Hi there, David,
Please add....
3 Jan, 2021 ... Pacificdaze ... Celebrity Solstice ... South Pacific 11 nights.
We are taking 10 first-time cruisers with us...our son & daughter, their spouses, and 6 grandchildren...we will be a very delighted dozen!

Branzino was on the MDR menu one night on Eclipse during our 14 night Southern Caribbean cruise in March. We regularly ate lunch in Oceanview Buffet, and all evening meals in the Deck 4 MDR. All meals were excellent, and we felt no need to dine at any of the speciality restaurants that we had enjoyed on previous cruises. We have booked Constellation for April 2019, and we expect the same high quality of food.
-
On our March 18 Eclipse cruise I enjoyed seeing four of the final series of Corning Hot Glass shows. The shows ended on Equinox in February, but I've read they are still on Solstice until June.

Hi David,
Please add: 2 April 2019 Celebrity Constellation Singapore to Abu Dhabi via Sri Lanka and India
Many thanks as your lists make interesting reading with ideas for future cruises, Susan

Another thread gave the name "Hollywood Hot Glass" as the replacement company, and there was a photo of Christmas tree glass baubles which cruisers will be able to make for a price...quite expensive as I remember. I hope this info helps.

Don't be at all nervous, just enjoy some excitement instead.
Woodwind have excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, and Cruise Critic too. Some on our roll call have made several previous trips with Woodwind, and booked with them again as soon as they booked their cruise. You can't get better recommendations.
-
We will be on the afternoon Woodwind snorkel in late March. Ulf has reassured me that he will return us before 5.30pm (6pm departure). This is part of his email...
We have room for you in the afternoon from 1-5pm ($65).
Eclipse have all aboard 5.30pm. We know since we are responsible for you to make it on time.
Everyone onboard Woodwind that afternoon are from Eclipse.....
I suggest you ask on your roll call for others from your ship also on Woodwind. Tour operators have to be reliable...miss the ship and they would soon be out of business.

Definitely disappointing to hear this, we really loved to watch the shows on our Norwegian Fjords cruise in 2016. We had the opportunity again on a Caribbean cruise and TBH, we didn't go because it was SO hot and I didn't relish the idea of going to glass blowing when I was already sweating.
I will miss that feature if it is phased out by the time we board in May for our Ireland/Iceland cruise!
I have read that the Corning HGS will depart Eclipse on April 1, 2018. Hoping to catch their final shows on our March 18 cruise.
Hi
-
Thankyou so much for the information. I will let others on our roll call know the good news. May the rest of your cruise be memorable, and I hope you are the lucky winner of a raffled glass item.
-
Thankyou Lady Vol, I'm hoping that "effective April 1" means we should see some hot glass shows during our March 18 Eclipse sailing. Fingers crossed!
-
The Corning Hot Glass Show will be from 8PM-10PM on Friday, Feb. 9 on the Eclipse!
Please can you ask if the Hot Glass Show will still be available on the Eclipse March 18 sailing. Hoping it is, but becoming resigned to the probability of it being closed down before we arrive onboard. Appreciate your posts.

Hi Kelani, Re the ongoing issue with registering for Meet and Mingle, see the earlier posts #3, #4, #5 of this thread.
Fouremco, we will see you at our hopefully well-attended event.

We will be on the Eclipse Southern Caribbean in March, so appreciate your information re the CC event. While I was unable to register via the website, Celebrity OneTouch emailed that we would not miss out. If no invitation in our cabin, then I will hopefully get details from Guest Relations. One of our roll call members has organised to exchange gifts from our hometown...so far my husband and I are the only Aussies registered, so our gift will certainly be distinctive! I hope your cruise continues to delight in every way.

We will be visiting San Juan, St. Croix, Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia and St. Kitts. Not sure how many of those overlap with your itinerary.
We were supposed to go to St. Maarten and Dominica but they were replaced with St. Croix and Antigua due to the hurricane damage.
We have not been informed otherwise, so St Maarten should be our first port, followed by Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, then the ABC islands. I will enjoy reading your posts, especially the three ports that are also on our itinerary. Thanks in anticipation.

We will be on the Eclipse Southern Caribbean in March 2018, so I will be interested to read about your shore excursions.

Goodness, more woes with their website, I haven't tried to book anything but I have been trying off and on for around a month to register the connections party. Our cruise isn't in the system apparently.
When I couldn't register for the Connections party after several attempts, I emailed CelebrityOneTouch@celebrity.com with my request and cruise reservation information, and they replied next morning that my details had been forwarded to the relevant team member and we would definitely be included.
If there is not an invitation left in our cabin on the first evening, I'll go to Guest Relations early next morning.
CelebrityOneTouch were also very helpful regarding a dining room request...far preferable to an international phone call.

You will love this cruise! Be aware that the cruise we were on was very popular.
Perhaps it will be 2020 or 2021 before we cruise! We intend to combine the cruise with a land tour including Delhi,Jaipur and Agra. I have read that the Taj Mahal is under scaffolding for a thorough clean during 2018, and maybe 2019. I expect many tourists will delay their travels until that process is completed.
Having watched the videos, some questions re the shore excursions.
Were yours booked with Celebrity?
If so, Before leaving home or onboard?
Were there tour operators waiting at the wharf for those who hadn't pre-booked?
Were there local stalls set up at the wharf?
Were there any problems about returning to the ship in time, considering the traffic.
Were shore excursion prices comparable to other destinations you have visited?
Thanks for your anticipated reply.

Hi everyone!
On the last day of the year I finally finished our video trip report of our wonderful cruise from Singapore to Abu Dhabi last April. We had the best time ever!
You can view the playlist at
Questions are welcome :)
I haven't time to watch now, but hoping to find this link easily tomorrow. Thinking of booking this cruise for 2019 or 2020 while onboard in March. From the Celebrity site it seems that Oman is not included in April 2019, and the cruise ends in Dubai, rather than Abu Dhabi. My pre-perception of India is similar to yours, so great to hear you found something special there. Looking forward to seeing and listening to your masterpiece tomorrow.

Curacao, part 1
Thanks Fiona, lots of useful ideas in your detailed notes. We have an overnight in Curacao in March. On the first day I am keen to follow the walking map of the city, and as it's our second last port, some extra exercise will be very welcome. It seems like a beach day would be suitable for our second day, with Mambo Beach convenient to the port. I await your Part 2 with great interest. Your efforts to help others is much appreciated.

I'm enjoying your detailed reports very much. We are sailing on Celebrity Eclipse in March 2018 to the Southern Caribbean, so I am eager to read your Barbados, Curacao and Aruba shore excursions. We have already booked Cosol in St Lucia, and a taxi in Antigua, as my husband is specifically interested in the Sir Viv Richards cricket stadium, which obviously wouldn't appeal to the majority of Americans on organised bus trips. We are Australians, so it's definitely our only visit, and like you, we want to see more of the islands than the view from the port. Thankyou for taking time in your busy life to help others, it's much appreciated.

I have difficulties with Celebrity website as well. I choose a cruise, get to the page where I select type of cabin (e.g. balcony) press continue and nothing happens, no matter what I do I can't progress beyond this point. If anybody has any ideas I would be very grateful.
When I recently booked online (from Australia) I remember that after selecting the "type of cabin" (balcony), I then scrolled down looking at various deck plans, and selected the "actual cabin" we wanted. The cabins are color-coded, showing which are still available. Then I was able to continue successfully. I hope that may help.

Last week I successfully booked our March 2018 cruise online with Celebrity....luckily I didn't know there were website issues, and didn't have any problems. When I couldn't register for the Connections party, or add a dining room request, I emailed celebrityonetouch@celebrity.com Prompt replies to my queries, very helpful and I will use that method to contact them again if needed.

We will be on Celebrity Eclipse in March 2018, and don't know if we will stop at St Maarten or have an itinerary change like yours. I will enjoy reading the rest of your review, as you find time and wifi to send. Happy cruising, Susan

I have not yet used the App onboard, but only 57 days to wait for Constellation Singapore to Abu Dhabi. As we are familiar with S-class ships, and it's going to be our first M-class, I do like the App's deck plans to familiarise ourselves before boarding. Also tracking daily expenses will be convenient on our iPhones. It does say that Dining details will be available after boarding, so I'm wondering if adding daily activities also needs to be done onboard.
I'm hoping that Solstice will be added before our 2021 cruise.
