Last time we drove.
In to Gate 8. Terminal right in front of you.
Pull in drop bags, Directed to parking a little further down the road. Shown into parking space.
Walked back to terminal, checked in and on the ship.
On return get your bags from terminal, take to loading only bay. (where you dropped them off in the first place. A very short walk. One goes get the car and drives back to this spot to load up.
Then off you go.
Very easy, very little walking

Not gate 101 it's berth 101 entrance through dock gate 10 off the round about next to the holiday inn on Herbert walker avenue and opposite the grand harbour hotel.
Dock Gate 8 is the one you need, not ten as above.

I believe you can only buy them if you are in U.S.
Here are some for UK http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cruise-Luggage-Holders-Caribbean-Celebrity/dp/B00LIB1C66
Thanks for that.
Been there before and they were £18. Now £9.99
So will jump on them at this price.

I just post now and then.
Nowt down there at all.
Never mention my status.
I'm just a quite sole.
As others have said, some like to brag, some show off. People do deserve to list past cruises and mention where their standing is.
But to me it's like going back to Victorian times.
Ahh well

Can anyone give advice on this port of call. I was looking at a company called Shorebee and they have a tour for 80eu per person if there are eight people in a bus. They drive to Florence, stop at Michelangelo Square and you can either do your own thing or get a guide and then on the way back they stop at Pisa and then back to the cruise ship. It is a duration of 9 hours.
Any advice would be great :)
We did this a couple of years ago. We just got off the ship and went to one of the mini buses advertising this tour.
Had a great day. 10 people if I remember in the van.
Really nice driver and helpful.
Was cheaper than your price as well.

I salute Kezz with his generosity, but he is in a very, very small minority. Tipping pub bar-staff is done very rarely, especially if you are in a pub that you seldom frequent. The exception would be if you were in your local, when you might occasionally tell the barman/maid to 'And one for yourself' in which case they would charge the equivalent of half a pint or so, and add it to the tip jar. However, most 'chain' type pubs do not allow this approach.
Now not working in the Pub game. (Bar) the pubs I go in are my locals. So yes I look after the staff that look after me.
It's only 50p per visit, not per drink. (Did say I was a tight git)(tis annoying when the staff change over, cost me another 50p) ;(
I agree with the rest of answers. Don't tip for bar food, unless an Oscar was needed. Tip 10% in Restaurants.

I just wanted to report back that a builder we know arrived today and addressed my husband by saying "How's it hangin'"
They then had a lively debate as to whether it should be: how're THEY hangin' OR how's IT hangin'
THEY won!
Colloquial slang used by a few in semi jest. It's a guy thing!
I can't believe most people say No, to tipping Bar Staff.
As said by one person, I always tip 50p when I get served. It's a hard job standing behind a bar all day. Done it for 25 years.
I'm a tight git though and don't tip anyone else.
If anywhere near Lancashire you may also hear (be called) Chuck, Pet, Duck, Petal, Hun, Sweet Pea ETC.
Sounds silly when you write it down, Lol

We were also on the repositioning cruise on Serenade from New Orleans to Boston. We are not new cruisers, this was our 25th.
I guess that it is all a matter of perspective. We had a wonderful cruise and found the food and service to be top notch. The food was much better than our last RCCL cruise which was on the Independence of the Seas.
The comments about the 'loyalty ambassador" not being at the reception desk (which is on deck four) are interesting since their offices to meet with passengers are on deck six aft next to the Safari Lounge. Every time I walked by they were meeting with passengers. The daily compass had a number to call to make a reservation every day.
I did notice that the ship had its share of complainers. One fellow was even in the complaining mood before we even boarded the ship. We took a dinner cruise on the Steamboat Natchez two nights before we boarded the Serenade and he just would not let up.
A couple, a few tables over, were never happy. She was always complaining about the lack of selections in the buffet, the fennel in her food (which was clearly listed on the menu) and he made a major scene with the waiter and the head waiter over how the crème brulee was prepared. He just would not let it go.
A special terrific lunch was served for Cruise Critic members on the last sea day. A woman who sat across from us started to complain before she even sat down (chairs and tables too close) and then went on to complain about the selections of unlimited free wines offered and the fact that she did not like any of the three choices of entrees. She got up and announced that she was going to the buffet and she took her free wine (which she did not like) with her!
Some folks are never happy. Maybe they would be better off sailing another line.
Excellent comment.
My god i'd love to cruise with you.

I'm getting ready with the drink again. Lol

No one has mentioned my favourite, proper (Marie Rose) prawn cocktail sauce:). I've given up ordering the shrimp cocktail on North American cruises as they only ever seem to have the red sauce.
I agree though that most of the food is the same with just a few additional local dishes.
Julie
Marie Rose Sauce.
2 Parts mayonnaise to 1 Part Tomato Ketchup, Touch of paprika, Mix.
Make it every day.
Enjoy

This is hilarious .........
blocked toilets, cabins full of poo.
no formal nights on quantum class ships.
too much emphasis on robotics bars and fat blokes and waddling women that don't want to look gorgeous on a couple of nights on a cruise.
no topless bathing as the ship is full of prudes.
making you ADVANCE book for restaurants you probably won't end up eating in because you went on pizza overload in sorrentos .......
What's RCI coming to ???
still ...... They won't have a bad word said about them lol
Lol
Pint?

I book all our cruises through an American TA and use my UK address. We have had some terrific deals in comparison to UK travel agencies, and our TA applies price drops as they become available. We pay our deposit and balance in US dollars too.
Ours was recommended by a Canadian friend who also had used them regularly.
We are not allowed to disclose names/web sites on CC unfortunately.

A PM would be great.
We all would like to do this when a huge price difference in involved.
Please share.
