we may be on the same cruise. if it is the same menus - Caribbean night, Italian night, French night, American night, etc. what do they do for the extra 3 days? and do they really do an American cuisine night?

We have only cruised the Caribbean, usually 7- or 8-day cruises and are familiar with the main dining room menus. We are taking a 10-day Greek cruise, and we are wondering what to expect. The ships have the new theme menus, are they the same on a cruise in Europe or Greece? I have tried looking for menus but couldn't easily find any.
thanks

Update to my passport question. We went on the trip and was able to visit each island with no issues. I brought birth certs and marriage license and no one asked for them. To be honest, only had to show the passport twice, once boarding and once at customs.
I have the forms filled out and getting photos done for new passort.

I was on the cruise aug 6,2022 and as we were leaving our room to leave the ship we got a call from guest services that I needed to go down to see them. When I got there they said my name had been pulled and I won a free drink package for a future sailing. Today I boarded the ship and presented the certificate and I have been getting the run around. They keep saying they are checking but no one has seen one before.
Did anyone else on here win anything from that party and have you tried using it?

We are also on the Feb 17th sailing and kind of concerned too. If those stops get cancelled, I wonder if there will be a replacement stop or two or sea days.

thank you that makes me feel better about this.

I know this has been asked before...
We leave for a cruise in exactly one month. I completed the check in paperwork and the warning popped up saying that Royal suggests passports not expire for 6 months. Ours will expire in June. We are visiting - St Marteen, Dominica, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago. I think we will be okay with all of them but not sure about Trinidad and Tobago. I called the cruise line and they said we would be okay but to bring our birth certificates and ID cards as backup documents. But now I am starting to worry. I could send in the paperwork and expedite the passport, but we are only 4 weeks away. I am worried we wouldn't get it back and not be able to go at all.
does anyone have any information on these ports or suggestions? most of the information online is mostly for land based vacations, not cruises.
thank you in advance.

wine update:
we brought 6 bottles on board - 3 rooms. We were charged the uncorking fee for three of them. This was a great way to save some money.
thanks

We just got home from sailing on Freedom.
make sure you watch the Morning Show while getting ready in the morning. The CD does the show and he tells you what is going on that day.
If you like champagne, go to the art auctions. The $2 mimosas are not bad either.
if there is no line or a short line for the ice cream machine, get ice cream. there is normally a long line.
The artwork on each floor on the stairs is wonderful.
If you get a chance, do the galley tour/brunch. You get to see the kitchens and have a great meal. The executive sous chef might even sing for you,

thanks for the responses.

We've been on Jewel twice and loved it both times. Previously we had been on Navigator and Mariner. We loved the smaller ship. We were able to meet other guests and do the Quest and other games.
We leave on Freedom of the Seas next week and although I am very excited, I wish it was back on Jewel.

We are cruising next week and we've never brought wine onboard before. It says we can bring two bottles each room. These might be stupid questions... Do we take the wine to dinner with us? Do they keep it? Is there a corking fee or re-corking fee?
Thanks in advance.

We just did this tour and it was awesome!! The guides are great and you get to see a lot of the island that you normally would not see. We went to two beaches and an area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.
They are a new tour group and I got the feeling that they are limited on where they are allowed to go. They mentioned the black volcanic beach and said that they are not allowed to take tours there yet.

I forgot about Cuba. That would be a cool stop too.

I've been looking at cruises and I like going to new places and it me thinking of the dream ports I'd like to visit. what is yours?
I'd like a ship to stop in Monserrat, Trinadad and Tobago and Anguilla. I'm logistically it probably wouldn't work.
Where do you want to go?

Wow those new big ships do have everything!

In Aruba we did a private 4x4 tour. we booked through EL Tours. that is a great tour and you drive the Jeep. Highly recommended!! Ask for Hugo

they offered it on Jewel during the Nov 8th sailing. I think they were just trying to drum up business for the specialty restaurants. They said that the reservations were down.
It was a very interesting tour. Wish it had included the baking area. Maybe next time.

We just got back from a Royal Caribbean cruise with a stop in St Kitts. While having breakfast in the main dining room, one of the crew stopped a the table and gave us a warning about that previous passengers had gotten sick after buying water from vendors while in port. She explained that some times the bottle was opened and refilled with contaminated water and sometimes they inject something into the bottle that makes the person ill after drinking it. We were not sure if she was just trying to sell extra water from the ship or if these accounts were true, so we all bought the water on the ship.
has anyone else hear of this? thoughts?

Last year on the Jewel every night had a theme, 60's, 70's, 80's etc. A few of the guests had brought items with them that went with each theme. One guy had a leisure suit and an Afro wig. We are cruising on the Jewel again in a few weeks and would like to come prepared. How do you find this information before you board?
thanks

thank you for the pictures. We stop there on our cruise in November. The colors are gorgeous.
What part of NE Ohio? My husband is from Ashtabula.

we did whale watching in St Lucia and the plantation and Cruzen Rum tour in St Croix. both were fabulous! We saw lots of whales and we got to see and hear a lot of history on St Croix and we got to drink rum...

thanks for the reply.
yours is a much more appealing review. I think I'll wear capris and bring a pair of long socks.

We are considering the Mount Liamuiga Volcano Hike on our cruise in November and I have a couple questions.
1. it says wear long pants- is that required? just afraid that it might get too hot with jeans on.
2. I've read some scary reviews that this is the hardest/worst hike ever. We are active but not really hikers. We could do a moderate type hike, but some of the reviews said that there is considerable areas where you have to climb, etc. anyone else go on it and find this is true?
thanks

thank you for the replies. I'm not a lobster eater but my husband is, so he will be sad if there is no free lobster night. Sad they aren't different from the Caribbean routes but still looking forward to dinner.
