Does any one know if I can request just and evening housekeeping service?  We usually get up in the morning and just go and in the evening we take out showers before dinner.  I don't need the room steward to service my cabin in the morning and I know this is a busy time for them.  Can I request that on the app or just tell him/her when I see them?   I also miss the nightly chocolates☹️  My husband would eat them immediately but I would bring them home have 1 or 2 everyday and daydream about being back on the cruise.   I hope at some point they bring them back.

I'm interested in this topic too - i.e whether the full housekeeping service can be in the evening instead of the morning.  My travel partner and I have very different morning routines/schedules and I honestly don't know how the steward ever gets a chance to do our cabin in the morning!  Doing it in the evening while we're at dinner would work much better for us.

Has anyone tried asking for this?

    thanks,

    Becky

  2. I'm thinking you'll be on the Enchanted, arriving in Copenhagen on May 4th...

Regardless, I checked the International site of the Dutch train service and the journey time between Copenhagen and Amsterdam is very long (anywhere from 11 to 18 hours) and requires a minimum of 2 transfers.  The fares are quite reasonable though.

If it was me, I'd fly!

Here's the Dutch train site if you want to poke around yourself:

    Enjoy the planning!

Yes you do.  But forget about Princess tfr... just grab one of the many cabs.  Just get off early to get early test.  Should be max 1 hr for result.  If EZ-Air lets you book flight, it is legit and Princess will take care of you if the unexpected or unusual happens.  The other thing is ... no gty... but PCR test may be gone before April if full vaxxed.

Thanks for the feedback.  We often grab a cab there which is why I was initially comfortable booking the 11:20 flight.  I've decided to switch to the next flight anyhow, a 12:20 departure.  I'd love if the PCR requirement was gone by then! Some more finger crossing!

  4. Hello,

I realize COVID requirements may change before April/22, however this is my situation. My flights are booked through EZ Air.

We'll dock in Fort Lauderdale at 7:00am and I have an 11:20 flight back to Canada. I'll need a negative COVID test in order to board the flight.  Assuming nothing changes between now and April (!), do I have sufficient time to do the PCR test at the port when I disembark and make my flight?

    thanks!

  6. We’ve already booked the cruise under the Best Sale Ever promotion so will have unlimited WiFi included. I have a history of inadvertently blowing through my free minutes so for once won’t have to worry about that!. My travel buddy is elite and normally trades out the mini bar for coffee cards (which we won’t need this time) so I was wondering if it was possible to trade our free internet minutes for something. Based on the feedback in this thread it appears that’s not an option. I was only wondering!

  7. Thanks for the replies!

On a previous cruise I double checked I'd logged off correctly but still managed to lose all my minutes - this was on the first day of the cruise.  Went to the Internet cafe, had the minutes reinstated no problem.  Somehow managed to do the same thing 2 more times...now prefer to just pay for the unlimited package (or get it as part of a promotion) so no more worries!

    Thanks!

  9. Hello,

Does anyone know if the Mardi Gras will have self-service laundry machines like most other Carnival ships? (I've looked at the deck plans and don't see any)

I see a single cabin sized blank spot on deck 9, between cabin 9464 and cabin 9466 - any idea what that might be for?  It's the only blank spot on an exterior wall that I can see, and it seems unlikely to be a crew staircase as it would land in the middle of what appears to be kitchen space for Guy's Pig and Anchor.

    Any thoughts?!

    Thanks

  10. Hello,

I used to use Renmar's link (I think that was his/her name) containing visuals of the actual obstructions on Princess cabins, however when I tried yesterday it seems the link no longer exists.  Does anyone know if there is a new link?

    Thanks in advance,

  11. I was looking at these cabins for an Enchanted cruise, which appears to be a similar layout, and saw the following when looking at deck plans:

    image.png.fa73d7cd8c4de4cc3cc0189de615c037.png

I think this means that the balconies are closed off except when in port.  I seem to recall seeing some posts about this previously but could be mistaken.  Maybe someone out there knows for sure?

  12. Hello - I've posted this question in the Europe ports of call section, but am also posting here as my question is 'Princess' specific!

We'll be in Helsinki for one day in June, taking a 'Helsinki Highlights' Princess excursion in the morning - which provides the option to stay in the city at the end of the tour if you don't want to go straight back to the ship.  I was in Helsinki (also with Princess) as a one day cruise stop 6 years ago, and that time we took the ship shuttle to the centre of town and did our own thing, then took the shuttle back.

My question, for anyone that has utilised the 'stay in the city at the end of the tour' option with Princess...do they drop you at the shuttle location, or at least point it out?  If not, is the location within walking distance of the open air market by the water and the Uspenski cathedral?  (the walk from the shuttle location to this market was about 10 minutes 6 years ago)

    Thanks!

    Becky
