  1. I am thinking of the two week crossing from Ft. Lauderdale to Denmark in April of next year on the Enchanted Princess.  I generally will get an inside cabin and pay for the Sanctuary for the entirety of our cruise.  I imagine it would be cold??  Typically around 40ish degrees?  I would most likely get a balcony for this cruse and skip the Sanctuary because of weather.  Has anyone done this crossing at that time of year and can comment on the weather?  We have a friend we are going to visit in Denmark after the cruise so it makes this so tempting.   I sure would appreciate it!  Thanks!

  2. Is this the same as other Princess ships where if I want to book it for the week I have to arrive early on embarkation day to secure a spot or is there somewhere online I can book it before departure ?  thanks!

Oh, and does anyone know why on cc where it says more about a ship and has a drop down menu, Sky Princess is not listed?

  3. I am travelling on a 5 day Majesty with costa maya and Cozumel and 2 sea days being the itinerary.  For personal reasons, I will need to either text or email from my sprint phone.  I'm somewhat confused by the Voom details...would this allow texting while at sea or is it streaming only?  Or does anybody know if Sprint international works on sea days.  I tried to get an answer from Sprint and gave up after 25 minutes of miscommunication :(

thank you in advance for any help...

  4. I was just on regal beginning feb 4 b2b ending feb 18 , starting beginning of second week I had a severe chest cold now home it has morphed into full blown flu symptoms, I was thinking it may have been the enclave, sauna or steam rooms , had anyone else visited that area of the ship .

Sent from my iPad using Forums

I was in none of those areas...spent the week in the sanctuary

  5. This is interesting...I returned from the Regal Jan 28...got a slight cough which turned into the flu. I thought in the back of my mind it was connected with the ship. Hope not as I'm returning April 1...guess time will tell..Oh, and I always travel with a travel size Lysol spray and spray everything in the room down prior to use.

  6. As far as anyone knows...it's randomly decided by a computer.

Interesting that you got it without gambling, tho'.

Hmmmm..upon further investigation hubby says that in the past when he has played let it ride they scan his princess room card. They don't know how much he is betting or if he wins or loses but they do scan it. This has not been very often but obviously enough to qualify for these rates

  7. and just to clarify more, these 'deals' are only available to the people who actually receive the emails, correct??

I was told last week by the future Cruise employee, while I was onboard, that these were Casino rates.. I posted a question about that today since I don't really go to the casino that often and inly spend at mist $20. You do have to login...my husband has the offer as well but not my two friends who are platinum..so they could not take advantage of this offer unless they shared a room with me

  8. So I am being offered "casino" discounted rates..and I'm talking really discounted...like less than 1/6th of the going rate for a one week cruise. My question is , how do they decide who receives these? I wanted to book this for myself and my friend and her sister. I would have a single room and they would share a double but because she was not offered the cruise rate I could not get her a room for the same price unless I shared a room with them. We were both platinum at the time, and I didn't really gamble in the casino on past cruises. Oh, and btw, this was not an emailed offer. I found it online while looking under deals...even then it wasn't listed as a casino rate...I happened to be onboard and the future cruise person told me it was a casino rate.

  9. Sorry I didn't find out much. I don't know how many medallions were given out. I only saw a couple people with them. They are attached to their room card. I never got to find out about the coffee card yet but I will when I get there. As far as the onboard credit I requested that by calling princess prior to this cruise as explained in another thread somewhere. Room service does not list the price but they do Supply canned sodas. No mention at all of bottled alcohol but that is probably something you can find on the web. I did notice that for room service Sushi is $12 Burgers $3 along with pizza. As far as the Norovirus we did eat at Alfredo's the first day and were told because of norovirus we could not touch the creamers.. they said the prior week 22 people had the virus. I have heard no reports of anyone on this Cruise Contracting it and we have been allowed to touch the cream and also salt and pepper... I have been on a lot of ships with the sanctuary but have never seen anything like the Parade of food that comes out at 3 to 3:30 in the afternoon... all of a sudden people appear with tray after tray of canopies and sandwiches and scones with whipped cream and jelly and all sorts of delights. I have not been able to enjoy any of them because of the timing...it is always after I have eaten lunch and before I'm about to eat dinner.. oh poor me Lol

  10. Taking a moment from my R&R to report that everything is lovely aboard the Regal. We were among the first to board and headed directly to the sanctuary to get four chairs for the week. It eventually did sell out but just for sea days and that was around 1 p.m. the day of embarkation. Be aware, is I was not, that even if you are platinum and get there early the elite people are allowed to board before you do. I thought it would be first-come first-served but that was not the case. We were among the ones to get the $100 per person on board credit for not having The Medallion use. While this was lovely. It was even nicer to find that once on board they gave us unlimited WiFi, which is why I am posting here now :-). I am platinum and the notice said it was being offered to platinum and Elite. food has been very good, and the ship is big but beautiful. Be aware that the pool outside of the sanctuary is not heated and rather chilly but there are two hot tubs nearby that make up for it. I was told it is heated when they are in the Baltic. I will check back in if anyone has any specific questions.... I am enjoying myself immensely.

  11. Did it post to your Princess Personalizer yet? I called through TA on Monday and was given 100 pp but not posted as credit with Princess as yet.

  12. Just to clarify...I am past final payment. I paid about 700 pp total incl. taxes etc for a guarantee obst and got a deluxe balcony. I booked with a large vacation outlet online and received an onboard credit of 50 and pre paid gratuities and one free specialty rest. dinner.. I just made the call...the woman couldn't have been more lovely...she even asked me what I was eating for breakfast lol...I was honest and said I received a letter from Princess informing me that although I was on an ***** cruise my cabin was not chosen. I simply stated that I was slightly disappointed but still excited at the prospect of future cruises with *****..I then told her I see on cruise critic that Customer Relations is compensating people at the rate of 100 pp...she put me on hold for two minutes and a supervisor came on the line, apologized for the inconvenience and added the OBC. She then asked if she could add it for my friends whose reservation is linked to mine. Definitely a good feeling all around and my friends are thrilled as well. Great experience with Princess. Oh, and I checked and sure enough there it is, under the heading Customer Goodwill .
