer...... even without the OBC.

  10. Rhapsody is relocating to do the med and specifically the black sea

they just released bookings two days ago

plus we are looking at either explorer or mariner as her replacement

the bookings for opt will just transfer to the replacement ship

    Greg:)

I tried to find the bookings that opened when you mentioned and couldn't. Am I doing something wrong?

Edit: do you mean the off aussie season ones?

  11. Very soft David Attenborough talking .....

we are waiting the extremely rare White Carnival Terry Towel Folded Flounder in it's annual mating ritual. Yes and now you know where wash

    rags from.

    JT:)

The most awesome towel animal I have seen and one of the best comments. You have restored my faith in CC.

  12. You can keep your number if you transfer over from your existing provider. I'm staying with my current provider (I have a contract unfortunately). And you have to have an unlocked phone.

But for a 3 week period I'm happy to let my family and friends know my new number. And I can always set my old number to transfer to my new if I wanted to :). The phone I'm using has all my contacts and apps so it should not be a problem with a new number. But it's a good international roaming option :)
