  1. On Hotwire - it ended up being the Westin Beach Resort. It says it's 5 minutes from FLL airport. We will need transportation to POM. Any idea if any of the shuttle services picks up from there? Most of them say they will pick up at airport hotels, but I don't think this is considered an airport hotel.

  2. Does anyone that has been on the Breeze recently have pictures of the Camp Carnival staff? When we went on the Legend in August, our kids had a camp counselor that they called Miss Sarah. They LOVED her. My 2 year old still calls anyone that looks remotely phillipino Miss Sarah. She told us that was her last sailing because she was "too qualified" for that boat especially since it was moving to Australia. She said they were moving her to a bigger ship that would have more kids. We haven't thought anything else about it until I saw a recent Camp Ocean schedule from the Breeze And saw that the assistant director is Sarah Rowley. For the life of me, I can't remember her last name. My kids would love to know if it's her that they will get to see when we sail in March. Here are a few pics of her that we have. Does she look familiar to any of you who have recently had kids in there? ImageUploadedByForums1422044871.929660.jpg.a32a1a8372a6498e8b70712103ad7f26.jpg

  3. My 2 year old did NOT like Cat in the Hat on our cruise on the Legend in August. We've been looking at lots of pictures and watching videos trying to get him to like it better before we cruise the Breeze in March. Last night we were looking at pictures of different cruises with Seuss at Sea and ran across a picture of the Grinch. He flipped out - in a good way. He LOVES watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Anyone who has recently been on the Breeze and participated in any Seuss at Sea activities, do they have someone dressed up as "Mr. Grinch"?

Also, is there a Bookville on the Breeze? (The library type place for Seuss at Sea)?

  4. Yes, if you reach a new level during the cruise you are considered the higher level starting on embarkation day. I didn't get my gold pin until the sixth day (the actual day I reached 25 days)

Sweet! Was your S&D card red or gold? Sorry to ask such stupid questions, but our 8 year old is counting down until she gets her gold card. ;)

  5. Love the review! We are taking our 2 year old on his 3rd cruise in March and will be on the Breeze!!

Do you have any more pics of Camp Carnival? We are specifically wondering about how many windows there are - for our 8 year olds sake. She got really claustrophobic on the legend because it was so dark and felt closed in.

Also, I would love the link to where I can find those hooks...we would love some privacy ;)

  6. Thanks for posting the information and video about the lido deck cabins on Carnival Breeze! My husband and I are staying in cabin 10276 on our upcoming cruise in late April. We were originally booked in 6460 because we stayed in that exact cabin two years ago and I thought it would be neat to stay there again. I was able to upgrade to the 8F and received a $26.00 reduction a couple months ago! Not too shabby. Anyway, I am excited about being so close to the pool and bars. My only fear is that I won't be able to book any other deck ever again.

Sorry to get off subject, but what did you think of cabin 6460? We have my parents booked in that room in March but I'm worried about the sound from the lounge below, being on the smoking side of ship, and lack of privacy from deck below. Thoughts?

  7. Lol!! I love it! We actually have one, but I've never "tethered" him to anything with it ;) When we've been on the balcony with him before, we leave the table up by the windows and just block it with our chairs or his 8 year old sis sits on it. Gosh, I think I'm just overthinking this whole thing...something that I have a bad habit of doing! I need to just go and quit worrying about it.

  8. No :( there is nothing on deck 7 midship. Gosh, I am usually such a planner. I can't believe that I've picked a room in such a bad location. I would LOVE to hear from anyone who has stayed in that area to see what their thoughts are.

  9. My only concern with the cove balconies is how the balcony is made. Our 2 year old is a little monkey and I feel okay with the regular balconies, because there is nothing that he can use as a step on the front of the balcony itself because it's all plexiglass (or whatever it is). However, it looks like there are little openings on the metal front of the cove balcony that I could see him trying to use as a ladder. Before anyone screams at me, let me make it very clear that he is NEVER allowed on the balcony by himself. But, when we are out there, I do like to relax and not have to keep saying "no, Isaac. Get down Isaac. Don't climb on that Isaac..." This will be his 3rd cruise in a balcony room and so far no problems. There is a room available on the starboard side of deck 6 midship - which is what we need due to my daughter's tendency to get motion sick. But now I'm worried about the noise from below. Ugh!!!!! Prices have gone up significantly from when we booked it, so if we change decks, it is going to be expensive. What to do? What to do?

  10. We booked my parents a large balcony (6460) and us a regular balcony (6398) in March on the breeze. For some reason I had it in my mind that smoking was only allowed on the starboard size, but in fact, it's only on the port side. I specifically chose port side hoping to be away from the smoke. The last 2 cruises we went on, folks all around us were smoking on their balconies and it was awful. Luckily that can't happen anymore. For those who have stayed in a 6 floor port side balcony with the smoking lanai right under you, was it ever an issue or did it not bother you since they're out in open air?
