They had all that on the Emerald last summer, black pudding etc.
I think Princess are chasing the UK customer at the moment. Princess UK prices are far cheaper than the US prices.
It maybe cheaper to cruise the UK when I the UK but cruises elsewhere are far ccheaper in North America. Talking from experience when I lived in Canada

Is Marmite really a UK food I always thought of it as Australian. Sunday "lunch" is a definite yes as is Cottage Pie (but no carrots in it as they jus shouldn't be there). It'll be great to have black pudding for breakfast and who knows it may spread to non-UK sailings. Afternoon tea is already available so nothing new there. Don't forget PG Tips for a tea that has to be there (sorry Twinings). It'll be great to have Branston and HP on board as the last time I was at the Crown Grill apparently there wasn't any brown sauce to be found anywhere

I'm a longstanding type 1 diabetic and haven't filled out the medical form but always have insurance. Get the sharps container off the steward. As I've been a diabetic for so long I can handle it. Some medical issues do need to be notified but not all

Will Majestic have them on from the getgo?

Does CC dining do like MDR and post the menu showing the extra dishes on it?

You may have to make sure there is an alternative suite available and let them know if they say no to keeping the suite you have then you'll take the alternative and once booked, cancel it so you can get the original one. Had to do it once

I tried to do it for some Canadian friends when we were sailing from Vancouver and was told BVE was only available in the USA.

Does anyone know if EZcheck is available for BA (specifically out of Singapore)

You'll like my response - Internet, OBC, minibar on each B2B is our experience
-
We (brother who I cruise with) always request a twin and even though it may be a queen when we first go in after saying that it should be twins it always is by the time we are going to bed. The answer is yes they can be moved.
-
You can also switch the full minibar setup for 2 coffee cards.

On our 27 day cruise next Sept. my husband & I each get 500 minutes. He has no interest in using his so I get all 1000 minutes!!
So was the 500 minutes each a special? I can't find anything that says a longer cruise gets more time (unless you buy more minutes)

Don't be afraid to ask for a new one if it is getting full. Needed 2 on one cruise.

What really annoys me is the fact there is no increase in OBC for suites if you have Carnival shares, no increase in Internet time (really affects anyone who isn't Platinum but in a suite) and the fact that Princess doesn't make the deals available to all cruisers (I would have liked the 3 for free promo but it isn't offered outside North America)

Be glad you can get the Princess insurance. Not available in UK.

No scent now with Princess toiletries so no headache. I loved the smelly stuff though as I used to take a soap home so when I wanted a cruise fix but sailing was some time away I could imagine I was washing on board a ship.

Does anyone in the know (Princess insider) know if La Mer on the Majestic will be a speciality restaurant with an added cost? The deck plan shows the Harmony Chinese restaurant but so far not La Mer though they do mention it in the ship's features. Hopefully the menu will be available in advance.
Thanks.

I guess we have been lucky. Brother wants to take Princess excursions so we don't miss the boat but all have been good. I said, after returning, that the Great Barrier Reef excursion should have been can canceled (seas were rough, lots of people sick and someone broke their arm) but didn't ask for a refund. They gave us one.

Take it while you can. It isn't offered in the UK as I found out after leaving Canada. I had used it when there.

Is $2 a day for a steward looking after your room good enough? I asked what they get from the automatic gratuities and was told it was $2 a day. I was also asked not to say about it which makes me think he is worried that Princess would find out who said.

Anyone from the UK - this is not offered in the UK regardless of the level of loyalty in Captain's Circle

One of the last times I sailed from Vancouver I was given the usual there is no dining room open for lunch on embarkation day go to Horizon Court or International Café.
As we are sailing on the Star next Saturday can anyone say which dining room has been used so I don't have to ask and/or go to each dining room.
Thanks

We'll be on board the Star in 3 weeks and have some questions which can hopefully be answered here.
As we are doing a B2B in Whittier we are doing the 26 Glacier excursion can anyone comment on the time the excursion returns to the Star so we can work out when we are eating (ideally before the muster drill - before anyone says you don't have to go, as a safety professional we have always done the second one on a B2B so we can use the alternate route and be familiar with it).
I see the information about the Gastropub says available on selected ships - is the Star selected? I have been reading reviews but have never seen it mentioned so I think not but it would be good to know for definite.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

It is actually immigration (passport control) before you collect your suitcases. At immigration they check your custom declaration (and mark it as either no issue leave without questions or questions needed) and this you hand in when you leave arrivals. Then you'll meet the Princess rep. At YVR they usually have portable booths clearly showing the cruise line name.
Cabin fridge and Insulin
in Princess Cruises
Posted
Agree that most insulin once opened doesn't need to be kept in a fridge - done quite a few cruises to warmer climates and never had a problem. When living in Canada (Kamloops to be specific) never heard of the room temperature stable insulin and it certainly wasn't suggested by my family doctor.
